"You all will join the fight with Ren." Aveline didn't participate since she was a healer.
"We will do our best, Village Head." Darian, Hayden, Alaric, and Sofia said in unison.
They didn't want Aveline to end up marrying Branik, so they would give everything they had in the coming battle.
Aveline nodded.
Shortly after that, they left.

The following morning, Branik and his people came to Shadowleaf Village.
Like yesterday, he brought his strongest people with him.
When Aveline said she accepted the duel, his lips curled up into a smile. But after she mentioned her condition, his expression changed drastically.
"Aveline, this is a match between our villages. Why are you involving an outsider in this?" Branik didn't accept it.
"He is not an outsider. He is my daughter's future husband." Aveline was firm in her stance. "And he is a 2-star awakener like us. Why? Are you afraid of him?"
"He is at the same rank as us?" Branik asked.
