Two grown men were guarding the entrance gate. The brown-haired man was Samuel, while the red-haired one was Arlo.
Even though their village was still in danger, they didn't feel worried at all.
Awakeners from the Pillar Organization had arrived, so it was only a matter of time before they could kill all the magical creatures.
"I can't wait to eliminate them all!" Samuel hated them to the bone.
He had lost his good friends and relatives to them.
Now that the opportunity to avenge them had emerged, his heart throbbed with happiness.
"Me too." Arlo's hatred for them was as big as Samuel's. "In the upcoming battle, I will cut their bodies into pieces and scatter their blood onto the ground as payment for the people they slaughtered."
He then continued, "I won't stop until every single one of them screams in agony and feels exactly what their victims felt."
"Yes. We must make them face the consequences of killing our brothers and sisters." Samuel liked Arlo's idea.
