GA: Chapter 219 – Civilizational Development Requires Resources; The Importance of the Chat Group
"Bloodline reversion. Dual enhancement."
"Now, through these eyes, I can control the rotation of the Earth at will."
Uchiha Madara's expression was one of barely contained excitement. The bloodline reversion he spoke of wasn't a regression toward Kaguya Otsutsuki—it was toward the original Otsutsuki civilization. Genuine and complete.
And with the enhanced Rinnegan and Tenseigan, the original abilities had been amplified several times over.
He could feel the Earth's rotation. And he could pause it whenever he wished.
Uchiha Dance King: "Sacred Master. One match in the virtual arena."
His wariness of the Sacred Master's abilities had completely evaporated. Within the entire chat group, outside of Bai Xuan and Angel Yan, no one could match him anymore.
Not even Daigu.
Sacred Master: "Come."
The Sacred Master didn't waste words either—he was equally curious how strong Uchiha Madara had become.
"Ding—group member Uchiha Dance King has opened the virtual arena."
"Ding—group member Sacred Master has entered the virtual arena."
Lighthouse Tycoon: "…"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Anyone want to bet? Who wins?"
Golden Flash: "A draw seems the most likely outcome."
Golden Flash: "Though if Uchiha Madara uses sealing techniques, he might be able to beat the Sacred Master."
Golden Flash: "Even if he can't win outright, he absolutely won't lose."
From Uchiha Madara's own words, it was clear he could now control the Earth's rotation—his ocular power was at an unimaginable level.
Even the Sacred Master wouldn't be able to injure Uchiha Madara easily.
For the Sacred Master to win, his only realistic path would be waiting until Uchiha Madara exhausted his chakra—but was that actually possible?
Even the Nine-Tails was said to have essentially limitless chakra. What Uchiha Madara housed was the Ten-Tails.
No matter how liberally he spent chakra, depleting it entirely was an extremely tall order.
The oldest Godslayer: "A pointless match to watch."
The oldest Godslayer: "This old man is leaving."
He had no interest in observing someone else's fight right now. Right now, he was itching to train.
Power. He could finally increase his power again.
Sacred Master. Uchiha Madara. Luo Hao. Wait for it—he would surpass all of them eventually.
With a cold snort, Voban departed from the Naruto world.
"Shall we head back too?"
Su Yunqing said it hesitantly.
"What else did you have in mind?"
Bai Xuan gave her a mildly puzzled look, then vanished in a flash of light.
"Isn't this the part where we're supposed to eat a bowl of Ichiraku ramen?"
Was it them or was it her who was out of step?
Su Yunqing pursed her lips and left the world as well.
Behind them, only the unconscious forms of Kakuzu and Hidan remained.
"Yan, could you stop spacing out while we're talking?"
"I know multitasking is easy for us—but it's still rude."
"Especially when you know I can't see what you're watching."
Yan poked Angel Yan on the shoulder, visibly annoyed.
"They happened to be livestreaming, so I watched."
"You can't blame me for that—you weren't in it."
Angel Yan shrugged apologetically at Yan.
Yan puffed her cheeks, face written over with discontent.
"Hmph—you knew I couldn't possibly have been in it, and you showed off anyway."
Angel Yan smiled, then sent the transmigrator footage and the livestream clips over to Yan. Yan's expression shifted instantly from sulky to delighted, and she looked up at Angel Yan with a sweet smile:
"Thank you, Yan."
"You~"
The look in Angel Yan's eyes as she watched Yan was unmistakably fond.
As the youngest angel warrior, Yan occupied a little-sister role in the hearts of everyone around her—even Angel Leng, cold as she was, became genuinely gentle when it came to Yan.
"Yan—do you know what the greatest benefit of me joining the chat group has been for angel civilization?"
Angel Yan asked suddenly.
"The greatest benefit?"
"Those world systems that are different from technology?"
Yan tilted her head.
In her eyes, magic, spiritual qi, chakra, martial arts—all of these systems completely unlike anything in their current technology held enormous research value. If the underlying concepts could be understood and properly converted to the technological side, it would be unprecedented progress for angel civilization.
"Those are part of it."
Angel Yan shook her head, then gave her answer.
"The greatest benefit is resources."
Yan blinked, caught off guard.
"Every civilization's development is inseparable from resources."
"Especially in our world."
"Upgrading Divine Bodies and producing Super Gene Warrior enhancements both require massive quantities of resources—and upgrading Divine Bodies especially."
"The resource requirements are staggering. And certain materials are extremely rare—some nonrenewable."
"The known universe's total resources are finite. Angel civilization already controls a significant portion. Wanting more—other civilizations won't agree."
"We could wage war and seize those resources by force—but doing so violates the order of justice that defines us."
"What civilization wouldn't want all of its people to achieve divinity? The limitation isn't desire—it's resources."
Right now, angel civilization had three Fourth Generation Divine Bodies—and that was already its absolute limit. Their resources didn't permit another upgrade to that level, even if someone had the capability.
If they had enough resources—why stop at one more Fourth Generation? Why not universal Fourth Generation?
"The fact that our world doesn't have sufficient resources doesn't mean other worlds don't. We can even purchase resources that once existed in our world but have since vanished."
"Points—these aren't difficult for angel civilization to obtain."
"The cutting-edge technology angel civilization possesses—each piece alone is worth an enormous number of points."
"I can't fully understand why those technologies are available in the shop and yet the chat group is still willing to let us recycle them."
"But for us, it's not a bad thing."
"At minimum, we can exchange our research achievements for resources—and we don't have to worry about other civilizations in this world obtaining them."
At that, Angel Yan looked at Yan, her tone growing more complex.
"Bai Xuan's ability is exceptionally unusual. The authority he wields doesn't seem to be simply [Natural Authority]—Earth alone shouldn't be capable of granting power this vast."
"Laws. Concepts. Earth across all worlds and timelines—if our conjecture is correct…"
"He has a profound connection to something greater. To It."
"By coincidence or fate—angel civilization's future might take a great leap forward because of you."
"Hmm?"
Yan looked at Angel Yan in confusion. Why couldn't she be more specific?
What was different about Bai Xuan's ability?
Wasn't it the civilization he belonged to that had granted him that power?
And what was It?
And why would angel civilization take a great leap forward because of her?
