"You greedy old bastard, give you an inch and you take a mile."
"Do you think everyone is so stupid that they'd let you lead them by the nose?"
"Do you really think I don't have a temper?"
Zhou Xing grabbed the other man's collar and yanked it hard.
The Dean, who was sitting there, immediately stumbled and nearly fell to the floor, looking utterly pathetic.
He hadn't wanted it to come to this.
Campus corruption, tyrannical instructors... these things basically had nothing to do with him.
The complications involved were far too deep.
But The Dean's true colors were truly more than he could bear to look at.
Huang Hui was certainly loathsome.
All he could do was bully the New Students during military training.
Yet the greasy, obese middle-aged man before him was a Dean, in charge of the entire Music Department and tens of thousands of students.
Every move he made and every word he spoke directly affected the students.
He held the position but did not fulfill its duties.
A useless official who eats for free!
Instead of thinking about how to benefit the students, his mind was filled with filth and schemes on how to amass wealth.
Such a person was nothing short of a malignant tumor within the school.
There was already enough injustice in real life.
As an educator who should be a role model, he still reached out his greedy hands toward the students, adding an unbearable stench to this ivory tower.
Even Zhou Xing, who had lived two lives, could not remain indifferent when faced with such a person.
Fury surged within his heart.
The Dean hadn't expected Zhou Xing to suddenly lash out.
Snapping back to his senses, he tried his best to struggle free.
But at his age, having neglected exercise and spent his days indulging in wine, women, and wealth, how could he be a match for the young and vigorous Zhou Xing?
Despite his best efforts, Zhou Xing's hand was like an iron band, firmly gripping his collar without budging an inch.
The Dean's face turned beet red, but it was to no avail.
"Presumptuous!"
His expression darkened instantly as he slammed a hand onto the sofa, shouting in a towering rage, "I am your Dean! As a student, not only do you show no respect for your elders and teachers, but you even dare to lay a hand on me! Your behavior is atrocious to the extreme. I will definitely report this to the school and have you disciplined!"
"You? You think you're worthy?"
Hearing this, Zhou Xing sneered, "A role model for teachers, and in such a high position too."
"The Instructor Team bullies the New Students at will, yet you turn a deaf ear and indulge your subordinates. You don't seek the welfare of the students; you only think about how to squeeze them for money."
Zhou Xing patted The Dean's face. "Did you really think I didn't know what you were plotting? You certainly have the nerve to ask for fifty million. Do you even have the stomach to digest that much?"
"Aren't you afraid your belly will burst!"
Upon hearing this, The Dean's expression shifted repeatedly.
His expression gradually calmed as he let out a long sigh. "Student Zhou, is there some misunderstanding between us?"
"The fifty million I suggested was only to help resolve your request."
"After all, this is a donation. It would be handled by the school from start to finish; it has nothing to do with me personally."
The Dean said earnestly, "As a New Student, how could I possibly profit from you? As a Dean, it is my duty to solve problems for my students."
"Regarding the Instructor Team, I haven't hidden anything. It's not that I don't want to intervene, but I truly have no way to do so. I feel deeply guilty about it. I promised you I would report it to the School Authorities. As for whether they deal with it or how long it takes, I am just a Dean; I really don't have the power to resolve it myself."
"Besides, whether you donate or not is your choice; I have no right to interfere. From beginning to end, you were the one who made the request, and I was just trying to find a way to help you. There's no way I would scheme for your donation."
The Dean took a deep breath and continued, "Of course, I bear some responsibility as well. Perhaps I said something wrong that caused you to misunderstand and get so angry. It's normal for young people to be hot-headed; I've been there myself, so I understand."
"If there's any misunderstanding, we can just sit down and talk it out."
"Let go first... If the donation isn't feasible, we can think of other ways together. What do you say?"
Zhou Xing watched The Dean's performance and gave a cold laugh. "Misunderstanding?"
As expected of someone who had been a Dean for so many years; his ability to deflect and play 'Tai Chi' was truly masterful.
There wasn't a single flaw to be found in his words.
Someone inexperienced might even start to wonder if they really had misunderstood him.
But he... was not so easily fooled.
"You haven't learned the duties of a Dean, but you are exceptionally skilled at shirking responsibility. Most people might have been fooled by your words."
"Zhou Xing!"
Seeing that his words had no effect on Zhou Xing, The Dean's expression turned angry, and his tone sharpened. "Do you have any idea what you are doing right now, and what the consequences will be?"
"Breaking into The Dean's office and attacking me—I am your Dean and, in a sense, your teacher. This is more than enough to give you a major demerit or even expel you!"
"Your parents sent you to school to learn, not to show disrespect to your teachers and act recklessly."
After saying this, The Dean advised earnestly, "If you let go now, I can let bygones be bygones. Young people make mistakes, especially as a New Student; it's quite normal. But if you remain stubborn, don't blame me for dealing with you severely!"
"You wouldn't want your parents to see you expelled or even have a criminal record, would you?"
Zhou Xing's eyes narrowed slightly. "The soft approach didn't work, so now you're trying the hard way, are you?"
"Zhou Xing, don't stray onto the wrong path!"
The Dean's face darkened again as he lost his patience. "I am giving you a warning right now..."
Before he could finish his sentence...
He saw Zhou Xing's clenched fist growing larger in front of his eyes.
Finally, it slammed heavily into his face.
*Crack.*
His nose bridge snapped.
Blood sprayed everywhere.
The Dean let out a scream like a slaughtered pig; he hadn't imagined that Zhou Xing would actually dare to hit him.
He clutched his nose as blood seeped through his fingers. The intense pain drove his anger to the limit, and his hand shook as he pointed at Zhou Xing.
"You dare to hit a teacher!"
"A student like you, who has no regard for the law, deceives superiors, and lacks any respect for teachers, doesn't deserve to be in our school at all!"
"I'm going to expel you! Keeping someone like you in this school will only bring shame upon it!"
The Dean was livid. "I'll call the police and have you face the full force of the law! Let's see which school would ever admit a piece of scum like you after this!"
"Security!"
The Dean shouted, "Someone, come quickly!"
*Slap!*
Zhou Xing's slap forced The Dean's words back down his throat.
His gaze was sharp. Even at this point, this guy was still trying to threaten him, treating him like a three-year-old child.
With a casual push from Zhou Xing, The Dean fell to the ground like a piece of trash.
He gasped for breath, covered in blood and looking utterly hideous.
Zhou Xing straightened his clothes. After confirming no blood had splattered on him, he sat leisurely on the sofa and looked at the man calmly. "Let me introduce myself again. My name is Zhou Xing, and my father's name is Zhou Jianping."
"It's fine if you don't know who my father is; I'll give you time to find out. Of course, you can also use this time to call the police or discipline me."
"But we can have a try and see who exactly will be the first one to get kicked out of this school!"
