Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Hasn't Learned to Act Human

The instructor stood before everyone with his hands behind his back.

His skin was dark, making it impossible to tell his age.

With a stern face, he fixed his gaze on the crowd.

The students fell silent involuntarily and subconciously straightened their posture.

They peeked at the instructor before them with a bit of fear, their hearts filled more with curiosity and apprehension.

Zhou Xing, however, knew better.

The instructor in front of them wasn't an actual Soldier.

His name was Huang Hui, a junior and a member of the Hucheng Conservatory of Music Instructor Team.

The Hucheng Conservatory of Music formed an Instructor Team every year.

They were subjected to militarized management and daily training.

Then, in the following year... they would be responsible for the New Students' military training.

Most instructors were also students, so they were relatively easygoing with the students and didn't put on airs.

Spending time together... was also quite pleasant.

During the fifteen days of military training, they might even build deep friendships with these people.

They might even become good friends after the military training ended.

Similarly, there were also some people... who held themselves in high regard.

They wouldn't hesitate to deliberately suppress the New Students to show off their own status.

The more miserable the New Students were, the more smug they felt inside.

Huang Hui was a prime example of this.

In his past life... when he was in charge of Zhou Xing's formation, he put on the airs of an instructor to the extreme.

Relying on his status as an instructor, he wantonly suppressed the New Students.

The slightest mistake would result in thunderous punishment.

Class-wide push-ups and running laps around the field were just par for the course.

It was also extremely common for him to physically strike or verbally abuse them, or to pull someone out to be beaten individually, making them a laughingstock to crush their self-esteem.

He was exceptionally harsh toward girls with average looks.

When facing those with a bit of beauty, he would use the excuse of teaching to openly create opportunities for physical contact.

The students in military training were all New Students.

They had no idea that the instructor before them was merely a fellow student.

Being new arrivals.

They felt timid, so as long as things weren't taken too far, they basically chose to endure it.

There were also many from extremely wealthy families who had been pampered since childhood.

They had never been treated like this before and would resist in indignation.

Huang Hui, however, would team up with other instructors he was on good terms with to punch and kick them.

Then he would report to the school that the student had a terrible attitude and refused to cooperate with the military training.

School disciplinary actions or even expulsion.

This left them with no choice but to swallow their anger.

Huang Hui would then become even more excessive, making things difficult for these so-called 'troublemaker' students without any concealment.

It proved the saying.

Those with a little bit of power want to use it every single moment.

He hadn't learned even thirty percent of how to act like a decent human, yet he displayed seventy percent of the bureaucratic posturing to its fullest, having mastered all the bad habits.

In his past life, after the military training ended, the New Students who were full of resentment were instantly furious when they learned that Huang Hui was just an ordinary junior student, feeling they had been greatly insulted.

Then... Huang Hui was mysteriously beaten up and spent over a month in the hospital.

Just as he recovered and was discharged, he was beaten into the hospital again with a bag over his head.

Huang Hui was beaten into submission... he chose to drop out, and there was never any news of him again.

But that was after the military training.

Zhou Xing thought for a moment and had already made a decision in his heart.

After the morning training session ended... he would find a way to leave this military training... Huang Hui stood above them, looking at these New Students, and remained silent for a long time before speaking: "Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is Huang Hui."

"Starting from today, I will be your instructor for the fifteen-day military training."

"With me... there are no excuses, no other ways. There is only one thing you need to do, and that is to obey my orders absolutely."

Huang Hui's voice was loud and clear: "If I tell you to go east, you cannot go west. If I say you are pigs, you cannot say you are dogs. Do you hear me?"

"We hear you."

A few scattered responses rang out from the crowd.

"It seems you don't really take my words to heart, do you?"

Huang Hui picked his ear with his finger, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly, but a cold glint appeared in his eyes: "In that case... everyone, attention!"

"Everyone, run ten laps around the field!"

"Right now!"

The ranks became a bit restless, and everyone looked at each other. They were all high-spirited young people facing Huang Hui's attempt to intimidate them right from the start.

And ten laps around the field.

This was a standard university track; one lap was a full eight hundred meters.

After ten laps!

They'd be lucky to survive.

"Instructor!"

A young man with dyed yellow hair stood out, looking indignant: "The instructors of the other teams are letting them introduce themselves and play some small games to get to know each other. Why is it that as soon as it's our turn, we have to run ten laps?"

"There are so many girls in the formation, and most of them haven't eaten breakfast. After ten laps... few people will be able to take it."

"If we're run into the ground, what about the rest of the military training?"

His words were immediately echoed by everyone: "Exactly, we're here for military training, not to be treated like dogs. Even if you're the instructor, there's no sense in this."

Hearing this, Huang Hui's face darkened instantly: "Are you questioning me?"

"Am I the instructor, or are you the instructor!"

"Remember, you are under me, not in other formations. If you don't want to stay here, that's your business; you can choose to leave at any time."

Huang Hui had a contemptuous smile on his face: "Of course, you can also try to see if other formations will choose to accept you. When the time comes and nobody wants you, and you can't complete your military training—affecting even your normal start of the semester—don't come blaming me!"

A blatant threat.

For the New Students, the effect was very significant.

After all... even for students from extremely prominent families, if their parents found out they had been expelled from school, they wouldn't escape a severe beating upon returning home.

Huang Hui saw the students gradually quiet down, and the disdain in his eyes grew even stronger: "If you stay here with me, then you must obey all my orders. I don't care what others do, but here at least, my word is absolute authority!"

"You, Little Yellow-hair, since you're so willing to show off, then you shall be punished on behalf of all the students."

Huang Hui pointed at the yellow-haired youth who spoke first: "Go run ten laps!"

"On what grounds!"

The yellow-haired youth also lost his temper, glaring at Huang Hui.

Huang Hui, however, suddenly lashed out!

He stepped quickly in front of the yellow-haired youth, punched him in the face, and then followed up with a heavy kick.

He kicked the yellow-haired youth hard in the stomach.

In pain, the yellow-haired youth immediately collapsed to the ground.

Huang Hui stood with his hands behind his back, looking at him coldly: "I'll give you two choices. Either obediently run ten laps for me now, or get out of the formation. I will report your refusal to fulfill your military training obligations to the school in meticulous detail."
