Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Jealousy Makes My Cells Plasmolyze

Zhou Xing opened his eyes.

The sunlight was glaring.

He glanced at the time; it was already close to one o'clock in the afternoon.

He got up, rubbing his slightly throbbing head.

Zhou Xing looked at Luo Qianqian, still asleep beside him, breathing evenly.

He nudged Luo Qianqian and said it was time to get up for lunch.

Luo Qianqian merely furrowed her brows tightly, didn't open her eyes, mumbled a few indistinct words, turned over, and fell back asleep... Zhou Xing chuckled softly, didn't bother her further, washed up alone, then went to the dining room. After eating a little something to fill his stomach, he instructed Butler Wang to have the kitchen prepare a meal to be sent up once Luo Qianqian woke up.

Butler Wang naturally agreed.

And he would estimate the timing, with the head chef on standby at all times, ensuring Luo Qianqian got the freshest and most delicious food.

This was a privilege of being a hotel VIP guest.

Having dealt with these matters.

Zhou Xing went downstairs, found the Lamborghini, and got into the driver's seat.

It was about time... Chang Wenyu had already sent him the time and location yesterday.

They were meeting at The Bund at 2:30 PM.

Zhou Xing started the car, it roared to life, and he drove out of the hotel, heading towards The Bund... Following the address, he arrived at a pier by The Bund.

This made him somewhat puzzled.

Weren't they attending an event... why come to a pier?

"Brother, over here."

He had just gotten out of the car and was about to call Chang Wenyu when he heard Chang Wenyu's voice.

He looked up and saw a group of people standing in front of the pier in the distance, with a three-story white yacht docked beside them.

Chang Wenyu came up to meet him: "Brother, you finally made it."

"Wasn't it agreed for 2:30? There are still five minutes left."

Zhou Xing glanced at his wristwatch, his tone indifferent.

"Wow, you're really punctual."

Chang Wenyu gave Zhou Xing a thumbs up, then glanced at the watch on his wrist and immediately said with some surprise, "Richard Mille?"

"You recognize it?"

Zhou Xing also felt somewhat surprised.

"Do you think I'm some country bumpkin who's never seen the world?"

Chang Wenyu looked at Zhou Xing with a resentful expression: "Although this brand isn't that famous, in recent years, it's been really hot in our circle; quite a few of my friends have bought one."

"I wanted to buy one too, but damn, it's really expensive."

Chang Wenyu said frankly, then asked, "How much did you pay for this watch when you bought it?"

"Over six hundred, less than seven hundred."

Zhou Xing explained: "The mclaren collaboration limited edition."

"You're really willing to spend."

Chang Wenyu wouldn't make the same mistake as An Ya, thinking the unit was *kuai*: "Seems you really like watches too?"

He actually didn't find it that surprising.

After all, among the Second-generation rich, what they pursue is pretty much the same.

Luxury cars, famous watches... are already commonplace.

"It's okay, but compared to watches, I like luxury cars a bit more."

Chang Wenyu, somewhat excited, wanted to put his arm around Zhou Xing's shoulder, but realized their heights were completely mismatched, so he could only withdraw his hand and said, "Then you've come to the right place today."

"You're absolutely going to be blown away later."

Chang Wenyu kept him in suspense, then said, "First, let me introduce you to these friends."

"This is a friend I met recently, Zhou Xing, from Jiangcheng."

Chang Wenyu pointed at Zhou Xing and introduced him to the group: "Don't look at him being only eighteen, he's already a private high-end banking client of China Merchants Bank, with a Private Secretary assigned."

Everyone present, upon hearing this, had a slight gleam in their eyes.

Chang Wenyu then smiled and introduced them to Zhou Xing one by one, pointing at a young man wearing green sportswear, slightly chubby, and said: "He's Chang Tong, my cousin. He likes watches too, just like me."

"Hey, man, nice to meet you."

Chang Tong seemed very outgoing by nature, completely without the airs of a Second-generation rich kid, actively greeting Zhou Xing.

"Hello."

Zhou Xing also smiled and nodded slightly.

"Whoa, Richard Mille, and the mclaren collaboration edition. If I remember correctly, it should be close to seven million, right?"

Chang Tong looked at the watch on Zhou Xing's wrist, raised an eyebrow and smiled.

"Six-point-seven, less than seven."

Zhou Xing added.

"That's still not cheap."

Chang Tong asked with some envy: "Brother, what does your family do? Giving you so much cash flow at just eighteen."

"When I was eighteen, I begged my family to buy me a Ferrari, and they absolutely refused."

Chang Wenyu added from the side: "He just bought a big bull."

Chang Tong's face immediately fell: "Jealousy makes my cells plasmolize!"

Zhou Xing smiled faintly and explained from the side: "We do some real industry, in the energy sector."

"From what I know, those in the energy sector are all super big players in real industry!"

Chang Tong widened his eyes: "Your family isn't the richest in Jiangcheng, is it? No wonder you can afford a nearly seven-million-yuan Richard Mille at just eighteen, and are an Ultra-High Net Worth Private Banking client of China Merchants Bank."

"Just a small micro-enterprise, not worth mentioning."

Zhou Xing shook his head.

Chang Tong's eyes went wide: "Do we have a different understanding? By your logic, is Yan Yan also a small micro-enterprise?"

"They actually are."

At that moment.

A somewhat thin, not very tall young man covered in tattoos beside them said with a smile: "Even now, their registration with the Administration for Industry and Commerce shows they are still a small micro-enterprise, with fewer than forty employees, still enjoying the tax benefits for small micro-enterprises."

"Damn."

Chang Tong, not convinced, took out his phone and searched. Seeing the information, he couldn't help but say, "It really is."

After saying that, he didn't forget to add a Make complaints: "That's some thick skin. The parent company has fewer than forty employees, but its subsidiaries alone have more than forty."

"Watch it, that's a pretty broad generalization you're making. Basically everyone here got hit by that."

The thin young man said from the side.

"Sorry."

Chang Tong looked at Zhou Xing, then quickly turned to everyone present and said, "I take back what I just said. Your definition of'small micro-enterprise' is completely different from mine. Sorry, big brothers, please don't give me trouble."

Everyone burst into laughter because of Chang Tong.

Zhou Xing also laughed heartily: "It's fine."

Chang Tong was clearly a joker, no wonder Chang Wenyu chose to bring him.

As long as he was around.

Then the atmosphere wouldn't turn cold.

"This one, you should recognize."

Chang Wenyu introduced the young man who had just spoken to Zhou Xing.

The young man looked towards Zhou Xing.

Zhou Xing also nodded, a smile on his face as he said: "Of course I recognize him. How could I not know someone so famous in Shanghai?"
