Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: The Perfect Ending

The viewers were going crazy with their comments. Who would have thought a cockroach would turn out to be the tool for finding clues?

"That means the viewers have probably guessed it already. As long as we collect all the photo fragments, we can find the method to reach the perfect ending," Benjamin added.

"During the first five loops, the cockroach appears once each time. Just follow the cockroach."

"I'll demonstrate right here the locations of each photo fragment."

Saying that, Benjamin started moving again.

Some of these photo fragments were hidden behind the bathroom mirror, while others were tucked into the cracks in the wall tiles. Their positions were quite well concealed. Without following the cockroach's guidance, they would have been impossible to find.

But once you knew the trick, they became easy to locate. Before long, Benjamin had collected all the fragments and reached the sixth loop.

"Everyone, I've now successfully collected all the photo fragments. It's time to reveal the secret."

Pure White squatted on the ground, took out all the fragments he had gathered from the previous five loops, and pieced them together like a puzzle.

The viewers watched with rapt attention, afraid of missing even a single detail.

In the end, all the fragments formed one complete photo.

This photo was a family portrait of three people.

In the photo, the male protagonist, his pregnant wife, and their daughter stood together, smiling at the camera.

Every person's smile was filled with sweetness.

From this photo, there was absolutely no hint of the male protagonist's resentment toward his wife. It looked just like an ordinary, warm family of three.

The text on the back of the photo formed a single sentence:

[Don't believe the man in the radio. Destroy it.]

"As you can see, the clue we collected is a photo, and there's a sentence on the back that seems to tell us to destroy the radio!" Benjamin said.

"So, what will happen if we do exactly as it says?"

With that, Benjamin walked over to the radio sitting on the counter.

At that moment, the radio was playing the male host's final lines.

"You got fired, so you started drowning your sorrows in alcohol."

"She had no choice but to take a part-time cashier job at a supermarket."

However, Benjamin didn't wait for it to finish. He grabbed the radio and smashed it hard onto the ground!

Bang!

The radio instantly shattered into pieces!

At the same time, a shrill, blood-curdling scream suddenly rang out from nowhere.

"Did I just hear a scream?!!"

"Yeah, I heard it too. That scream sounded exactly like the man's voice from the radio!!"

"So what the hell is going on here?"

Amid the viewers' shock, the scream lasted only an instant before everything returned to calm once more.

"After smashing the radio, we continue forward."

Benjamin stepped forward. At that moment, the viewers suddenly noticed that the rope that had been hanging from the corridor beam, along with the stool placed beneath it, had completely vanished.

"The rope is gone?"

"And is it my imagination, or does the corridor not feel as dark anymore?"

"Look, there's light shining in from outside the windows!"

In the video, the corridor's atmosphere had indeed changed. Although it was still just as narrow, it now appeared much brighter.

It was no longer so eerie and gloomy.

"I think everyone can see the obvious changes happening around us now."

"And that's not all. After destroying the radio, we can successfully break free from the loop and leave this place!"

"So now, let's enjoy the game's perfect ending together!"

As Benjamin spoke, he walked step by step to the front door, opened it with a click, and stepped out.

A burst of bright light suddenly flooded in!

After the front door opened, it was indeed no longer the infinite looping corridor, but a wide-open street area!

The sky was a dull gray, as if covered by a thick layer of dense fog.

The streets were desolate, with not a single person in sight. The streetlights along the road kept flickering with an eerie yellow light.

"Holy shit, we really made it to the outside world!"

"I didn't expect we could actually walk out of the house!!"

"This outside world looks so realistic too. Holy shit, how can the modeling be this good?! It feels exactly like a real neighborhood!"

"Not only realistic, but it also feels incredibly creepy!!!"

"A world enveloped in thick fog, and it's terrifyingly quiet, without a single sound!"

"So this is the true meaning behind the name Silent Hill!"

"I have a feeling that if they release a sequel, the adventures will take place in this thick fog!"

Amid the viewers' exclamations of amazement, Benjamin, in the role of the male protagonist, walked step by step toward the dense fog ahead.

The next moment, a line of text popped up in the center of the screen:

[Produced by New World Studio]

[Congratulations on achieving the beta version perfect ending!]

[To be continued!]

"Well then, everyone, that was the perfect ending for Silent Hill PT!" Benjamin's voice came through:

"I think some viewers might not fully understand what happened at the end, so I'll explain it for you all."

"First of all, in this game's story, the male protagonist wasn't a murderer at all!"

"Everything was just lies told by the man in the radio!"
