Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Afraid

The livestream room instantly boiled over. Countless netizens were clamoring to see the legendary developer.

"Everyone, calm down! Everyone, calm down!" Jenny quickly said. After all, she had experience as an League of Legends tournament commentator and had seen big scenes before.

So Jenny wasn't intimidated by the enthusiastic audience. She even teased them.

"I have to say, you chats are going a bit too far, aren't you? Who taught you this? He's a proper game developer. Why are you all calling him a fucking developer!"

If it were anyone else, it would be one thing, but the fucking developer they were referring to was her own little brother. It sounded really unpleasant to her ears.

However, the viewers in the livestream immediately fired back.

"We learned it from you, Jenny!"

"Jenny, have you forgotten? When you first played Silent Hill PT, you were calling him fucking developer nonstop!"

"HAHAHA, that's right! We're just copying you!"

"..."

She thought back carefully and realized it was true!

When she had been scared senseless while playing the game, she had frantically cursed the game developer. Fucking devs was a phrase she had shouted out at the time.

But back then, she was simply venting her fear. Who could have known that the game developer was actually her own little brother!

That round of cursing had been a total loss!

In fact, it was precisely because Jenny's test play recording had been so entertaining, and because her experience in the game had been so miserable, with the developer's malice clearly felt at every turn, that players had started calling him fucking developer along with her.

Of course, it wasn't meant as an insult. It had become a playful nickname, representing the players' love for the game Silent Hill PT.

"Sigh, alright then." Jenny was left speechless. She continued.

"Let me tell you, I had to work really hard to get this opportunity. So later on, you guys better send me some subs!"

Jenny lied without even blushing as she shamelessly asked for subs.

The viewers were very cooperative. The moment she finished speaking, another wave of subs flooded the livestream room!

They were flooding the chat!

"Wow, okay okay, that's enough! No need to send more!"

Seeing the viewers spamming gifts so enthusiastically, Jenny actually started to feel a little embarrassed. It really felt like she and her brother were teaming up to scam money!

"Alright, I'm connecting the call now!"

With that, Jenny joined the discord call.

Lucien had already been waiting. He quickly joined the call.

"Hello!" Jenny greeted first.

"Hello, Jenny," Lucien replied promptly. "And hello to all the viewers in the livestream."

"Damn, the fucking developer isn't showing his face!"

"And his using a voice changer too!"

The two had barely exchanged greetings when the viewers in the livestream couldn't help but start commenting.

This developer seemed a bit shy!

"HAHAHAHA, my viewers are all complaining that you're not showing your face and that your using a voice changer!" Jenny teased.

"Of course. If I don't disguise it properly, I'm afraid I'll get recognized on the street and beaten up by players!" Lucien replied with a laugh.

"Hahaha!"

"That's actually a real risk!"

"Who told you to make such a scary game to frighten everyone!"

"Scaring us like this, even getting beaten up would be letting you off easy!"

The viewers burst into loud laughter. This fucking dev was quite humorous. They liked him!

"May I ask how we should address you, developer?" Jenny asked again as she and Lucien began their rehearsed performance.

"You can just call me Mr. Anon" Lucien replied.

"Then, viewers, do you have any questions you want to ask Mr. Anon? If you do, send them in. I'll pick some to ask him." Jenny immediately turned to the audience.

The viewers were very enthusiastic. In a flash, a huge wave of questions flooded the chat.

Jenny began selecting questions. Since she had already discussed it with Lucien beforehand, she skipped any overly tricky ones.

For example, questions asking for specific information about New World Studio were directly ignored. Most of those were probably sent by paid posters from internet companies trying to fish for details.

"Then I'll start with this one. Mr. Anon, is your New World Studio team made up entirely of American people?"

Jenny asked the first question.

"Mm, all the members of our team are from America." Lucien answered promptly.

"And I can confidently say that our team is absolutely top-tier in the gaming industry!"

"Our team has only one goal: to show the whole world that our country can also truly dominate games!"

These words felt incredibly satisfying to the viewers in the livestream. They struck right at their hearts!
