The Boy of Time
Subject: Programme Zéro n°???Born: Midnight, precisely between December 31, 2011, and January 1, 2012Description: Brunette boy capable of manipulating time, at the cost of devastating physical consequences.He saves the Mute Girl by deciding to sacrifice his life.He is ultimately saved by Noah, a mysterious future version of himself, who trains him to master his powers.He has no name.
Noah
Future version of the Boy of Time.Capable of stopping time for thirty seconds without any physical aftereffects.Leader of the NoName organization; he uses the organization's name itself as his alias.It is revealed by Mike that he had a mentor and is committed to honoring his mentor's will.
The Man Without a Name
Brunette man, elegant, dressed in a three-piece suit.Mysterious figure who seems to know everything about the unfolding events.Capable of terrifying a battle-hardened general and entering and leaving Area 51 undetected, as if he were simply going shopping.Mysteriously immune to time-stopping abilities.Able to temporarily restore sight and the ability to walk to a blind and paralyzed person, and to defeat Noah with a mere flick of the finger.He compares current events to biblical references and appears to be pursuing a mysterious quest.He approaches Zoé Kovács under the stolen identity of Dr. William Campbell, with the intention of using her as a counterforce to Noah.He heals her, but is unmasked and trapped by her in 2020, then imprisoned in a secret, ultra-secure Scottish facility.He mysteriously appears in 2009 in front of the real William Campbell, before disappearing with the "Stone of God."
Zoé Kovács
Subject: Programme Zéro n°333Born: March 2010Taken in by Count Duncan, who finds her bloodied at the door of his manor after Noah's rescue.Following the purge of Programme Zéro, she suffers from motor paralysis of the legs and loss of sight.Described as a "born survivor," having survived two tragedies, including a hostage situation at age five, of which she was the sole survivor.Quietly deported into Programme Zéro at the same age.
Dr. William Campbell
Born: 1971Genius scientist, award-winning and highly regarded.Sent to Iraq in 2006 following the discovery of a mysterious stone he names the "Stone of God."Obsessed with this discovery, he conducts inhuman experiments, killing an undetermined number of people to test the Stone's selection process.He determines that the stone selects based on the innocence of the person approaching it, and that it is not solely a matter of age.In 2009, he discovers that no one can actually touch the stone-only approach it. Forced to shut down the program following a change in presidency and the withdrawal of troops from Iraq, he nevertheless continues his obsession.In a final act, obsessed with finding the "point where everything begins" (which he symbolically names Programme Zéro), he decides to return to Scotland to retrieve his son and use his innocence to approach the stone.His son is saved at the last moment by the Man Without a Name.Exposed to the stone himself (which disappears with the Man Without a Name), he sets out to search for its fragments around the world, knowing he has only two years left to live, like the other exposed subjects.After exposure, he appears to have gained regenerative abilities.He receives approval from his superiors to continue Programme Zéro. As of the latest reports, he is still searching for the fragments worldwide.
Léo
Orphan taken in by Maria.He stole a watch from the Man Without a Name, who let him keep it after assessing his situation.He now lives with the Mute Girl and Maria.
Maria
Sick woman in her thirties, mysteriously recovered after her encounter with the Man Without a Name.The illness eventually catches up with her.It is revealed that she died one year before the reunion between the Mute Girl and the Boy of Time, in December 2023.
Agathe MacLeòid
Born: 1977Former wife of William Campbell.She falls in love with him at age twenty. They marry and have a child she names Isaac.Over time, she watches with dismay as her husband becomes increasingly obsessed with his work, to the point of completely neglecting family life.Reluctantly, she decides to divorce.Five years later, William reappears and asks to reconnect with his son, showing him his work.She agrees, on the condition that she accompanies them.Horrified by William's attempt to bring their son into contact with the "Stone of God," she calls him a monster before leaving with Isaac.
Mike
Born: 1980Member of the NoName organization.He discovers the Child of Time bloodied at his door after Noah's rescue, in 2019.Presented as a simple-minded man, but appears to hide a heavy past.He confronts Noah about his responsibilities. Noah replies that he will honor his mentor's will and bring salvation to his family.Mike seems to deeply respect Noah despite his young age.
Isaac Campbell
Born: 2001Son of Agathe MacLeòid and William Campbell.He sees his parents divorce at age three.Five years later, his father reappears, wishing to reconnect and share his passion.Isaac admires his father's work and scientific genius.In 2009, during the activation of the "Stone of God" that triggers chaos, his father takes him near the stone and asks him to approach it as closely as possible.Isaac nearly touches the stone but is stopped at the last moment by the Man Without a Name.He leaves with his mother.Having been exposed to the stone, he has only two years left to live.
Ilona Virtanen
Investigator apparently leading a team tasked with investigating Programme Zéro.She manages to interrogate the Man Without a Name in his Scottish prison, despite the absolute secrecy surrounding the very existence of the facility.She emerges disturbed from the interrogation, after the Man Without a Name names her before she even introduces herself, declaring that she will have a role to play in a divine scenario.
