Chapter 208 - Chapter 13: Return to the Naruto World

Although Rowan was a god, he was still a newly born one. There remained a considerable gap between him and an ancient deity like Ankhseram.

Therefore, before his wings had fully grown, he had no intention of challenging Ankhseram's authority.

Ur could only be resurrected in another world.

After bringing her back to life, he could quietly return her to this world.

That way, he might be able to hide the resurrection from Ankhseram. After all, the god did not spend every second of every day observing everything happening in the mortal world, much less the life and death of some minor individual.

The deity was not that bored.

However, before resurrecting Ur, the first and most important step was locating her soul.

As for where Ur's soul might be—

barring any surprises, it should still be inside the enormous block of ice sealing Deliora.

As everyone knew, the Black Wizard Zeref had created numerous demons in an attempt to resurrect his younger brother, Natsu.

Deliora was one of them.

It was an immortal demon that committed atrocities wherever it went, leaving countless deaths in its wake. It could destroy an entire city in less than a day. It had once annihilated Gray's hometown and indirectly caused the deaths of his parents.

The demon was extraordinarily powerful. Even Ur, whose strength was comparable to that of a Wizard Saint, had lost a leg while fighting it.

However, Ur later froze it using the forbidden spell Iced Shell.

This spell sacrificed the user's physical body in exchange for permanently sealing the enemy in ice.

After Deliora was frozen, Ur's body disappeared, but her soul had most likely remained inside the enormous block of ice imprisoning the demon.

It seemed a trip to Galuna Island was unavoidable.

Rowan made his decision.

After returning to Fairy Tail with Erza, Rowan explained his idea to her.

"Count me in."

The moment Erza heard that Rowan intended to save Ur's soul, she made her decision without hesitation.

"Alright."

Rowan did not refuse. The two accepted the request and immediately departed.

It took them less than a day to reach Galuna Island.

The Door-Door Fruit was simply far too convenient. Combined with farsight magic, Rowan could reach any place he could see.

After arriving on Galuna Island, Rowan and Erza did not alert the island's natives. Instead, they travelled directly to the ruins of the Moon Temple.

Beneath the ruins was an enormous underground chamber.

A gigantic block of ice stood within it, sealing a hideous demon inside.

Deliora.

Two people stood guard before the ice.

Anyone familiar with the story knew that one was Ur's disciple and Gray's senior fellow apprentice, Lyon Vastia.

The other was Lyon's devoted admirer, Sherry Blendy.

How should this girl be described?

Her parents had been killed by Deliora during her childhood, causing her to hate the demon. She constantly followed Gray's senior fellow apprentice, Lyon Vastia, and was deeply infatuated with him.

She had once left her guild to help him defeat their shared enemy. During the Galuna Island Arc, her Doll Attack Magic was defeated by Lucy's Celestial Spirit contracts.

During the Oración Seis Arc, she temporarily fell into darkness after mistakenly believing Lyon had died. She regained her senses when he reappeared and subsequently developed feelings for Ren Akatsuki of Blue Pegasus.

Seven years later, she became engaged to Ren, completing her transformation from Lyon's follower into an independent mage.

Wasn't this also a form of being cuckolded?

As for Gray's senior fellow apprentice Lyon, he remained single in the end.

It had to be said that this was a rather tragic story.

Hearing footsteps echoing through the vast underground chamber, Lyon and Sherry were startled simultaneously and turned toward the source.

Rowan and Erza entered their sight.

"You're… the Fairy Queen, Erza Scarlet?"

Lyon recognised Erza immediately.

As a famous member of the Fairy Tail Guild, Erza was extremely well known. Anyone who read magazines or followed the news would recognise her.

"That's right."

Erza shifted her gaze from Deliora to Lyon.

"You're Ur's disciple, Lyon, aren't you?"

Lyon was greatly startled.

"How is that possible? How do you know?!!!"

He was currently wearing a mask. Even someone familiar with him might not have recognised him.

Yet Erza, who had never met him before, had immediately exposed his identity.

It was deeply unsettling.

Erza calmly said, "Deliora is already dead. You can leave."

"Nonsense."

Lyon instinctively denied it.

"How could Deliora possibly be dead? It's an immortal demon."

If it were already dead, how could he prove that he had surpassed Ur?

Therefore, such a thing was absolutely impossible.

He refused to acknowledge it.

Erza looked at him with pity.

"Everyone dies. Demons are no exception. Deliora has been frozen for so many years that the cold has long since destroyed every cell in its body."

"The moment the ice melts will be the moment Deliora dies."

"Impossible. Absolutely impossible."

Lyon refused to believe Erza's nonsense.

She was merely the Fairy Queen, and she did not even practise Ice-Make Magic. What could she possibly understand about Iced Shell?

Erza sighed and turned toward Rowan.

"Can you melt the ice?"

"Of course."

Rowan threw a punch. His fist transformed into magma and slammed heavily into the enormous block of ice.

Magma-Magma Fruit—

Great Eruption!

Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!

The instant the scorching magma struck the frozen ice, the clash between extreme heat and cold produced vast quantities of steam.

Lyon and Sherry continuously retreated.

The entire underground chamber became filled with steam until one could not see a hand held before one's face. The air turned hot and damp, and their clothes became sticky and uncomfortable against their skin.

Rowan waved his hand.

A powerful gust swept through the chamber, carrying all the steam away.

The underground space quickly became dry once again.

Everyone raised their heads and saw that an enormous hole had appeared in the ice imprisoning Deliora.

"How is this possible?"

Lyon's eyes widened, his pupils trembling violently.

That ice had been created by the forbidden spell his teacher Ur had cast at the cost of her life.

It should have been impossible to melt with ordinary flames.

Otherwise, he would never have travelled such a great distance and used the Moon Drip created from moonlight to thaw it.

"Nothing is impossible."

Rowan glanced at Lyon, who had begun questioning reality, and said casually,

"Every spell has a limit. Ur's Iced Shell was powerful, but it was not truly indestructible."

"The reason I could break it is simple."

"I'm stronger than Ur. That's all."

Lyon opened his mouth to argue, but he had no idea how to respond.

At that moment, because a massive hole had appeared in the ice, the absolute seal was broken.

Cracks suddenly spread across the remaining ice until it shattered into countless pieces and fell to the ground.

Deliora was freed.

The instant Deliora escaped after being frozen for ten years, it released a deafening roar of ecstatic joy.

"Roooooar!!!"

The earth-shattering roar shook the atmosphere, sending visible ripples spreading outward.

Even the entire underground chamber began trembling.

Seeing this, Lyon was overjoyed. He pointed at Deliora and shouted,

"See that? Deliora isn't dead! It's still alive!!!"

Rowan remained unmoved, crossing his arms before his chest.

Erza was equally calm.

Their reaction made Lyon feel that something was wrong, and he turned toward Deliora.

After releasing its earth-shattering roar, Deliora attempted to take a step.

But at that very moment, cracks began appearing across its body.

Under Lyon's disbelieving gaze, the supposedly immortal demon shattered.

Just like the ice that had imprisoned it, its body broke into pieces and collapsed across the ground.

It never revived.

At that moment, Lyon finally understood.

Erza had been right.

Deliora was dead.

During the long years it had spent frozen, the cold had already killed every piece of flesh in its body.

Even an immortal demon could not survive such damage.

The deafening roar it had released moments earlier had merely been its final burst of life.

Ur had truly killed the immortal demon with her own power.

"So in the end, I still never surpassed my teacher?"

Lyon's body swayed slightly before he collapsed onto the ground with a thud.

He began laughing uncontrollably, his laughter filled with self-mockery and unwillingness.

Seeing him like this caused Sherry's heart to ache.

"Lord Lyon, please don't be like this."

Sherry was delighted that Deliora was dead, but after seeing Lyon in such a state, she could no longer feel happy.

She became flustered, having no idea how to comfort him.

In the end, she threw her arms around Lyon, intending to warm him with her body.

The corners of Rowan's mouth twitched.

It felt as though someone had violently shoved a mouthful of dog food down his throat.

However, when he remembered that Lyon would be cuckolded seven years later, Rowan suddenly felt happy again.

Ah…

What an ugly mentality.

After thoroughly despising himself, Rowan gave Erza a look.

"Alright. Let's go."

Erza nodded and turned away without hesitation.

Her decisive departure left Sherry completely confused.

What exactly had these two come here to do?

Had they specifically come to crush Lord Lyon's confidence?

That was far too cruel.

That old woman Erza must have known that Lord Lyon would surpass her one day, so she deliberately came here to destroy his confidence and make him fall into despair, all so she could preserve her own position.

Aaaaah!

The members of Fairy Tail were truly despicable!

Completely unaware of the wild story Sherry had invented in her mind, Erza followed Rowan out of the cavern and asked,

"Did you find it?"

"I did."

Rowan said, "But we can't resurrect her in this world. We need to keep it hidden from Ankhseram."

Erza nodded.

Having read the story, she naturally understood how terrifying and troublesome that deity was.

Thus, she followed Rowan into the world of Naruto, where they found Senju Tobirama.

At this time, Senju Tobirama had already returned to Konoha and become the Hokage once again.

As for the Third Hokage, Tobirama had long since kicked him out of office and sent him away to enjoy his retirement.
