With questions weighing on their minds, Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju kept reading.
One conspiracy after another in the world of Naruto was slowly peeled back before them.
The Akatsuki, the Rinnegan, Nagato, Obito Uchiha, Madara Uchiha, Black Zetsu, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki… layer upon layer of nested schemes unfolded right in front of their eyes.
Especially when Madara had just become the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki, only to have Black Zetsu stab him straight through the chest and bring about Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's complete return.
Hashirama looked absolutely heartbroken.
"Madara, you idiot! How could you trust some random guy whose origins you didn't even know?"
Tobirama, on the other hand, was grinning from ear to ear. He burst out laughing on the spot, looking like he was about to join the ranks of the Uchiha laugh-maniac hall of fame.
"To think you got played like a fool by some nobody, Madara Uchiha. And here I thought you were so powerful. Turns out you were a complete idiot from start to finish."
At that moment, he genuinely wished Madara were standing right there in front of him so he could laugh in his face to his heart's content.
"Shut up, Tobirama."
Hashirama didn't hesitate. He punched his younger brother and cut off his cackling.
"Madara's already suffered enough, and you're still laughing at him? What's wrong with you?"
"Brother, I'm your actual younger brother!"
Tobirama was furious. His brother had actually hit him for Madara's sake. It was ridiculous.
Hashirama ignored him completely and turned to Orochimaru instead.
"You're Orochimaru, right? Can't you summon Madara too? He has to know about this. We can't let him keep getting fooled."
This time, Tobirama didn't object.
Because he also really wanted to see the look on Madara's face after learning he'd been tricked. That way, he could keep mocking him even more.
Sniping at someone from afar was nowhere near as satisfying as jumping right in their face.
Just imagining the scene was enough to make Tobirama excited.
The moment Rowan saw the eager look on Tobirama's face, he knew exactly what the man was thinking.
He couldn't help sighing inwardly.
As expected of Tobirama Senju. The guy really was black-hearted.
But after hearing that request, Orochimaru shook his head.
"After Madara Uchiha died, his corpse fell into Black Zetsu's hands. I don't have his cells, so I can't use Edo Tensei to bring him back."
Hashirama thought about it and realized that made sense. His mood immediately sank.
He wanted to help Madara, but now he couldn't even do that. He really was useless.
Meanwhile, Tobirama glanced at his older brother, then looked away. He was already used to this side of Hashirama. Instead, his gaze shifted to Tsunade.
"Little Tsunade, what happened after that?"
Judging from Naruto alone, the story clearly ended on a happy note. If that had been all there was to it, Tsunade would never have summoned them back. That meant even more had happened afterward.
Tsunade looked at Rowan, and Rowan took out Boruto.
The moment Hashirama heard that, he forgot all about being depressed and immediately crowded in beside Tobirama to read Boruto together.
After they finished, both of them fell silent.
"The Ōtsutsuki clan…"
Tobirama let out a long sigh.
The ninja world had only enjoyed a little more than a decade of peace, and already Kara, clones, scientific ninja tools, and all kinds of chaos were appearing. Even aliens were descending one after another, and the overall power level had skyrocketed to an entirely different tier.
No wonder Tsunade had summoned them too.
The pressure really was immense.
But the problem was, they weren't actually much help either.
Even if Hashirama came back to life, he would still only be below Six Paths level.
He couldn't even beat Rinnegan Madara, much less the stronger members of the Ōtsutsuki clan.
Hashirama's expression turned grave as well. The Ōtsutsuki were indeed monstrously powerful. He couldn't see any way to defeat them.
"Little Tsunade, we're already dead. We may not be able to help you."
"And even if I came back to life, I still wouldn't be able to beat those Ōtsutsuki."
"The future of the ninja world… you may have to figure it out yourselves."
Tobirama said, "As much as I hate to admit it, this time my brother is right."
Tsunade quickly said, "This situation isn't hopeless."
Rowan casually handed them a set of One Piece manga.
Tsunade explained, "Rowan has the ability to travel to other worlds. Naruto was only his first stop. He's already connected to the world of One Piece."
"We can combine the strength of two worlds to fight the Ōtsutsuki."
"And if that still isn't enough, we can wait for Rowan to connect to even more worlds."
"When that happens, we'll definitely be able to defeat the Ōtsutsuki clan."
Tobirama fixed his gaze on Rowan.
He had already felt that this man was unusual, but now it was obvious he had still underestimated him.
The ability to freely travel between multiple worlds was simply too astonishing.
Hashirama, on the other hand, had already started reading One Piece.
Not long after, the two of them finished the story.
Tobirama clicked his tongue a few times and said, "This world really is interesting. Devil Fruit powers in particular are fascinating. If my brother were revived and paired with the power of the Woods-Woods Fruit, he could undoubtedly go even further."
Hashirama had swept across the ninja world with Wood Release alone.
If he really gained the Woods-Woods Fruit on top of that—letting him absorb sunlight and even natural energy to strengthen himself—
Then maybe he really could reach Six Paths level.
And even if that didn't work, they could still use the resources of two worlds to cultivate a brand-new pair of Rinnegan and implant them into Hashirama.
At that point, he would absolutely be able to fight the Ōtsutsuki.
Hashirama said, "I think the Woods-Woods Fruit should be left for little Tsunade instead."
He already had the power of Wood Release. He didn't particularly care about the Woods-Woods Fruit.
But Tsunade hadn't inherited his power, so perhaps the Woods-Woods Fruit would suit her better.
Tsunade shook her head.
"The fruit that really suits me isn't the Woods-Woods Fruit. It's the Op-Op Fruit."
There was no question how powerful the Op-Op Fruit was. But in Tsunade's view, Trafalgar Law had never truly made full use of it.
He had somehow taken a support-type fruit and played it like a battle fruit.
It was creative, sure, but the fruit's true potential had never been fully developed.
Tsunade felt that if she got that fruit, she could absolutely push it to incredible heights. So many unbelievable surgical procedures would become possible in her hands.
Rowan nodded in full agreement.
The Op-Op Fruit really did suit Tsunade.
In her hands, it would be capable of far more than anything Trafalgar Law had shown—by a mile.
Hashirama thought back on the Op-Op Fruit's abilities, then considered Tsunade's medical skill, and nodded in approval.
"Little Tsunade really did think this through. The Op-Op Fruit truly is a perfect fit for little Tsunade."
