Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Do you want to learn jutsu?

Nico Robin picked up Naruto and started reading. A moment ago, Tsunade had introduced herself as someone from the world of Naruto.

Robin wanted to know what Tsunade's world was like, what kind of person she was, and what kind of abilities she had.

Robin read at a glance, flying through the pages, and finished Naruto very quickly.

Understanding dawned on her at once. No wonder Tsunade had said her world also had powerful enemies—and a whole group of them at that.

The Ōtsutsuki clan was terrifying.

They possessed all kinds of bizarre abilities, and in terms of raw power, they really did surpass Lord Imu.

After all, a race that could move freely through the universe no matter how you looked at it was bound to be more dangerous than an Imu who hid in Mary Geoise and refused to come out.

Chakra was such a strange and incredible power. It could produce all kinds of effects, almost like having several Devil Fruit powers at once.

It was truly unbelievable.

At that thought, Robin couldn't help feeling a little sympathy for Tsunade. Facing enemies like that must put her under enormous pressure.

Seeing the look in Robin's eyes, Tsunade smiled faintly.

Back then, the pressure really had been crushing. But now…

She pointed at Dragon Ball, signaling for Robin to take a look.

Robin understood and picked up Dragon Ball.

After finishing it, Nico Robin fell silent.

There was no helping it. The power levels in Dragon Ball were so absurd that they left her utterly stunned.

She had never imagined that some fighters could become so overwhelmingly powerful that they could destroy planets with a flick of a finger and dominate the universe.

Compared to the monsters in Dragon Ball, the Ōtsutsuki, Lord Imu, and the Five Elders were all just roadside nobodies.

Especially the Dragon Balls.

If they could find an artifact like that and bring it into the One Piece world to make a wish, wouldn't saving the world be effortless?

"Now you get it, right?" Tsunade said.

Robin nodded. "I completely understand. So when are we entering the Dragon Ball world?"

"That depends on Rowan," Tsunade said, gesturing toward him.

Feeling Robin's gaze shift onto him, Rowan explained his world-traveling ability, emphasizing the key point.

"How should I put it… the timing isn't fixed, but from what I can tell so far, it seems to activate about once a month."

"As for what kind of world it connects to, that's uncertain too."

"There's too much randomness involved."

"But don't worry. Your world still has a few years before it's destroyed. I should be able to connect to dozens of worlds in that time."

"And even if I never manage to connect to Dragon Ball, with the resources of dozens of other worlds, you should still be able to defeat Imu, the Five Elders, and the World Government—and save your world."

Hearing that, the confusion in Robin's heart gradually settled.

If they really could access the resources of dozens of worlds, then maybe defeating Imu and saving the world truly was possible.

She no longer felt as frantic as before.

"Then what should we do now?"

Before Rowan could answer, Tsunade spoke first.

"Do you want to learn how to refine chakra?"

She felt Robin was perfectly suited for it. With the Flower-Flower Fruit, Robin could produce countless arms, which would make forming hand seals absurdly convenient.

Who knew how terrifyingly strong Nico Robin would become once she learned ninjutsu?

Robin looked startled by the suggestion. "Can I?"

After reading Naruto, Robin understood very clearly that chakra was originally an outside force. It hadn't existed in the ninja world a thousand years ago.

Only after the Sage of Six Paths bestowed his chakra upon the people of the ninja world did they gain the ability to refine it.

She wasn't from the ninja world, so she shouldn't be able to refine chakra, right?

Tsunade answered calmly, "I can inject some of my cells into your body and give you the ability to refine chakra. But before that, I'll probably need to examine you."

"What kind of examination?"

"To see whether the cells in your body are suited for chakra."

That was what she said, but Tsunade already felt certain that Nico Robin would be able to refine chakra.

After all, the people in the One Piece world were monstrously strong, one after another.

From the ninja world's perspective, these people were less "human" and more monsters wearing human skin. The number of cells in their bodies had to be incredible, so refining chakra shouldn't be a problem.

Robin herself was tempted by the endlessly versatile chakra system. In particular, the Transformation Technique looked like a god-tier skill to her.

If she had possessed an ability like that back then, she wouldn't have been hunted all over the world by the World Government's hounds.

Now that she had the chance to learn chakra, there was no reason to pass it up.

And since Rowan and the others had shown no real malice toward her, she agreed.

However, because Rowan's world lacked the proper equipment, the group had no choice but to return to the ninja world once more and head to Konoha Hospital, where they used the hospital's facilities to give Nico Robin a full examination.

It was also Robin's first time seeing Konoha in person. It looked much like it did in the manga, only more vivid and complete.

"After the examination, can I look around Konoha a bit?"

"Sure. When we're done, I'll take you to eat at Ichiraku Ramen."

Tsunade didn't refuse. She planned to accompany Robin the whole way, so no one would dare start gossiping.

And if someone really did dare say something, she certainly wouldn't be stingy with her fists.

As for her hemophobia, ever since meeting Rowan and learning the truth about the world, it had quietly disappeared without her even noticing.

The current Tsunade felt terrifyingly powerful.

After arriving at the hospital, Tsunade drove everyone else out and personally examined Nico Robin.

Robin wasn't from the ninja world, and she was also a Devil Fruit user. If the examination turned up anything strange and word got out—especially if it reached Hiruzen Sarutobi or Shimura Danzo—it would definitely cause trouble.

To avoid those unnecessary complications, Tsunade had to handle everything herself.

With Shadow Clones, she could perform several major surgeries at once.

She didn't need any assistants at all.

After quite a bit of effort, Robin's test results came back.

Just as Tsunade had expected, people from the One Piece world were extremely well suited for refining chakra. They had even more cells in their bodies than people from the ninja world.

At the very least, the number of cells in Nico Robin's body was several times greater than Tsunade's own.

More importantly, Robin's cells were astonishingly active, and the energy they contained was several times greater than Tsunade's as well.

And Tsunade was a pure-blooded Senju.

Yet even she couldn't compare to Robin. It was unbelievable.

That meant that once Robin learned how to refine chakra, it might not take long at all for the amount of chakra she possessed to effortlessly surpass Tsunade's.

And with the Flower-Flower Fruit on top of that—with its hand-seal speed so overwhelming it bordered on despair—

Catching up to Tsunade would only be a matter of time.

On top of all that, Tsunade discovered that there was a strange power residing within Nico Robin's cells.
