Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: Broly Talent

"Really?!"

North Kai practically vibrated with excitement. This was a promise from a legendary Candidate God of Destruction!

"Then... can I ask you for that favor right now?" North Kai clenched his tiny fists, hopping up and down in a way that was both clumsy and incredibly endearing.

"?"

Gran blinked. What kind of trouble could North Kai be in right now? His main "trouble" shouldn't start until Goku eventually brought a self-destructing Cell to his doorstep. "What do you need? Let's hear it."

"Well... Lord Hakaishin Candidate, could you please help me restore King Kai's Planet to its original size?" North Kai rubbed his hands together nervously.

Ever since he had offended Beerus, his world had been reduced to a tiny speck, and he had been the butt of the other Kais' jokes for centuries. He had been dreaming of this restoration for a very long time.

"..."

Gran's face went flat. He thought it was going to be some grand cosmic crisis, and instead, the guy was just trying to use him as a wishing well. "Do you think I'm the Namekian Dragon or something?" Gran asked, clearly unimpressed.

"Ah? Is that a no?" North Kai's face fell instantly.

"Well... I suppose it's possible. When I head back to the Destroyer's realm, I can ask Whis. He'd probably help me out," Gran said, suppressing a smirk. "But from what I recall, Lord Beerus was the one who smashed this place. Are you sure you want to undo his handiwork?"

The excitement on North Kai's face vanished, replaced by a look of sheer terror. That was Beerus's personal punishment. If the God of Destruction woke up and saw his 'decree' overturned, North Kai wouldn't just lose his planet—he'd lose his existence.

"Also, I'm only helping you once," Gran added. "If you use this promise now, I won't be lifting a finger if you run into actual trouble later."

North Kai sighed deeply. What choice did he have? He had to save the "get out of jail free" card. At least if some real disaster struck, he'd have a direct line to a terrifying deity. "Fine... I'll save the promise for later, Lord Hakaishin Candidate."

"Good. Since we're done here, I'll—"

Gran was cut off by North Kai's sudden gasp. "Lord Gran! That kid you brought with you... he's about to beat Zangya to death!"

At that moment, a pulse of terrifying power surged from the living world, bleeding into the Otherworld. It was a raw, primal energy, like an ancient, prehistoric beast waking from a million-year slumber.

"Crap!"

Gran felt the aura and nearly jumped. He had been so focused on deconstructing the Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb that he'd completely forgotten about his little ward. But sensing the flow of the battle, it was clear Broly wasn't the one in danger. If anything, Zangya was the one about to meet her end.

"I'm heading back. North Kai, we'll meet again!" Gran pressed his fingers to his forehead.

"Wait!" North Kai shouted after him. "Lord Gran, you must eliminate Bojack's gang! They are galactic terrorists! As long as they're breathing, the universe will never know peace—"

Before he could finish, Gran vanished. North Kai sighed. To a Kai, Bojack was the embodiment of evil, but he wasn't sure if a Hakaishin would see them as "unqualified for life" or just a natural part of the universe's chaos.

Suddenly, three voices chimed in his head:

South Kai: "Hey, shorty! You dead yet? Give us a sign if you're still breathing!"

East Kai: "Caught spying on the Candidate? He probably erased him already."

West Kai: "Sigh, punished by Lord Beerus back then, and now punished by his student. Our poor North Kai is truly cursed!"

"I'm right here, you vultures!" North Kai fumed. These three had zero loyalty. Then, a thought struck him, and he began to laugh hysterically.

The sudden shift terrified the other Kais.

"Uh... he's not dead, but he's laughing?"

"Maybe the Candidate broke his brain."

"He sounds like he's finally lost it."

North Kai stopped laughing and smirked. "I was caught spying, yes. But so what? I wasn't punished—I was given a personal promise from the Hakaishin Candidate himself!"

"?"

"He said that if I ever run into trouble, I can use that promise to have him help me! One time! Hahaha! One of you had a grandma giving birth to your dad, another had a dad having a baby, and one of you had to go do laundry—who's laughing now?! It's my turn to laugh at you!"

"DAMN YOU, NORTH KAI!!"

The Edge of the North Galaxy

BOOM!

The dim planet was being torn apart by a cataclysmic battle. The very crust of the world was trembling under the weight of the power being unleashed.

"ROAR!!!"

With a bestial howl, a small child was relentlessly hunting a stunningly beautiful woman.

"Damn it... what kind of little monster is this?!" Zangya coughed up blood, her face a mask of terror. Her right arm hung limply at her side, shattered.

She didn't know why her seal had broken, but she had been ecstatic to be free. She had intended to free her leader, Bojack, but she saw a "clueless" kid standing there. She had fired a single energy blast at him without a second thought. She never expected that one shot to bring the heavens down on her head.

This kid wasn't human. He wouldn't die. No matter how much power she used, he just kept getting back up. And he wasn't just surviving—he was thriving. His power was skyrocketing with every second of the fight. Now, she was the one being hunted.

"Oh no!"

As she tried to flee, a streak of white light closed the gap instantly. It was Broly. Though he was barely over a meter tall, his muscles had thickened, and the veins on his forehead were bulging as he roared. Most terrifying of all: his white aura was beginning to flicker with a distinct, grass-green hue.

If Gran had been looking closely, he would have realized the boy was on the verge of the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation.

"ROAR!!"

Broly lunged and caught Zangya by the ankle.

"Damn you!" Zangya's pupils shrank. He was too fast to dodge.

In the next heartbeat, Broly swung her down with terrifying force.

CRASH!!

Zangya was slammed into the ground, the impact shattering the continent beneath her. Broly didn't stop. He swung her left, then right, then left again—a brutal, rhythmic pulverizing. It was like a professional athlete ragdolling a toy. Zangya's internal organs were being turned to jelly.

Suddenly, Broly pivoted and hurled her into the sky.

"ROAR!!"

He kicked off the ground, leaving a hundred-meter crater behind as he rocketed after her. Appearing above her, the mindless Broly followed only his killing instinct. He locked his hands together into a double-fist hammer.

Silver lightning, drawn from the sheer friction of his power, crackled around his fists.

THOOM!

The strike hit like a supernova. Zangya was sent screaming back toward the surface like a falling star. When she hit, the shockwave was so immense it actually cracked the planet's tectonic plates.

Zangya lay in the center of a bottomless crater, coughing up blood. She was finished. "What... what is this monster? What happened to the universe while we were asleep?"

She regretted everything. If she had known the kid was this terrifying, she never would have provoked him.

"SHINK!"

Gran finally arrived back from North Kai's planet. He hovered at a distance, hidden by his own divine suppression. He didn't want to interrupt the boy's "lesson."

Whoa, Gran thought, sensing Broly's power. He's hit 2 billion and he's still climbing. Back on Vampa, Broly's max was around 200 million. The jump was insane. Gran quickly spotted the cause: that hint of grass-green in the aura.

"You asked for it," Gran muttered, his eyes narrowing with a cold, lethal intent.

At this age, Broly shouldn't have been able to tap into that power yet. It meant Zangya had pushed him so far that his body's "survival mechanism" had triggered. Seeing Broly's shredded combat suit was all the proof Gran needed.

"Hurting my little brother? You can enjoy the consequences," Gran whispered. Bojack and his crew were officially on his 'To-Be-Erased' list. But for now, he let the scene play out. He wanted Broly to finish this himself.

"ROAR!!"

Broly descended like a miniature Titan, his power so dense it felt like it was warping the space around him.

"NO!!"

In the crater, Zangya panicked. She fired a desperate energy blast, but Broly simply flew through it, the explosion shredding against his aura without slowing him down.

Zangya smirked weakly. She didn't expect to win; she just needed a distraction. She smashed through the rock wall of the crater and scrambled toward the altar.

"Move!! Faster!!"

She reached the site where the remaining four tombs stood. Broly halted in the air above her, raising his hands. A massive, grass-green energy sphere, a hundred meters wide, began to form over his head.

Gran watched, impressed. The kid's a natural.
