Forgetting the gore for a moment... This is crucial data:
I seem to have blood and bones after all, even in this strange grey body that doesn't feel fully human anymore.
{Correction: Master is currently using [Mimic] to copy Shion's humanoid form. Bones and blood includes what makes a human, thus, the Mimic is replicating this.}
[What's that supposed to mean? That I seriously am just a blob of flesh without bones, blood, or real organs?]
{Affirmative. Master is one organ that is sentient.}
Gabriel just insulted me again, the words landing flat inside my head and making me pause for a second with a small frown pulling at my lips while my short white hair shifted slightly.
Okay, back to my assailant;
It hadn't given up yet.
It was still stalking me through the shadows of the cave, moving around so fast that one would seriously think it was teleporting or something.
Its presence was flickering in and out of my senses like a ghost that refused to stay still.
I looked back down at my torn body, watching closely as the grey flesh wriggled and began to mend itself back to the way it was before the attack.
The edges of the wounds pulling together slowly at first and then faster as I focused my attention on them, the skin smoothing out until the damage was almost gone.
Ah, I see.
If I think about my body healing, it heals right away without me having to do anything extra.
Which means I can control the healing factor the way I control walking and moving my body.
Weird, but actually pretty useful once I get the hang of it.
Bringing our attention back to the B+ monster...
I saw it clearly now as it shifted its position behind a cluster of rocks, its body low to the ground.
This monster looked like a crocodile that had been eating too much and hitting the gym way too often.
Its body was thick and powerful with heavy muscle visible under the dark scales that covered it from head to tail.
{Notice: that is a Lightning Lizard. Mostly found hiding behind stones and boulders to ambush preys before they blink. It can be found from the 700th floor down to the last floor.}
Sneaky bastards!
No wonder they can be so close to Shion's chambers without getting killed.
They don't fight fair at all, preferring to strike from the shadows when their target least expects it.
It had a dark body covered with scales, and golden jagged lines traced its body vertically from its golden and dark slit eyes all the way down to its very long tail, that flicked behind it with quick, impatient movements.
The major difference between this and a normal crocodile is that this lizard could swallow two full grown men whole without much trouble;
It was big and even had muscles bulging noticeably in its thick limbs.
I mean, it was really ripped. Awesome in a terrifying, dangerous way that made it clear why it survived down here.
Its mouth looked like it couldn't close properly because it was ridden with thorn-like teeth that stuck out at odd angles in every direction, giving it a permanent snarling appearance.
And when it bit me earlier, electricity came surging down from its glowing body straight into me in a powerful burst.
And it felt bad, sending jolts that made my grey skin twitch and my body seize up for a moment even with the pain nullification active.
Right now, it was swiftly surrounding me, circling with quick, low movements that kicked up small clouds of dust from the cave floor.
Maybe trying to throw off my senses before giving me a finishing blow that would end the hunt.
I could tell; the lizard knows I'm dangerous just by the way it kept its distance and watched me with those slit eyes, never committing fully yet.
I mean, I must be dangerous to be walking around the 1666th floor like I own the place without a care in the world, acting as if the dangers down here didn't apply to me.
Fed up with the circling and waiting game, it sped towards me suddenly in a blur of motion and its teeth tore off my left arm in one clean, violent snap.
Then it went away again into the shadows faster than I could react.
Yikes.
It was like a flash of light: one moment I saw the glowing beast charging straight at me.
And the next, it was gone with my left arm dangling from its jaws, black blood dripping from the stump.
I got ready again, planting my feet wider apart on the uneven stone to steady myself.
If it came back, I would punch it harder this time with everything I had.
So I took a ready stance, knees bent slightly and my remaining fist raised in front of me, waiting for it to return while my short white hair shifted slightly with each small adjustment of my head as I scanned the darkness;
CHOP!
Crap...
It took off my second arm again in another blinding rush, the stump spraying a small arc of black blood before the wound started closing almost immediately.
I think maybe it's because I must be amazing... else, I don't think anyone normal would even see the lizard at all with how fast it moved through the cave.
It was like a gunshot in the dark.
You see the person pull the trigger, you see the explosion and light from the gun, and you're dead before you know what hit you.
Except I didn't see any light or hear any warning before the bastard robber shot me!!
If I find a way to return to earth one day, I will drag that robber to the depths of hell and spend months hurting him slowly for what he did to me back then!
