Chapter 504: Overwhelming Strength
Shion collapsed to her knees, her hands flying up to cover her mouth. Tears carved hot trails down her ash-stained cheeks as a scream of pure despair tore from her throat. "Hokage-sama!"
Mōryō's massive, grotesque form thrashed violently within the boiling lava lake. Monstrous waves of liquid fire surged outward, superheating the cavern air. "Become a part of my power!" the demon roared, its wild, grating laughter echoing off the trembling stone walls.
But the laughter died in its throat.
At the very epicenter of those wildly thrashing tentacles, the smoke began to clear. Uchiha Akira had not moved a single inch.
Mōryō's multiple pairs of massive, reptilian pupils shrank to pinpricks.
Akira stood perfectly unharmed. Encasing his body was a spectral, golden ribcage radiating a terrifying, suffocating chakra. The ethereal bones hummed with power, forming an impenetrable fortress around him.
Susanoo: Initial Form.
Yet, this manifestation defied all conventional logic. Empowered by the unique ocular jutsu of Akira's left eye—Divine Authority: Heavenly Might—even this skeletal, rudimentary stage possessed a defensive density capable of shrugging off Mōryō's most devastating strikes without a single fracture.
Akira stood casually within the golden ribs, his arms crossed over his chest. He tilted his head up, his cold gaze locking onto the mountain-sized abomination.
"Is this all the strength you have?" he asked, his voice calm, flat, and dripping with absolute disdain. "Haven't you eaten?"
Shion stared blankly at the golden giant shielding the Hokage. The dead, hollow look in her eyes shattered, replaced by a sudden, desperate spark of hope. He blocked it. He actually blocked Mōryō's attack.
"Unforgivable!" Mōryō shrieked, the sheer fury in its voice causing the lava lake to erupt into geysers of molten rock. "Unforgivable!"
Several of the demon's massive dragon-like heads reared back, their jaws unhinging. Violent, purplish-black chakra converged frantically within their maws, compressing into spheres of dense, destructive energy.
"Die for me!"
Thick, blinding beams of dark energy erupted from the dragon heads, tearing through the air and converging directly onto Akira.
Facing the devastating bombardment, Akira merely let out a dry, low chuckle.
"Boring tricks."
With a mere thought, the golden chakra flared. The skeletal ribcage surged with explosive growth. Spectral bones multiplied and fused, thick networks of chakra meridians entwined around them, and dense layers of ethereal muscle layered over the structure. Finally, heavy, ornate armor locked into place.
In a fraction of a second, the Susanoo evolved into its Third Stage, standing tall and imposing within the cavern.
The purple glow of the Rinnegan in Akira's left eye pulsed.
"Divine Authority: Heavenly Might."
The golden armor of the Susanoo instantly condensed, taking on an indestructible, metallic sheen. The terrifying beams of dark energy slammed directly into the armored giant.
Mōryō expected the arrogant human to be vaporized. Instead, the dark energy washed over the golden armor like water breaking against a cliff face, dispersing harmlessly into the surrounding air.
"This... this is impossible!" Mōryō roared, a distinct tremor of genuine terror bleeding into its voice. Its ultimate attack had done absolutely nothing.
"Finished?" Akira's cold, measured voice cut effortlessly through the roaring explosions and the thick clouds of dust, echoing into every corner of the cavern. "Then it is my turn."
The moment the words left his lips, the armored Susanoo thrust its massive hand forward. Ignoring the searing heat of the lava and the corrosive black mist, the golden fingers clamped down brutally around the thick neck of Mōryō's central, largest dragon head.
Mōryō thrashed wildly, letting out a deafening roar. Countless dark tentacles whipped through the air, lashing frantically against the golden armor in a desperate bid for freedom.
"Be quiet," Akira commanded, his eyes narrowing into slits of icy indifference.
The Susanoo's giant hand clenched tight.
A sickening crunch echoed through the cavern. Mōryō's central head ruptured under the sheer, overwhelming physical force. Flesh, bone, and black blood exploded outward in a gruesome rain, cascading down like a macabre waterfall into the boiling magma below.
A shrill, agonizing scream tore from the demon's remaining heads, the sheer volume of it shaking the underground cavern to its very foundations. Massive boulders tore loose from the ceiling, crashing into the lava.
Akira's brow furrowed slightly. The structural integrity of the subterranean vault was failing. If he continued to escalate his power here, the entire volcano would collapse inward. While he could easily survive being buried under millions of tons of rock, Shion would be crushed instantly., the cramped environment restricted his true capabilities.
"Let us change locations."
The Rinnegan in his right eye rotated slightly, its concentric circles pulsing with divine chakra.
"Six Paths: Heavenly Sovereignty."
An invisible, localized ripple of spatial distortion erupted with Akira at its epicenter. The fabric of reality warped, folding violently in on itself. The suffocating heat, the boiling lava, and the crumbling stone ceiling vanished in an instant.
In their place lay a vast, boundless expanse. The sky stretched out endlessly, devoid of clouds or sun, yet illuminated by an ethereal light. This was Akira's exclusive dimension—the Tianyu Dimension.
"Where... where is this?" Mōryō stammered. The demon's agonizing screams faltered, replaced by deep disorientation. Ignoring the searing pain of its severed neck, its remaining eyes darted around in absolute panic.
One moment, it had been fighting in a volcanic abyss. Now, it was trapped in this strange, desolate realm. Worse still, a primal shudder wracked the demon's soul. The very atmosphere of this dimension felt hostile, pressing down on it with a suffocating, absolute suppression.
High above, Akira floated in the empty air, looking down at the grotesque mass of flesh below. His gaze held the detached, merciless apathy of a god observing a wounded insect.
"Welcome," Akira's voice connected from every direction at once, "to my world."
Here, in the Tianyu Dimension, Akira was absolute law.
"Playing god!" Mōryō snarled, though a cold, paralyzing dread gripped its core. It had to escape. It had to flee immediately. The oppressive aura radiating from the Uchiha was infinitely more terrifying than the Priestess who had sealed it away a millennium ago.
With a desperate roar, Mōryō violently threw its massive body backward, attempting to tear open a spatial rift.
"Wanting to leave?" Akira slowly raised his right hand.
Golden chakra erupted like a dying star. This time, there were no cavern walls to restrict its growth. The armored Susanoo expanded exponentially, its form shifting and evolving in the blink of an eye. Massive, golden wings unfurled, casting long shadows across the barren earth. Tengu armor locked into place over a colossal, towering frame.
The Perfect Susanoo stood between heaven and earth, a god of destruction rendered in solid gold light.
Beneath its shadow, the once-mountainous Mōryō was reduced to the size of a pathetic, squirming rat.
"What... what kind of monster is this?" Mōryō whispered, craning its remaining necks upward. It stared blankly at the sky-blotting giant, completely engulfed by the shadow of its own impending doom.
"It is over," Akira declared from his position within the glowing crystal at the Perfect Susanoo's forehead.
He made a slow, deliberate grasping motion with his right hand. Mirroring his movement, the Perfect Susanoo raised its colossal arm. Within its glowing palm, three massive, comma-shaped constructs of highly compressed chakra instantly materialized, linking together on a circular thread of light.
"Susanoo: Yasaka Magatama."
The golden giant swung its arm with cataclysmic force. The three tomoe, housing enough destructive power to level entire nations, hurled downward, smashing ruthlessly into Mōryō's paralyzed form.
An apocalyptic roar deafened the Tianyu Dimension. Time and space seemed to freeze at the point of impact. Mōryō did not even have the chance to scream. The demon could only watch in mute horror as blinding, absolute destruction consumed its entire field of vision.
The ground completely disintegrated. A terrifying shockwave pulverized the earth, sweeping outward across a radius of dozens of kilometers, flattening everything in its path. A towering mushroom cloud of dust and golden energy breached the heavens.
When the raging winds finally died down and the dust settled, the landscape had been permanently altered. A bottomless, glassed crater dominated the earth.
The arrogant, immortal physical body of Mōryō had been entirely vaporized. All that remained was an incredibly weak, translucent black soul, shivering pathetically at the very bottom of the abyss.
Akira lowered his hand, pointing a single finger toward the crater.
"Six Paths Sealing: Spirit Binding."
"Let me go! I am immortal!" Mōryō's spectral form wailed, its voice shrill and desperate. "I am eternal and indestructible!"
Its cries fell on deaf ears. Ethereal chains covered in dense sealing formulas erupted from the void. They whipped around the demon's soul, pulling taut with a metallic clatter. With a violent, merciless yank, the chains dragged the screaming entity directly into the depths of the earth, sealing it away for eternity.
