Chapter 269: The Hokage's Departure
Tsunade's fist, fueled by the Creation Rebirth and the full release of the Byakugō Seal, collided heavily with the swirling, lightning-infused fireball that Akira had conjured with his Rinnegan.
Fortunately, Uchiha Akira had controlled the ultimate power of his attack. The fireball was ultimately pulverized by Tsunade's monstrous, planet-shattering strength, dissolving into harmless smoke.
Tsunade landed on the training ground, staggering back a few steps before steadying herself.
Her fair knuckles were bright red, and the skin was scorched, wisps of white smoke rising from her fist—a fleeting injury instantly erased by the Byakugō's constant, frantic regeneration.
"That wasn't fair!" Tsunade gasped, though her breathing quickly settled.
"Not only did it track me with absolute precision, but I felt my chakra being pulled out, and the attack felt significantly heavier than it should have!"
[How could I even fight like this?]
"How do you feel?" Akira asked, his voice calm, standing only a few feet away.
"Terrible!" Tsunade glared at Uchiha Akira, but the shock in her eyes was impossible to hide, overriding her anger.
"Your ocular jutsu... it's gotten stronger? That was more than just a powerful Genjutsu!"
"Mm." Uchiha Akira nodded, confirming her fear.
He briefly explained the new, terrifying applications of his Rinnegan, which he called Amenominaka in this context.
[Inorin's Note: The core ability of the Rinnegan's gravitational path is Shinra Tensei/Bansho Ten'in. In this fic, 'Amenominaka' (a canonical space-time jutsu) seems to refer to a new, powerful domain-style Genjutsu or a unique dōjutsu power based on control.]
"First: Absolute Hit. Any attack I lock onto cannot be dodged, regardless of the target's speed or position."
"Second: Hierarchical Suppression. Within the domain I activate, your strength will be suppressed by a measurable percentage, and simultaneously, your Chakra consumption will double."
Tsunade was completely stunned. The blood drained from her already pale face.
Absolute hit?
Cannot be dodged?
Domain suppression?
Doubled Chakra consumption?
Tsunade finally understood the hopelessness of the situation—why she couldn't dodge that fireball no matter what she did, and why her colossal chakra reserves felt suddenly inadequate.
Tsunade stared blankly at Uchiha Akira, muttering to herself, her voice raw.
"Then... then after this... who in the five nations can even hope to stop your attacks?"
With "Absolute Hit," it meant that even if Uchiha Akira merely threw a leaf, as long as he willed it, that leaf could hit the enemy with 100% certainty.
Add to that the unreasonable, crushing ability of "Hierarchical Suppression"—directly suppressing an enemy's strength and doubling their cost.
Battles between those of the same rank would become an absolute, instantaneous slaughter!
"No," Tsunade whispered, the realization dawning. "You don't even need the same rank..."
"With this ability, Uchiha Akira, you could easily challenge and defeat those of higher ranks, exhausting enemies stronger than yourself to death!"
Uchiha Akira chuckled softly, gently wrapping an arm around Tsunade's waist. He pulled her flush against his side.
He leaned down, close to her ear, his warm breath making her earlobe flush a deep red.
"To celebrate my new toy."
"Come to my house for dinner tonight."
Night. Uchiha main residence.
The warm glow of the lanterns provided a pleasant contrast to the cool evening air.
After a sumptuous dinner—prepared, thankfully, by Akira's chef—Naruto and Hinata had already retired to their rooms to rest after a day of training.
In the living room, only Uchiha Akira and Tsunade remained.
The atmosphere, for a moment, was subtle, charged, and ambiguous.
Tsunade held her teacup, her gaze somewhat evasive, darting around the room, not daring to meet Akira's direct, calm eyes.
"It's... getting late."
Tsunade felt her cheeks growing hotter and her heart starting to pound faster. She put down the teacup—the porcelain clattering slightly—and stood up, trying to project a feigned composure.
"I... I should go back. There are documents waiting."
Uchiha Akira said nothing, merely watched Tsunade quietly, a faint, knowing smile playing on his lips.
Tsunade felt completely uncomfortable under his steady, unwavering gaze. She was a Sannin, yet she felt like a Genin caught skipping class. Almost fleeing, she headed quickly towards the door.
"I'll walk you out." Uchiha Akira's voice rang out behind her.
"No... no need!"
Tsunade waved her hand without looking back, quickening her pace. Her figure quickly disappeared into the outer darkness of the compound.
Watching her hurried retreat, Uchiha Akira shook his head helplessly.
"She really is... not honest."
Uchiha Akira picked up the unfinished cup of tea Tsunade had left on the table—still warm—and drank it all in one smooth gulp.
The tea was still warm, and a faint, subtle fragrance seemed to linger in the air.
An unidentifiable surge of heat slowly, possessively, rose within Uchiha Akira.
[Since the main course ran away,] he thought, a familiar, predatory glint entering his eyes.
[I'll have to find some supper to fill this suddenly empty stomach.]
Uchiha Akira activated Amenominaka (天之御中), his space-time ability.
His figure vanished from his private residence, instantly reappearing several miles away at Jōnin Kurenai Yūhi's home.
Seeing Uchiha Akira suddenly materialize in her dimly lit living room, Kurenai Yūhi was momentarily stunned. Then, a joyful, accepting smile appeared on her face.
"Akira? Why are you here?"
Uchiha Akira did not answer with words.
He sealed the windows and doors, instantly setting up a high-level soundproofing barrier around the entire apartment.
Kurenai Yūhi looked at the raw, undisguised desire, burning like fire, in his eyes. Her heart gave a fierce, delighted leap.
She instantly understood everything.
Her cheeks, in an instant, turned a deep, bright crimson, like a ripe apple ready to fall.
"Akira... you..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she was scooped up by a pair of strong arms.
In a dizzying spin, she was already heavily, possessively thrown onto the soft bed.
"Ah!" Kurenai let out a short, surprised gasp.
The next second, a hot, firm, and familiar chest covered hers.
"Akira... wait... don't..."
Kurenai Yūhi's playful, token resistance seemed so pale and powerless.
Her words were quickly silenced by a rough, demanding kiss.
Tear—
The sound of clothing tearing, a small casualty of the escalating passion.
That night, Uchiha Akira's accumulated fury—and the playful frustration of Tsunade's retreat—was completely unleashed upon Kurenai Yūhi.
He was like a tireless war machine, expanding territory and conquering relentlessly, again and again, on this familiar, fertile land.
It wasn't until the first pale light of dawn began to lighten the sky that this long, exhausting war finally ceased...
The next day. Morning.
On the desk in the Hokage Office, beneath the mountain of daily reports, there was a new leave request.
Applicant: Kurenai Yūhi.
Reason for leave: Feeling unwell (acute physical strain).
Approved by: Fifth Hokage, Uchiha Akira.
Uchiha Akira put down his brush and rubbed his temples, a faint, lingering ache in his shoulders.
He recalled the lovely woman this morning when he left—she couldn't even move a finger and could only glare at him with a pair of watery, slightly resentful eyes. A wry, satisfied smile involuntarily appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"Last night... it seems I went a bit too far."
Fortunately, he had set up a barrier beforehand. Otherwise, with the desperate pleas and gasps that had echoed almost all night, Kurenai Yūhi would truly be too embarrassed to face anyone in Konoha ever again.
Uchiha Akira stood up and walked to the large floor-to-ceiling window.
Everything that needed to be handled had already been arranged.
Iwagakure and Kumogakure were being watched by Jiraiya and Kakashi. They wouldn't cause any major trouble in the short term.
At the border facing the Land of Lightning, Uchiha Fugaku's six thousand elite troops kept them firmly in check.
Within Konoha, the construction of the new super city was in full swing, and the Hidden Sand prisoners of war had been perfectly integrated as labor.
Everything was developing precisely in the direction he had envisioned.
It was time to deal with the next, softer target.
Kirigakure (霧隠れの里, Village Hidden by Mist).
Uchiha Akira's eyes narrowed slightly, a cold determination replacing the wry amusement. He commanded the shadows.
"Go call Tsunade."
"Yes!"
A dark shadow flashed and quietly departed.
A moment later.
The office door was pushed open. Tsunade, looking alert and professional, walked in.
"Akira, what do you need me for? Shikaku just sent me an urgent construction report—"
Uchiha Akira turned around and slowly walked towards her, cutting off her report.
"I'm preparing to depart."
"Now?" Tsunade was stunned. She thought it would take at least a few more days to consolidate the borders and finalize the city plan.
"Mm, now." Uchiha Akira nodded.
"Konoha here, I'll leave it to you."
"The placement of the Sunagakure prisoners, the construction of the new city, and the defense against Kumogakure and Iwagakure—all require the authority of the Hokage's representative to oversee."
"I know."
Tsunade took a deep breath, her expression becoming serious, accepting the immense responsibility.
"Don't worry, Akira. I'll take care of things here."
"Everything, I will handle well."
Uchiha Akira's heart stirred. He pulled Tsunade into his arms before she could finish.
"Oh!"
Tsunade let out a gasp, struggling symbolically for a moment.
"You... what are you doing! We're in the office!"
Tsunade's voice was soft, barely a whisper.
Uchiha Akira did not answer. He lowered his head and kissed her directly, a long, deep, possessive kiss—a seal on their unspoken contract.
When he finally released her lips, Uchiha Akira stroked Tsunade's soft golden hair and whispered into her ear.
"Wait for me to come back."
