Chapter 779 - White Hole Boros Returns, Instantly Kills All Heroes, Truly Invincible

Chapter 779: White Hole Boros Returns, Instantly Kills All Heroes, Truly Invincible

The heart of Z City had been reduced to a desolate wasteland. Plumes of thick, choking dust drifted over a newly formed crater that stretched for miles, swallowing what used to be a bustling metropolis.

At the very epicenter of this devastation, a solitary figure hovered in the air. It was a humanoid lifeform, completely stark white, with a single, piercing eye. He floated in dead silence, his arms casually crossed over his chest.

"Is this the enemy? It looks... like some kind of alien."

The voice broke the heavy silence. Surrounding this bizarre, one-eyed entity was the pinnacle of humanity's fighting force. The S-Class heroes of the Hero Association had formed a tight perimeter, locking the invader in from every conceivable angle.

Yet, the alien remained completely still. Ever since he had descended into Z City from the blinding white hole that tore through the fabric of space, he hadn't twitched a single muscle. Boros slowly shifted his singular, glowing eye, sweeping his gaze over the gathered combatants.

A deep, crushing sense of disappointment washed over him.

None of these fragile creatures possessed the aura he was looking for. None of them matched the prophecy of the one warrior who could finally give him a worthy battle. In fact, Boros began to suspect that this entire journey might end in hollow dissatisfaction.

Even in his original state, he had reigned supreme across the universe—so overwhelmingly powerful and invincible that his existence had become an agonizing void of boredom. But now? Now he had ascended to a realm far beyond his previous limits.

It was all because of that mysterious white light. That anomalous cosmic phenomenon had utterly obliterated his massive warship and dissolved his elite subordinates into nothingness, yet it had simultaneously infused his body with an unfathomable energy. He was now so terrifyingly strong that even he couldn't gauge the depths of his own power.

A lingering question gnawed at his mind. Could the prophesied warrior—the one destined to match his former self in a satisfying clash of fists—even hope to scratch him in this newly evolved state?

"Incineration Cannon!"

A mechanical roar shattered the tense atmosphere. A blond-haired cyborg launched the first strike. Vents opened on his metallic palms, and a blinding torrent of superheated plasma erupted forward, surging directly toward Boros's unmoving figure.

"Tch. He beat me to the punch." S-Class Rank 16, Tanktop Master, clicked his tongue, his thick brows furrowing in sheer annoyance. He had fully intended to crush this weird alien himself, aiming to secure the glory and boost his ranking within the Association. Instead, the S-Class Rank 14 hero, the Demon Cyborg Genos, had stolen the initiative.

"With firepower of that magnitude, our extraterrestrial guest won't be having an easy time." S-Class Rank 11, Superalloy Darkshine, stood with his arms crossed. His impossibly massive, heavily oiled muscles gleamed under the sunlight, his expression radiating absolute confidence.

"No..." S-Class Rank 3, Silverfang Bang, narrowed his aged eyes, his posture dropping into a loose but perfectly balanced stance. "This being... is incredibly dangerous."

"Yeah. We might be looking at the strongest enemy in recorded history," added S-Class Rank 4, Atomic Samurai. His hand rested lightly on the hilt of his katana, his usually cocky demeanor replaced by extreme solemnity.

Both veteran martial artists could feel it. Their honed instincts screamed at them, their muscles and nerves twitching with a primal warning. The entity floating before them was a walking calamity.

Floating slightly above the rubble, Tatsumaki scoffed, her emerald eyes flashing with open disdain. "Hmph. What's so dangerous about this freak? I can flatten him into a pancake without breaking a sweat."

However, reality fractured in the very next second.

"What?!" Several heroes gasped in unison.

The raging flames of the Incineration Cannon parted. Without any warning, without a single visible shift in the air, Genos's metallic body suddenly warped. His high-tech armor crumpled inward like cheap scrap metal caught in an industrial press. Then, he was launched backward as a blinding streak of light.

The cyborg's body slammed violently into a distant skyscraper. The sheer kinetic force of the impact caused the entire structure to groan before it completely collapsed in on itself, burying Genos beneath thousands of tons of concrete and steel. His energy signature flickered and died out. He was completely incapacitated.

An S-Class hero... defeated in the blink of an eye?

'What just happened?' A single drop of cold sweat traced its way down the pale cheek of a beautiful, long-haired man. He hadn't even registered Boros's counterattack.

This was S-Class Rank 13, Flashy Flash. A peerless speed-style swordsman whose blade struck faster than lightning. True to his namesake, he was accustomed to dismembering his opponents long before their brains could process the pain. Yet, even with his superhuman dynamic vision and unmatched reaction time, he hadn't caught a single frame of Boros's movement.

Boros remained suspended in the air, his arms still casually crossed. It looked as though he hadn't shifted a single millimeter from his original spot. A flicker of deep impatience finally broke through the calm of his singular eye.

For the first time since his arrival, the alien warlord spoke, his voice echoing with a strange, oppressive gravity. "Who is the strongest person in this world?"

"Strongest?" The heroes froze, the weight of the question hanging heavily in the dusty air.

Almost instinctively, multiple pairs of eyes shifted toward a tall, grim-faced man standing near the back of the formation. King.

Noticing the collective shift in attention, Boros slowly turned his gaze toward the scarred man.

A flicker of genuine confusion passed through Boros's glowing eye. He scanned the blonde man top to bottom, trying to detect the latent energy within him. Yet, he found absolutely nothing. In the alien's hyper-evolved perception, this human was pathetically weak, his stance riddled with a thousand fatal flaws.

There was only one anomaly.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

A heavy, rhythmic drumming echoed across the silent ruins. It was a powerful, intimidating sound, radiating directly from King's chest.

"The King Engine has activated!" Child Emperor, the boy genius, grinned, his eyes lighting up with hope. The legendary heartbeat of the strongest man on Earth had begun to roar!

However, the actual owner of the dreaded King Engine was currently fighting a losing battle against his own bladder.

'You guys go fight him! Stop looking at me!' King screamed internally, his stoic, scarred face masking the absolute terror threatening to tear his soul apart.

"The strongest man shouldn't have to reveal his trump card so early. Let this old man warm up the guest." Bang let out a low chuckle, stepping forward. He shifted his weight, his hands flowing through the air as he assumed the flawless starting stance of the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist.

"Count me in." Atomic Samurai stepped up beside the old martial artist, the sharp ring of steel echoing as he drew his katana. Both S-Class veterans radiated a dense, suffocating fighting spirit.

But in the very next fraction of a second, history repeated itself.

Just like Genos, Bang and Atomic Samurai were launched backward with explosive force. Neither of the seasoned masters even had the chance to blink, let alone react. They tore through the air like twin meteors, violently smashing through the concrete husks of several buildings before disappearing into the rubble.

A cold wave of absolute terror washed over the remaining heroes.

Once again, no one saw the attack. No one saw Boros move. And these were two of the most respected, combat-hardened powerhouses in the entire Hero Association.

The veil of arrogance that usually clouded the S-Class heroes shattered completely. They finally understood the sheer, apocalyptic scale of the threat standing before them.

S-Class Rank 15, Metal Bat, tightened his grip on his signature weapon. His pompadour bristled in the wind as he let out a furious, blood-curdling roar. "Screw this! Let's rush him together!"

Casting aside all pride and hesitation, the remaining heroes surged forward in a coordinated, desperate assault.

However, effort meant nothing in the face of absolute disparity.

One by one, agonized screams tore through the air. Each shout was followed by a human body becoming a high-speed projectile, crashing violently into the surrounding residential high-rises.

In the span of a single heartbeat, the battlefield was cleared.

The dust settled, leaving only three figures standing in the vast expanse of the ruins: Boros, Tatsumaki, and King.

A heavy, suffocating gloom settled over Tatsumaki's mind. Her emerald eyes widened slightly as she processed the carnage. This enemy was truly an anomaly. Even with her overwhelming psychic power, she knew she couldn't instantly incapacitate half the S-Class roster in the literal blink of an eye without them even registering the attack.

Yet, Boros didn't so much as spare her a passing glance. His single, glowing eye remained entirely fixated on King.

To Tatsumaki, this blatant dismissal was the ultimate insult. Her immense pride flared, twisting her shock into blinding fury. Being ignored and treated as a non-threat deeply provoked her volatile temper.

"You arrogant bastard! Don't you dare look past me!"

Tatsumaki ascended higher into the air, her dark dress whipping violently around her small frame. She thrust both hands upward, her fingers curling like claws. Her psychokinesis erupted, a terrifying aura of green energy flaring around her body.

The very foundations of the earth groaned and cracked. Massive chunks of bedrock, soil, and shattered asphalt tore themselves from the ground, swirling upward in a gravity-defying maelstrom. The debris rapidly fused together, forming a colossal, earthen hand that dwarfed the surrounding mountains. It cast a massive, suffocating shadow over Z City, completely blocking out the sun.

"I told you, I'm going to flatten you into dust!" Tatsumaki shrieked, her veins bulging as she violently slammed her empty palms together.

High above, the sky-obscuring hand mirrored her movement, crashing downward with the casual brutality of a human swatting a fly. The sheer mass and velocity of the attack turned it into an apocalyptic event.

The impact struck with the force of a world-ending earthquake. The entirety of Z City violently convulsed, shockwaves ripping through the crust and sending massive fissures racing across the landscape. Fortunately, the city's population had long since evacuated, allowing the Esper to unleash her full, unrestrained fury. With a strike of this magnitude, whatever remained of Z City's infrastructure was guaranteed to be wiped off the map.

"Phew..." Tatsumaki let out two quick breaths, her chest heaving slightly before a smug smirk crossed her face. "Hmph. That'll teach you to ignore me."

Seeing the two mountain-sized masses of compressed earth crushing the epicenter of the crater, she felt a wave of grim satisfaction. In her mind, there was no way any biological entity could survive being sandwiched between millions of tons of hyper-compressed rock. The enemy was dealt with.

Then, her ears twitched. A sharp, grinding noise echoed from the rubble.

Tatsumaki's eyes widened as massive, jagged cracks began spider-webbing across the surface of her earthen mountain. Before she could even process the need to reinforce her psychic hold, the colossal structure—which stretched almost to the clouds—violently detonated right before her eyes.

It didn't just shatter into boulders. The sheer kinetic force radiating from within pulverized the rock entirely, reducing the millions of tons of earth into nothing more than fine ash and blinding dust.

Amidst the sky-high curtain of debris, a stark white figure emerged.

Boros slowly raised his hand and clenched his fist. In an instant, a miniature black hole tore open in the center of his palm. The intense gravitational pull violently sucked in the surrounding atmosphere, instantly devouring every single particle of dust and ash that dared to obscure his vision.

The alien warlord stood there, completely unblemished. There wasn't a single scratch on his pristine white body. Boros merely cast a dull, dismissive glance at the slightly fatigued Tatsumaki before turning away completely. His heavy footsteps echoed as he walked, step by deliberate step, toward King.

In his eyes, the green-haired esper had already exhausted her worth and lost her fighting capability. His target had never changed. He was here solely for the strongest being in this world.

Meanwhile, across the dimensional void, a notification flared to life inside the Doomsday Chat Group.

[Ding! Detected that Chat Group member Tatsumaki has come into contact with an Abnormal Doomsday factor. Doomsday Companion activated!]
