Chapter 11 - The First Glimpse of True Power

The corridor stretched before faiser in deep silence, a silence that did not come from emptiness, but from a cohesive system where every corner was calculated, every detail placed with precision, until it felt as if this place did not welcome strangers… but tested them from the very first step.

His footsteps were steady, carrying neither haste nor hesitation, as if he were not walking through a new place, but through a space he had already begun to understand before fully exploring it. He paused briefly at a junction, glanced around calmly, then said to himself in a long tone, as if analyzing more than thinking:

"In places like this, paths are not merely directions… they are unspoken tests. Every corridor may lead you to knowledge—or away from it, and the difference between the two… is not luck, but the ability to read what is left unsaid."

Before he could move—

A servant appeared, bowed respectfully, and said in a calm voice:

"Lord faiser, I was ordered to escort you to the library, if you still wish to go."

Faiser raised his gaze to him, a faint smile forming, then replied with clear curiosity:

"Of course… I have been waiting for this, because I believe that any sect, no matter how powerful it appears on the outside, is not measured by what is shown in training grounds, but by what it hides in places like this… where knowledge, history, mistakes… and everything unspoken are stored."

The servant hesitated for a moment…

Then said:

"The library… is indeed not an ordinary place, but it is open to those with permission, and Lord shin has granted you that himself."

Faiser nodded slowly.

"That… was expected."

Then he moved.

"Lead the way."

They walked.

The corridors changed, becoming slightly narrower.

Quieter.

Even the sounds nearly vanished.

"The closer we get…"

Faiser thought.

"The fewer the people… which means the value… increases."

They continued together, and with each step forward, the place grew quieter, until they finally reached a massive door, engraved with strange symbols, carrying an ancient aura that suggested it was not built recently… but over a long span of time.

The servant said:

"This is the library. You may enter and leave as you wish, but some sections… may not be accessible to you."

Faiser nodded and said calmly:

"Knowledge given all at once… holds no value. But knowledge gained gradually… is what creates the difference."

The servant left.

Faiser remained alone.

He extended his hand… and opened the door.

The moment he stepped inside, everything changed.

The scent of old books, mixed with the weight of time, filled the air, as if every shelf carried a fragment of the past—not just information… but experiences, conflicts, decisions… and their consequences.

The library was far larger than expected, with endless shelves, multiple levels, stairs, and dim lights that made it feel detached from the outside world.

Faiser smiled slightly and said to himself:

"Here… power is not created, it is understood."

He began to move slowly, pulled out the first book, opened it—and by chance, it spoke about the power system of this strange world.

Faiser began reading…

"The Seed… the first stage, where energy begins to form within the body, but remains unstable and cannot be relied upon…"

He partially closed it and said:

"This book speaks of what I've been hearing since I arrived in this world. These terms will be very important. It's good to start with something like this… it might be a key to power for me in this world."

"Hmm…"

"To understand this world's power system will be useful… so I can move within it freely… or control it."

"So—"

"The beginning here is not power… but potential."

He continued reading…

"The Root… is the extension, where energy begins to spread within the being, becoming more connected to the body…"

"Extension… then stabilization… then construction."

Then…

"The Vessel… is the limit, what determines how much energy you can contain. Without it… power becomes a burden."

He paused, then said calmly:

"So these are the power levels… and I see that each level is divided into four ranks. A level within a level… that increases the difficulty of progress, while making understanding easier at the same time…"

"Hmph… I knew from the beginning that this world does not grant power freely… it demands a price for every step."

But this time, faiser did not stop at the power system.

He reached for another shelf.

Different books.

Titles with a historical tone.

He opened one… and suddenly smiled widely.

"Ah… here… this is what I wanted, hahaha… it's… politics!!!"

"Let's see…"

"The current empire… was established after the Dropp of three major dynasties, following long wars between sects. The conflict was not only over land… but over resources, combat refinement techniques, and cultivation methods…"

He raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Refinement here likely refers to how power is acquired… hmm… so sects combine power cultivation and politics together… hahaha, this suits me."

He turned the page.

"Sects within the empire are divided into three main tiers: major sects, middle sects, and minor sects, classified based on their strength, resources, and influence within the system…"

He smiled lightly.

"A hierarchy… but on the level of organizations."

Another page…

"The Red Bear Sect and the Heavenly Phoenix Sect… were originally one sect, before splitting due to an internal conflict that was never fully revealed…"

He paused.

Then thought:

"So their conflict… is not new. But what interests me is the real reason… could it be… some kind of legacy?"

He picked another book.

"The Horizon Mountains… a high-risk training area where sects send their strongest disciples to refine their abilities…"

"So training here… is not a luxury, hahaha… this is dangerously exciting."

He sat down.

And began reading more deeply.

Connecting everything.

The power system…

The sect system…

The history of wars…

Politics…

"This world…"

He said in a low voice.

"Is not random."

Then added, in a longer tone:

"It is an interconnected network, where power defines status, status defines decisions, and decisions reshape power again… an endless cycle… unless someone breaks it… someone who does not play by its rules."

He smiled.

"This is getting more interesting."

As time passed…

Hours went by without faiser noticing. As he moved from one book to another, from one idea to the next, night quietly fell, and the place sank into deeper shadows, while he remained seated, immersed in his initial understanding of this world, unaware of time passing around him.

His reading was not superficial—it was analytical. He began assembling the pieces: the power system based on progression and endurance, the sect system built on conflict and balance, and the history of wars that revealed this world had never truly been stable, but built upon repeated conflicts, each generation adding another layer.

Those books… did not grant him power.

But they gave him… vision.

A preliminary vision… but enough to begin.

The scene returned to him.

He closed one of the books slowly, then raised his head, his eyes holding new clarity.

"Now… I'm beginning to understand a little… but it's not enough… I want to go deeper… and deeper…"

Faiser let out a quiet laugh.

"Hahaha… to dive deeper, find the flaws… and destroy them… just like I did in my previous world. I love problems, hahaha."

He exhaled…

Took a slow breath, then said in a deep tone:

"Power here is not just the ability to fight, but a means of existence within this system. Sects are not just groups, but tools to manage that existence. And wars… are the natural result when one existence conflicts with another."

He paused.

Then smiled.

"This means…"

"That one who understands the system… does not always need to fight."

Then added, with clear narcissism:

"He can make others fight… instead of him."

He stood up slowly.

Looked into the depth of the library.

"And this… is only the beginning."

He took a step.

Then said calmly:

"This world… is complex."

He paused.

Then smiled more deeply:

"But complexity… does not scare me."

"It…"

"Excites me."

Somewhere within the library…

Far from him…

In one of the restricted sections…

There was a book that seemed unusual, placed alone on a distant shelf…

It trembled…

For the first time in ages.

And here…

This was not just a visit.

Nor the beginning of learning.

But—

The beginning of something…

That had started to respond to him.
