Chapter 19 - Garden

She walked straight toward where Su Chen stood, steps light and purposeful, like she knew exactly who he was and why he was out here alone. His stomach twisted hard. Fear slammed into him like a cold wave, making his palms slick around the wooden practice sword.

'Who is she? How the hell did she slip past the outer arrays?' He backed up one shaky step, his heart hammering so loud he could hear it in his ears, but there was no time to run or hide.

Before he could even form a full thought, the girl in the ninja mask lunged. She was on him in a blink, fast and vicious, her curved dagger slicing straight for his throat. Su Chen twisted desperately, but the blade still caught his shoulder deep.

Hot pain exploded across his skin as blood soaked into his robe right away. He gasped and swung his wooden sword up to block, but she was stronger than she had any right to be.

Her next kick drove into his ribs like a hammer, lifting him off the ground and slamming him backward into the bushes. Branches tore at his face and arms. His side burned, and he tasted blood in his mouth already.

'She's going to kill me. Right here.' The thought hit him raw while he scrambled to his feet, legs shaking. She came at him again without a sound, the dagger stabbing down fast.

He managed to block with the wooden sword, but the impact rattled his bones. Wood splintered under the force. She didn't even grunt. Another slash opened his thigh wide, blood pouring hot down his leg and making his knee buckle.

Su Chen swung wild, landing a glancing hit on her arm, but she shrugged it off like it was nothing and grabbed his wrist. She twisted hard, then drove her knee into his gut.

All the air rushed out of him. He dropped to one knee, vision spotting black at the edges, exhaustion and panic mixing together in a sick haze.

She raised the dagger for the finishing blow, eyes cold behind the mask. In that freezing second, Su Chen remembered the Galeblade Sword Art.

'No choice now. If I don't use it, I'm dead!' His foot planted firm on the ground, drawing every scrap of his silver Qi up through his meridians in a rush. The technique unfolded in his mind, clear and steady.

Galeblade wasn't about brute force or flashy explosions. It worked by rooting your stance deep, then letting Qi flow like wind building speed through narrow channels.

You channeled it smoothly from your dantian, guiding it along your arm and into the blade so each swing gained momentum and sharpness, turning simple cuts into chained arcs that sliced through resistance like a storm wind shearing branches.

No waste, just pure, flowing precision that got deadlier the longer you kept the rhythm.

He shifted his weight, wooden sword rising in the first form. Silver Qi surged cold and liquid around the blade. He swung hard. The air whistled sharp. The strike caught her mid-lunge, carving across her chest.

Fabric ripped open, and blood sprayed hot across the grass. She staggered back, eyes wide behind the mask, but she didn't drop. Instead, she roared and charged again, dagger flashing wildly.

Su Chen kept his foot rooted, flowing straight into the second form. The Qi danced along the sword now, turning every motion into a chain of cutting gusts. He cut low and fast, opening her thigh deep.

Blood poured from her leg. She slashed back, catching his arm bad enough that pain flared white-hot, but he pushed through the burn and pivoted into the third form. The wooden blade hummed as silver Qi sharpened its edge far beyond normal wood.

He carved into her shoulder, blood flying everywhere. She was covered in it now, dark stains soaking her tight black clothes, her chest heaving while she bled heavily from multiple wounds.

She still tried one last desperate stab, lunging with everything she had left. Su Chen met it head-on. He rooted deeper, pouring every bit of fear and will into one final arcing swing. The Galeblade flowed perfectly.

The blade whipped around like a gale, cutting clean through everything in its path. It took her clean across the neck. Her head flew off in a wide spray of hot blood, her body collapsing limp onto the grass with a wet, heavy thud. The garden fell dead quiet again.

Su Chen stood there panting hard, covered in blood, his own and hers. His legs trembled, and a wave of nausea hit him as the adrenaline started to fade.

'I... I actually killed her! Shock settled deep in his chest, mixed with a strange, shaky relief. He wasn't proud in some cold way. He just felt exhausted and glad to still be breathing.

No one had woken up inside the house. The estate stayed completely silent, like the night itself had swallowed every sound of the fight. That surprised him more than anything else.

He dropped to his knees beside the body, hands still shaking a little. He searched her quickly, patting down the bloody clothes. Her body was tight and curved underneath, firm breasts pressing against the torn fabric even now, hips full and strong.

A rush of heat stirred low in his gut despite everything, his cock twitching half-hard from the adrenaline and the sight of her.

'Not the time, you idiot. Focus.' He pushed the horny feeling down hard and kept looking. Tucked into her belt was a folded note sealed with the mark of the Crimson Lotus Sect, one of the rival powers that had been clashing with the Su Clan for years over territory and old grudges.

He unfolded it fast, eyes scanning the neat script. They were planning a full ambush on the estate while the main clan was away at the summit. Weak points listed, timing for tonight or tomorrow, and everything is laid out clearly.

'This is bad. Really bad. They know the sect leader and elders are gone!'

Su Chen dragged the body and head deep into the thick bushes, covering them with leaves and loose dirt as best he could. His wounds ached with every move, but he couldn't leave her out in the open.

He wiped his bloody hands on his robe and hurried back inside, limping quiet through the side door. The house felt too still, too normal after what just happened.

In his room, Meiling was still fast asleep on the bed. Her tight cultivating outfit had slipped completely in her sleep, one strap fallen low so her big tit spilled out soft and heavy, nipple dark and relaxed in the cool air.

Her legs had parted just enough that her pussy was fully exposed, puffy lips glistening wet from earlier teasing, a shiny trail of her juices catching the faint moonlight along her inner thigh.

She looked so peaceful like that, dark hair messy across the pillow, red eyes closed, chest rising slow and even with each breath. Su Chen felt another unwanted surge looking at her, but he shoved it aside and rushed to the bed.

He shook her shoulder gently at first, then firmer when she didn't stir right away. "Meiling. Meiling, wake up. Right now!"

She stirred, red eyes fluttering open. Confusion crossed her face first, then sharp worry flooded in when she saw all the blood on him.

"Brother? What happened? You're hurt! Tell me what's going on."

Su Chen kept his voice low but urgent, trying to stay calm even though his heart was still racing.

"There's most likely going to be an ambush from a nearby sect, the Crimson Lotus. I found proof in the garden. We need to do something before they hit us while the clan is gone!"
