Chapter 34 - DONE...

That night felt… heavy.

Not confusing anymore.

Not chaotic.

Just…

👉 full of consequences

You sat on the edge of the bed.

Jungkook was quiet.

Not pushing.

Not asking.

Just… there.

"…I need to talk to him," you said finally.

He looked at you.

"…Jimin?"

You nodded.

"…I can't leave things like that."

A pause.

Then—

"…Go," he said softly.

No hesitation.

No insecurity.

Just trust.

You stood up.

Took a deep breath.

And walked out.

The corridor was quiet.

Cold.

Your footsteps echoing softly.

You found him outside.

Near the railing.

Looking at the mountains.

Alone.

"Jimin…"

He didn't turn immediately.

But you knew he heard you.

After a second—

he turned.

And the moment he saw your face—

his expression softened.

Just a little.

"…You came," he said.

Your eyes filled instantly.

"…I had to."

Silence.

But this time—

it wasn't uncomfortable.

Just… emotional.

You stepped closer.

"…I'm sorry."

Your voice broke.

"I'm so sorry."

He looked at you.

Not stopping you.

"I hurt you," you continued.

"I confused you."

Tears falling now.

"I wasted your time… your feelings…"

Your voice cracked completely.

"…and I hate that I did that to you."

Silence.

Jimin's eyes softened.

But he didn't interrupt.

"…I couldn't understand myself," you said.

"I thought I moved on… I really did…"

A pause.

"But when he came back… everything I buried just… came back too."

Your breathing uneven now.

"I didn't choose between you both properly…"

"…and that's unfair to you."

Tears kept falling.

"I'm really… really sorry."

For a moment—

nothing.

Just silence.

Then—

Jimin stepped forward.

And pulled you into a hug.

Tight.

Warm.

Familiar.

That broke you even more.

You cried against him.

Like everything you held in—

finally had a place.

"I know," he whispered softly.

"I know you didn't mean to."

You held onto him tighter.

"I didn't want to lose you…"

He exhaled slowly.

"…You didn't."

You pulled back slightly.

Looked at him—

through tears.

"…Then what are we?"

He looked at you.

Calm.

Soft.

But clear.

"…Not what we were becoming."

Your heart dropped slightly.

But you nodded.

Because you understood.

"…But not nothing either," he added.

Silence.

Then—

he lifted his hands.

Held your face gently.

Carefully.

Like you were something fragile.

"…We were real," he said softly.

"And that doesn't just disappear."

Your lips trembled.

"…I don't want to lose you completely."

He smiled slightly.

"…You won't."

A pause.

Then—

"…Let's not force something that didn't fully happen."

Your heart ached.

But it made sense.

"…But let's not lose what we can have," he added.

Your eyes softened.

"…Friends?"

He shook his head slightly.

"…Best friends."

That made you laugh through your tears.

"…Always?"

He smiled.

"…Always."

Without thinking—

you leaned forward.

And kissed his cheek.

Soft.

Grateful.

He closed his eyes for a second.

Then smiled.

"…Take care of yourself," he said.

You nodded.

"…You too."

And just like that—

👉 something ended👉 but something meaningful stayed

You walked back slowly.

Heart still heavy—

but peaceful.

Inside the room—

Jungkook looked up immediately.

"…You okay?"

You nodded.

"…Yeah."

You sat beside him.

This time—

closer.

A pause.

Then—

"…I told him everything," you said.

Jungkook didn't interrupt.

Just listened.

"I told him I hurt him."

"I told him I couldn't understand myself."

"I told him… I chose you."

Silence.

"…And?" he asked softly.

You smiled faintly.

"…We're best friends now."

Jungkook nodded slowly.

"…He's a good guy."

You looked at him.

"…He is."

A pause.

Then—

Jungkook leaned back slightly.

"…Can I ask you something?"

You nodded.

"…What did you feel… when I was gone?"

That question—

deep.

Real.

You took a deep breath.

Then—

"…At first?"

You looked down.

"…I was angry."

He listened.

"You left without giving me a choice."

"You decided for both of us."

Your voice softened.

"…And I hated that."

A pause.

"…Then?"

"…Then I missed you."

Silence.

"In small things."

"In stupid moments."

You smiled faintly.

"…When something funny happened, I wanted to tell you."

"When something bad happened… I needed you."

Your eyes softened.

"…But you weren't there."

Jungkook looked down.

Guilt clear in his eyes.

"…I thought you forgot me," he said quietly.

You shook your head.

"…I tried to."

A pause.

"…But I didn't."

Silence.

Deep.

Real.

"And then… I started moving on," you continued.

"…Not because I stopped caring."

"…But because I had to."

You looked at him.

"…And that's where everything got messy."

Jungkook nodded slowly.

"…I understand."

He looked at you.

"…I'm sorry."

You smiled faintly.

"…I know."

A pause.

Then—

he reached for your hand.

Held it.

Gently.

"…This time," he said softly.

"…I won't leave."

Your heart—

felt something.

Not excitement.

Not confusion.

Just…

👉 calm

You leaned slightly against him.

Not rushed.

Just… natural.

And this time—

👉 no confusion👉 no running👉 no unfinished feelings

Just—

👉 something real, finally beginning again
