Eventually, both CeCe and Emily agreed that Soraya was probably connected to whatever memories they had lost. Whether she was doing it to protect them or to protect somebody else was another matter entirely.
Emily stretched lazily and groaned. "Honestly, I don't even know anymore. Maybe she's helping Lord Zenobius."
CeCe frowned. "Helping him hide things?"
Emily shrugged. "Maybe. Or maybe she's helping us. The problem is that I can't tell the difference anymore."
That somehow made the situation worse.
The two girls sat there quietly for a while before deciding they would leave the mystery alone for now. They were already dealing with witches, forgotten races, dead mothers, missing memories, systems, spirit foxes, and an unborn child.
Adding another headache wasn't necessary.
Unfortunately...
Some people were already creating new headaches.
