The room remained unusually quiet after the chaos outside finally settled down. Even the guards stationed around the cave looked exhausted after everything that happened. Athena's death, Zenobius nearly losing control, Emily awakening strange powers, the vampire issue growing worse by the day… everything had started becoming too overwhelming too quickly.
CeCe sat cross-legged on the bed while staring at Emily suspiciously.
Emily, on the other hand, looked strangely excited. That alone already looked suspicious enough.
"You are smiling again," CeCe said slowly. "That means trouble is coming."
Emily rolled her eyes dramatically while pacing around the room barefoot. Her white hair swayed behind her beautifully, making her look almost unreal.
Ever since the seer power awakened, her appearance kept changing little by little. Her skin looked smoother, her aura became calmer, and the childish fox-girl feeling around her had reduced greatly.
