Before Zephyr could even understand what was going on and adapt to his new environment, the horrible and completely emotionless game already started bombarding him with too much information.
Thankfully, Zephyr was not the first person to be thrown in this kind of sudden tense situation.
Obelisk Aperion was a horror game that had descended on their world about a decade ago in the year 2012, and there were already thousands of victims that had died because of it.
As the game was simply too difficult and too cruel, almost all 'players' died in just a single day, and there hasn't even been a single person until now who has managed to survive more than a week inside this horror game's world!
And as this game starts streaming right after 24 hours of the death of the previous player, there have already been many deaths since then, and with each passing year, the deaths have become more and more cruel and horrible than the last one!
Many scientists, organizations, and governments are working to understand this strange horror game that forces the entire world to live in fear every single day.
But until now they haven't managed to reach any solid conclusions; most of them believe that this is likely the doing of aliens or some other higher life form that humanity simply can't resist or contend with.
Humanity seems to have just become a mere entertainment source for this higher being, and that being seems to have taken quite a liking to toying with innocent humans' lives.
'Sigh… I never expected that a day like this would come to me too… I just recently graduated college… my life's already cooked before it even began…'
'My life's gonna end before G*A 6 comes out, how sad… at least I managed to destroy my history unlike some of the previous unlucky fellows...'
Shaking his head in helplessness, Zephyr looked around him and found himself standing in a place so bizarre that whatever little hopes he still had in his mind for survival were destroyed mercilessly!
"Just kill me already…"
Looking around, Zephyr noticed that he was standing on a big sand dune!
And unlike normal sand, the sand here was greyish-black in color, and the air smelled like something was burning nearby, and there was thick smoke and ash everywhere in the air.
*Cough!* *Cough!*
"What is this place…"
The thick smoke and ash made it difficult to even breathe properly, and visibility, which was already quite low because it was nighttime, became even lower due to smoke.
Just when Zephyr was getting confused, the same cold and emotionless machine-like voice of the game system rang out in his mind.

Hearing those words, Zephyr felt the urge to curse at the game system in a loud voice, but he dared not make such a rookie mistake.
There was no knowing what could be lurking around in this darkness, and shouting in a loud voice can be fatal!
Although this was the first time Zephyr had entered this horror game in person, he had seen plenty of the previous players get spawn-camped simply because they shouted loudly when there were monsters nearby.
'Obelisk Aperion' simply doesn't care about whether you are weak or strong; it doesn't give you any tutorial, and it doesn't give you any special treatment.

It was as if time itself had stopped, and even the fine particles of ash floating in the air froze on the spot.
Zephyr couldn't even move his eyelids, and he felt as if his body were completely frozen along with the space-time itself!
All he could do was just passively listen to those strange notifications continuously assault his brain!
