Chapter 53 - Demon Lilith

Zachary Chase smiled, watching the lively scene in the underground pipeline, as three female personal guards vigilantly protected Zachary in the center.

"Who are you?" The man stepping on Lilith stared at Zachary, his hand behind his back gesturing a few times. His accomplices, who were originally still grabbing Demon Tribe members, began to gather around.

"Who am I?" Zachary rubbed his chin, looking thoughtful, then smiled and replied, "Who I am is none of your business."

The man felt insulted. He pointed angrily at Zachary: "Kid, I'm warning you. Behind me is the Black Fox Society of Arctic Fox Starport! If you scram now, I can pretend nothing happened. Otherwise… I'll make sure none of you leave Arctic Fox Starport!"

Black Fox Society? Hearing the name, it sounded like a gang. But Zachary didn't care. He chuckled, shook his head, and spread his hands: "Your Black Fox Society might indeed have some capabilities. However, do you think any of you will leave here alive?"

The man understood the meaning in the other party's words. He immediately pulled out a dagger, and his companions behind him also took out their weapons. A group of more than a dozen people gathered together.

The three half-orc female personal guards immediately took up a fighting stance.

"Don't be in a hurry. Let me try first." Zachary stopped the three personal guards, then walked forward alone, beckoning to the men: "Stop dawdling. Let's make this quick."

"I think you're looking for death! Get him—kill this guy!" the man ordered.

His accomplices immediately swarmed forward, but because the underground pipeline itself wasn't wide, at most five people could walk abreast. In a fight, only three could rush to the front.

Seeing this, the three female personal guards gripped the short blades at their waists. General Charlotte had said that no matter what happened, protecting the captain's life was the top priority. But now the captain had ordered them not to interfere. This made them conflicted, so they could only wait and see. As soon as the captain was in danger, they would immediately act.

But an unexpected scene unfolded.

Zachary took the lead, first dodging the dagger in the hand of the first assailant, then striking that person's chest with a punch.

Crack!

That was the sound of a fractured sternum.

Then Zachary delivered two flying kicks, directly sending the other two flying as well. The speed was incredible, the movements fluid, and the power terrifying. Even the three half-orc female personal guards were amazed. This was in no way inferior to the elite warriors of their half-orc tribe!

"Continue." A fighting glint flashed in Zachary's eyes.

After injecting the T1 Super Soldier Serum, Zachary had undergone simulated combat on the starship. The data showed that his current physical fitness exceeded that of most interstellar soldiers. However, because he hadn't had any actual combat, Zachary still didn't know how strong he truly was. If he used the half-orc female crew members as opponents, they would be mindful of his status as captain and wouldn't strike hard, and he also couldn't be rough with female crew members. So he had been waiting for an opportunity to stretch his limbs. And now he had it.

Three minutes later.

Except for that man, all the other accomplices lay on the ground, a third of them having directly died. Either their hearts were directly shattered by heavy blows, or their necks were severed by a hand chop. Zachary's strength was simply too great; an ordinary person's body couldn't withstand it.

"You… you… don't come any closer." The man looked at Zachary in horror, backing away constantly, finally turning around and fleeing in fright.

Zachary picked up a dagger from the ground and threw it directly. The dagger plunged into the man's buttocks.

"Ah…" A sharp scream, and the man fell directly beside Lilith, in a peculiar posture.

Zachary said with dissatisfaction, "The accuracy is still not good. I clearly aimed for the head."

Lilith looked at the man lying in front of her, recalling how during their years of escape, it was these kinds of people who had relentlessly pursued them, and many sisters had even lost their lives because of it. Her hatred flared. She picked up a small knife nearby and plunged it into the man's neck, blood splattering onto her face.

After a few seconds of dazedness, Lilith came back to her senses, vigilantly looking at the strange combination of one man and three women.

"You are from the Demon Tribe, aren't you?" Zachary said to Lilith while signaling the three female personal guards behind him to clean the battlefield, disposing of anyone who hadn't yet died among those people. This was a common occurrence for the half-orc female crew members; with a flick of the wrist and a blade, a life was gone.

"Are you here to capture us too?" Lilith said, holding the dagger to her fair neck: "I would rather die than let you humiliate me."

Zachary shrugged and smiled: "If you want to die, then die, but I have no intention of humiliating you. I just saw the Demon Tribe and was curious to come and see."

Lilith was stunned. She didn't understand what this man meant.

"It's no longer safe here. If you don't mind, you can come to my starship. I can guarantee your safety," Zachary said.

Lilith stared at Zachary, vigilantly saying, "How do I know your purpose isn't the same as theirs?"

"If my purpose were the same as theirs, I could just capture you directly. Why would I waste my breath here with you? If you don't accept my goodwill, then suit yourself. Let's go. Anyway, someone will come to catch you soon. You can die and be done with it, but it's a pity for your clansmen. I think there are even children among them." Zachary turned around, preparing to leave.

Lilith's soft spot was hit. She looked at her clansmen, who were huddled together in fear behind her. She bit her red lips lightly, and finally couldn't help but call out: "Hey! I'm willing to go with you, as long as… as long as you can guarantee the safety of my clansmen and not harm them. I… I… I can agree to any conditions you have."

These words had a significant impact on a man, especially coming from the mouth of a captivating Demon Tribe woman.

"Can the three of you find a way to send them back to our starship? No problem, right?" Zachary looked at his personal guards.

The personal guards glanced at the Demon Tribe members, then nodded: "Captain, we can rent a few hovercars, park them at the exit of the underground pipeline, then hide them in the cars and take them back to the starship. It's not a difficult task."

"Then let's do that." Zachary said, walking toward the outside of the pipeline without looking back, as if he didn't care about the Demon Tribe members behind him at all.

Lilith hugged her clansmen. She didn't know if her choice was right or wrong, but rather than waiting to die here, it was better to take a chance! She looked at the man's retreating back, her expression complex.

What she didn't see was the slight upward curve of the man's lips.
