Chapter 33 - I Want to Build a Ship

Zachary Chase didn't feel anything special about the journey from the North Star Galaxy to the Arctic Fox Galaxy. If he hadn't been told, he probably wouldn't have realized he had arrived in another galaxy. Because basically, everything within sight was similar: a dark universe, boundless space, and planets, satellites, and asteroids of various shapes…

When Zachary awoke from the hibernation pod again, the initial discomfort was slightly reduced, but his legs were still trembling.

"Captain, our starship has arrived at the outskirts of Arctic Fox Starport," Charlotte reported.

Zachary looked at the massive starport before him, its size many times larger than the starport at the North Starship Military Academy. Because this was a true starport! It could even be called an interstellar city!

"Contact this person. Tell them it's Zachary Chase from the Blizzard Zero," Zachary raised his hand and sent a communication link to Charlotte.

Charlotte complied, and soon a video window popped up. On the other side was a beautiful woman dressed in what looked like a work uniform.

"Hello, Mr. Zachary Chase. I am the person in charge of Arctic Fox Starport, designation CC11. It's an honor to serve you. According to your previous request when you contacted us, a large starship modification, construction, and upgrade workshop has been prepared for you. I will send you the address. You have reserved it for two months, and the price is 100,000 star coins. Additionally, all the 'goods' you ordered, totaling 1.5 million star coins, have arrived and, as per your request, have been placed in your starship workshop," the female manager said with a smile.

"1.5 million star coins!" Wendy Chase exclaimed, looking at Zachary, who remained unfazed.

Charlotte also glanced at Zachary in surprise, but her long-standing composure prevented her from losing her composure like Wendy.

"Thank you, miss. I'll treat you to tea another day," Zachary said with a smile.

The female manager covered her mouth and chuckled softly: "Sir, you jest. During your stay, I am your exclusive contact. If you need anything, you can contact me at any time. I'm available 24 hours." After saying that, she didn't forget to wink. This was a big client; the bonus for this order was equivalent to half of her usual basic salary for six months!

Charlotte received the starport berth location, and under starport dispatch, the Blizzard Zero slowly sailed toward it, preparing to enter the port.

"What's with this 1.5 million star coins?" Wendy couldn't help but ask again.

"I sold a T1 starship technology," Zachary didn't hide it. Anyway, there would be no need to hide it soon.

"Sold T1 starship technology?" Wendy was stunned.

Zachary took out an Imperial card, clicked on it, and a holographic projection of the balance appeared.

Over 1.9 million star coins!

"Where did you get so many star coins?!" Wendy was astonished. The Little Dragon Star System's family fortune wasn't even that much.

"I sold the T1 Wolf Louse-class Medium Interstellar Destroyer technology for 3 million, and then 500,000 was extorted from Victor Hargrove. Renting this Arctic Fox Starport's starship workshop for two months cost 100,000 star coins. The batch of goods ordered cost 1.5 million star coins. Then, the supplies before the Blizzard Zero's departure cost 10,000 star coins. After all the miscellaneous expenses, I'm left with about 1.9 million star coins," Zachary shrugged.

Wendy listened to all this, unable to recover for a long time. She also caught the key point: T1 starship technology?

"Where did you get T1 starship technology?!"

"I developed it myself."

"When did you learn to develop starship technology?"

"Didn't you see me assemble a starship?"

"Assembly and development are two completely different things."

"In my opinion, it's just a slightly more difficult matter."

Wendy held her head. Since when was developing a brand-new starship just a 'slightly more difficult' matter?

Beep, beep, beep.

Just as Wendy was about to press for more information, her handheld terminal flashed. She glanced at it, and her expression became serious: "It's the hidden sentry my sister arranged!"

"Ask her if she can video communicate," Zachary asked.

Wendy asked. Then she said, "She said yes, but only for five minutes!"

"Five minutes is enough."

The video communication quickly started, and a video window appeared before Zachary and Wendy. On the other side was a refined woman.

Zachary recalled the information about this woman from his memory. A small manager in the interstellar trade industry of the Little Dragon Star System. He didn't expect her to be the hidden sentry arranged by his elder sister. Her name seemed to be Jenna Hong.

"Second Young Master, Third Young Miss." Jenna bowed slightly.

"Let's get straight to the point. What's the situation in the Little Dragon Star System?" Zachary asked directly.

Jenna was startled. She hadn't expected the formerly timid second young master's tone to be so firm, but this was what she was about to say.

"I received a message two days ago. Several Little Dragon Star System nobles conspired with interstellar pirates. They want to use the interstellar pirates to ambush you and the third young miss with a fleet when you return to the Little Dragon Star System for your holiday. At that time, they can ask the Empire to nominate a new lord. And I can't contact the eldest young miss. So now, second young master and third young miss, you absolutely must not return!" Jenna said.

Interstellar pirate attack?

Zachary snorted coldly. This kind of scheme was truly too old-fashioned, but it had to be said that it was very effective.

"Do you know how many starships the interstellar pirates they contacted are preparing to ambush us? Also, the list of nobles involved in this plan, and the number of starships they control," Zachary asked.

Jenna didn't understand why Zachary was asking this, but coincidentally, she happened to know: "That group of interstellar pirates isn't really a major force; they're just a roving band. They only have thirty starships, five of which are T2 starships, and the rest are T1 starships. I already have a list of the Little Dragon Star System nobles involved in this plot. If the second young master needs it, I can transmit it to you. The fleets controlled by these nobles number only a dozen or so, mostly T1 starships, with a few families having one or two T2 starships."

"Transmit the list to me immediately. You continue to hide your identity and stand by. If there is any other intelligence, notify me immediately," Zachary ordered.

"Yes." Jenna was stunned. How did she end up obeying the second young master's command? She hurriedly asked: "Then, second young master, what are your plans?"

"For now, I won't go back. If I have other plans, I'll contact you again," Zachary said.

"Then I will try to contact the eldest young miss. As long as the eldest young miss intervenes, this matter can definitely be handled. I shouldn't communicate for too long here, so I'll stop now. Second young master, third young miss, please be careful." Jenna finished speaking and hung up the communication.

At this moment, a list also appeared before Zachary and Wendy.

The Cui Family, the Bao Family… There were more than a dozen large and small family forces on it, but most of them were inconspicuous small families and minor forces. Only the first two, for the Little Dragon Star System, were unusual.

"I didn't expect the Cui Family and the Bao Family to conspire with interstellar pirates to try and kill us!" Wendy said indignantly.

"The Cui Family and the Bao Family's influence in the Little Dragon Star System has long surpassed our Chase family's. Our position as lord is just a nominal title. Their desires are no longer satisfied; they don't want to merely be nobles within a star system." Zachary looked at the list and said with some surprise: "But what I didn't expect was that her family isn't on it."

"So what do we do now? Oh, you still haven't clearly explained why we came to this Arctic Fox Starport!" Wendy's questions were now like a volcano about to erupt.

"Didn't I already say? Starship construction," Zachary said.

"Starship construction? Construct what kind of starship?" Wendy was surprised.

At this moment, the Blizzard Zero had already entered the large starship workshop. This starship workshop was several tens of times larger than the starship workshop at the North Starship Military Academy! Even with the Blizzard Zero docked inside, there was plenty of room.

"We came to Arctic Fox Starport because it has one of the few large starship workshops in the Star Glory Empire's Northern Star Region, and it's fully equipped with all necessary facilities, and various raw materials can be dispatched at any time, greatly increasing the speed of starship construction."

Zachary looked at the starship workshop before him, feeling a sense of excitement.

"Starship construction… starship construction… what exactly are you going to construct?" Wendy couldn't help but press further.

Zachary raised his hand, and a holographic image of a starship appeared before Wendy, instantly capturing her attention.

It was an Aircraft Carrier Starship, with a very magnificent appearance.

"That's it."
