The world aggregate cost reached three on a Thursday.

Oren didn't announce it at a session.

He sent a message to the network at dawn.

That was all.

The network received it over the following hours as the threading and the correspondence chains carried it to the correction workers in their territories and the school graduates in their communities and the coal keepers in their practices.

The responses came back over two days.

Most of them were short.

Senn: Three.

Soma: Three.

Lyr: Three.

Wren: The threads are running at a quality I have never felt before in thirty-seven years and four months of threading.

His mother: The queue was empty this morning.

The queue was empty.

He sat with that.

The intake queue empty.

Not because people had stopped coming.

Because the between-space was present enough at three that the disorientation of encountering it had become so small that people found their footing before they needed the intake desk.

The intake desk still there.
