Chapter 4 - Episode 4: The Blueprint of Souls

The air in the shrine didn't just turn cold; it turned heavy, as if the oxygen itself was being replaced by the weight of forgotten sorrows. Sora stood his ground, his knuckles white as he gripped the golden thread of his sister's memory.

"The Architects of Oblivion don't just erase memories, Sora," Hana's voice cracked, her fingers trembling as she tried to steady the Glass Loom. "They feed on them. To them, a human soul is just a battery of regrets. And your sister... her soul was too bright to ignore."

The faceless shadows circled them, their bodies flickering like static on a broken television. One shadow, taller than the rest, stepped forward. It didn't have a mouth, yet Sora could hear a haunting rasp inside his head: "Give it back, little builder. The boy who builds on sand shouldn't play with gold."

Sora felt a surge of anger. He remembered the dusty streets of his childhood, the way the sun looked through the trees, and the promise he made to never let his family down. He wasn't just a student or an architect-in-training anymore.

"This isn't sand," Sora roared, his voice echoing through the Tokyo night. "This is her life!"

Suddenly, the indigo glow from Sora's chest exploded outward. It didn't strike like a weapon; it structured like a building. Transparent, glowing blueprints of light shot out from his feet, mapping the entire shrine. The floor became a grid of neon geometric patterns.

As the shadows touched the light, they didn't vanish—they were trapped in the geometry. Sora realized his power: he could 're-architect' the space around him. He began to visualize walls of pure willpower, ceilings of hope, and floors of solid resolve.

"Hana, now!" Sora yelled.

Hana seized the moment, her loom spinning at a blurring speed. She began weaving the golden thread back into a protective sphere. But as the light intensified, Sora saw something in the shadows that froze his heart. Among the faceless monsters, one shadow had a shape he recognized.

It was wearing his sister's favorite ribbon.
