"Oh my, are they back?" I heard a female ask, staring at the dry river, and a fox male beside her scoffed.
"I'm sure they left us behind and ran away. You can never trust outsiders, especially not that Villainess," he sneered, and the female sighed in defeat.
"True, they aren't the first to actually lie about helping us," she said and stood up, holding her basket. She must have hoped to see water rushing.
Just as she turned her back, the ground began to move and tremble. She stared down in shock and held tighter to her basket.
"What's happeni—" Before she could even finish her words, a huge fountain of water immediately landed straight on her, even carrying her away from her spot. She floated in the river, and her eyes widened.
"It's water, it's water!" she screamed. It was so loud, I could hear everyone rushing towards the river.
"They really did do it!" a few others murmured. Even the fox male slandering us earlier just stared in confusion and total shock.
