"You obviously can't go out while pregnant! Just stay behind," Liora said, and I nodded, but then Elowen's voice followed.
"Sister, if you are sick, stay behind. I will talk to the Headmistress on your behalf," she said softly, and that… it made my stomach churn. Elowen would never be this nice. Something was going on.
"Guys, don't worry. I can go out," I said and gently stood up. Even though my legs felt heavy, I still dragged them forward.
"You don't look good!" Bibi said, and Ryker reached out to hold my waist.
"Elowen is planning something. I can't just let her get away with it!" I said. Everyone wanted to protest, but seeing how determined I looked, they didn't say another word and agreed.
I slipped into a slightly loose dress, but my figure still showed beautifully beneath it. I walked downstairs and straight into the arena, where female humans and their beast-men were already gathered.
