Chapter 7 - 007: READER51

The drums started and I reached out my legs, gracing everyone with my thighs. Then I slowly swirled my waist, reached out my hands, and bent down slowly.

The drums began to beat fast and my waist moved to it, shaking and swirling, the ornaments around it shook too... I was really enjoying myself, but this dance was nothing like the traditional dance.

I started to bounce my boobs in place, watching as everyone's mouths dropped. Even Elowen didn't expect it.

I felt my beast-men's gaze locked on me, their eyes ravishing through my body. I bent my back softly and then began to bounce my ass too, playing a silent modern music in my head.

I forgot one detail: I lived dancing indoors, and my dances were quite provocative.

"What in the mother of holy Dukes," someone rasped.

"My eyes, they hurt."

"I wouldn't lie… she's loaded," the females burned, but the beast-men stared with lust visible in there eyes. Of course they would, their main purpose was to breed and serve their master, but another could be appeasing to them too.

"What are you doing, sister, this isn't..."

I stopped finally, after being satisfied enough, and gently flashed a smile at her. "You didn't expect me to dance the prostitute dance, did you? That would almost certainly tarnish my image," I replied softly. Elowen's eyes dilated, anger and amusement visible.

"You just shook your ass and you talk of reputation!"

I gasped. "Elowen, wasn't your purpose to disgrace me? Did you enjoy the show just now? Am sure your beast man did. I gave you what you wanted but at my level!"

"You—" she passed and turned to the Duke. "She intentionally turned the heads of the beast-men, coveting is forbidden here!" she said softly, and the Duke's eyes darkened.

"Where are you ambers, Raven!" she yelled, striking her staff on the ground. Everyone went quiet at the motion, she was angry and displeased. Everyone lowered their gaze, but me? I stared at her and smirked.

"And Elowen asking me to transfer my beast-men to her isn't also coveting?" I asked and watched as her lips trembled. She turned to the Duke seeking justice.

"Concerning that matter, transferring them to your, cousin, would be most eminent, since—"

"I haven't LOST yet. Transferring them to someone else is not valid!"

"I didn't ask?"

"And I wouldn't listen, Duke," I said, and everyone gasped, their gazes still bowed down, trembling. I could feel the Duke's anger, but I wasn't scared. She reminded me of my biological mother, who favored my twin more. I wouldn't accept to be wronged in this world.

She stood up in anger. "Let the tournament begin!" She roared, and in that split second, the ground beneath me shook and...

SLIP

I fell, staring into the abyss and straight into the pool. In my last life, this never happened. Did I change too much?

I drifted in the water motionless, and finally my eyes widened. I swam to the surface, gasping for breath, and then I heard her dark, echoing voice.

"Survive the three terrifying wolf-fish and you pass the tournament!" She paused. "If you don't, then your beast-men get transferred and your title is void."

I licked my bottom lip. In the novel, originally, the villainess had walked into the tournament arena herself after being provoked. But the wolf-fish had wounded her badly; they were creatures with tails of a fish and the top half of their body resembling a wolf, with claws and sharp teeth. They were disgusting. The original villainess wouldn't have survived, but not me.

I dived into the water and raised my two hands to my chest, staring at the blank black ocean.

[Magic level increased to 5%] I watched as it faded and swirled my hands in a circle, a faint gold hue shimmering, but then..

*Howl*

I froze, they had been released... I knew they were watching from the hologram the Duke created with her magic.

Small, tiny sparks flared, and in front of me a portal slowly, but then—

Bam!

I was hit and thrown off balance. I swirled in that water, my head spun. A wolf-fish must have found me.

I used force to stop myself from spinning and stayed silent in the water. I started again with my hands, but then I felt a cold turrent rushing towards me, and I dodged. It was dark, so I couldn't see the creature…

I swirled again, but then...CHUNK.

"Ahhhrgh!" I screamed as I felt the sharp canine of the creature bite into my left ankle.

"Fvck!" I cursed, biting my lower lip, trying to muffle out the pain. Right then, I wondered what my beast-men were thinking. Were they happy I was about to die? I really didn't know... but the creature dragged me down with it. The other creatures found me swimming towards me fast; I could see them rushing towards me and my eyes widened in fear.

[Host open the portal or you die!] I heard the cat voice and trembled in pain. I was losing consciousness; I must have lost alot of blood.

I whirled my hand that instance refusing and watched as the portal opened partially .I sighed about to pass out, but then I saw him. Thyrian, hope flickered in my eyes, but my hands felt weak I couldn't stay consciousany longer.

"Thyrian," I muttered softly, and my eyes closed. I couldn't keep the portal open long enough. I guess this was my end…

But I didn't want to die. With my last remaining strength I swirled my hand again, and suddenly the water began to tremble.

Suddenly, a soft hand wrapped around my waist, and I looked up. Thyrian... I stared. God, he looked heavenly right now.

"Are you okay?" he asked. My eyes brightened. I snapped out of my daze healing my now free ankle and nodded. He smirked and snuggled his nose to my cheeks.

But then gnashing of teeth was heard, and we both turned to them. He gently placed me behind him…
