Chapter 16 - Tang San is Truly a Terrible Teammate!

Clear Sky Sect

A charming figure followed Er Ming back to the main hall.

The young girl had long pinkish-blue hair draped behind her. Her eyes were as bright as stars, and her skin was whiter than snow. Even though she wore only simple martial attire, it could not hide her peerless beauty.

She was none other than the little princess of the Clear Sky Sect, Wang Donger, whom Da Ming and Er Ming treated like the pearl in their palms.

"Big Dad, Second Dad."

Wang Donger blinked her large eyes, looking curiously at these two elders who usually doted on her.

"Why were you so urgent to call me back? Did something happen?"

Da Ming looked at the young girl before him, a complex expression flashing in his eyes. He then cleared his throat and said seriously,

"Xiao Qi, calling you back is because there's something I need to tell you."

"Didn't we originally plan to send you to register at that Shrek Academy in a few days?"

"Mhm, yes."

Wang Donger nodded obediently.

"Cough, cough..."

Da Ming coughed awkwardly twice, his gaze flickering.

"That... the original Shrek Academy, we won't be going there for the time being."

"Ah?" Wang Donger was stunned, her small face filled with confusion. "Not going? Why? Then where will I go to school later?"

"Uh... about that..."Da Ming paused, seemingly organizing his words. "We plan to send you to another Shrek Academy."

"Another... Shrek Academy?" Wang Donger felt even more muddled. "Shrek Academy... there are two of them?"

"This other Shrek Academy... what exactly is it?"

Facing Wang Donger's questioning, Da Ming and Er Ming looked at each other, both looking completely bewildered.

To be honest, they didn't know what on earth this other Shrek Academy was either.

After all, they had been shut away in the Clear Sky Sect for ten thousand years and didn't know much about the outside World, let alone this mysterious power that had just popped up. Tang San had only told them that this Shrek Academy was currently enrolling, today was the last day, and they needed to hurry.

"This..."

Er Ming scratched his head and gave a simple, honest smile.

"Actually, we aren't very clear about it either."

"But we'll know once we get there. Time is pressing, let's head over quickly. Today is the final day."

"Xiao Qi, we must act quickly."

However, hearing this, Wang Donger's small mouth gradually pouted, and an unhappy expression appeared on her face.

"Hmph!"

She stomped her foot, looking at the two of them with a bit of grievance.

"Big Dad, Second Dad, are you hiding something from me?"

"Why is even the matter of which academy I'm going to being handled so mysteriously?"

"Is it... Father's arrangement again?" When she mentioned the word "Father," Wang Donger's tone clearly carried a hint of estrangement and resentment.

She had no memory of this father of hers; in fact, she had no memories of her childhood at all.

Yet Big Dad and Second Dad followed his every word, keeping her under strict control.

This feeling of being manipulated made her very uncomfortable.

Seeing Wang Donger's aggrieved little look, Da Ming and Er Ming felt a pang of heartache, but due to Tang San's authority, they didn't dare say much more.

They could only nod helplessly. "Yes... it is indeed your father's intention." Da Ming sighed and consoled her softly. "Xiao Qi, you know that your father... although he isn't by your side, every decision he makes is certainly for your own good."

"Since he wants you to go to that academy, there must be a reason."

"Just be obedient and go give it a try, okay?"

"Hmph..."

Although Wang Donger was still somewhat unwilling, she knew she couldn't win against these two elders, much less against the father she had never met.

She could only nod reluctantly.

"Then go and get ready quickly."

Da Ming breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly urged her.

"Remember to change into male clothing. It's more convenient for traveling and will save you some trouble."

The male clothing was also Tang San's requirement

....

The outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest.

When Da Ming and Er Ming arrived with Wang Donger, who was disguised as a handsome young man, the sun was already about to set.

The once bustling recruitment site had now become deserted.

Teacher Shen Yi and The one fighting Yan Shaozhe had already taken the recruited students back to the academy on the floating bus.

Only a beautiful woman dressed in a silver robe with an elegant and noble temperament remained, directing several staff members to pack up the tables and chairs.

It was none other than the Silver Moon Douluo, Cai Yue'er.

"Excuse me..."

Er Ming strode forward to Cai Yue'er and asked in a muffled voice.

"Is this the place where Shrek Academy is recruiting?"

Cai Yue'er stopped what she was doing and looked up at the three people in front of her. "That's right, this is indeed the recruitment office for Shrek Academy."Cai Yue'er nodded faintly.

"However, you all are late."

"Today's recruitment work has already ended."

"If you want to register, please come early next year."

"What?!"

Hearing this, Da Ming and Er Ming were both stunned.

"End... ended?" Er Ming scratched his head in anxiety.

They had rushed over with Wang Donger as soon as Tang San finished speaking, but even traveling at full speed, they were still late.

This was all Tang San's fault; couldn't he have mentioned this earlier?

Why did he have to wait until the last minute?

Moreover, if they didn't get Wang Donger in, Tang San might even blame them for being incompetent.

"Teacher."

"Could you make an exception?"

"We came from a very far place and were delayed on the road."

"My nephew's talent is very good! He's definitely a genius!"

"Can you... give him a chance?"

Cai Yue'er had intended to refuse, but Lin Feng's voice reached her mind, and she then spoke slowly.

"A chance... it's not impossible to give."

"How about this."

As Cai Yue'er spoke, she flipped her wrist and took out an exquisite small model from her storage soul tool.

Then, the model expanded rapidly in the wind, transforming in the blink of an eye into a silver sports car with sleek lines and a high-tech feel!

"Vroom—"

The roar of the engine was low and powerful. A faint flowing light emanated from around the car body, and it actually began to float slowly!

"If you can keep up with my speed and reach Shrek Academy..."

Cai Yue'er sat in the driver's seat, rolled down the window, and raised an eyebrow at the three of them.

"I will make an exception and give this little fellow a qualification to take the test."

As soon as she finished speaking.

"Boom!"

A blue flame erupted from the rear of the silver sports car, and it instantly turned into a streak of silver lightning, shooting straight into the clouds!

"Holy crap?!"

Watching the flying car vanish into the distance, Er Ming couldn't help but swear, his eyes nearly popping out.

"What kind of thing is that?"

Have the spirit tools humans cooked up these days become this impressive?

Even the usually steady Da Ming was now filled with shock and disbelief.

This thing... completely exceeded their understanding of spirit tools!

"What are you standing there for! Chase it!"

Da Ming was the first to react. With a loud shout, green light erupted from his body as he directly carried Wang Donger into the sky.

"Wait for me!"

Er Ming also hurriedly followed.

The three of them sped along like the wind, closely tailing that streak of silver light ahead.

Following Cai Yue'er, they finally saw that Shrek Academy in the sky.

"This..."Seeing the scene before them, all three were dumbfounded. "This is... that Shrek Academy?"

"It's actually really in the sky?!"

"How is this possible?!"

Stormy waves rose in their hearts.

What kind of academy was this? This was practically a city in the sky!

Is this the God Realm?

Just as the three were about to approach that floating island, "Uh..."Wang Donger, who had been carried by Da Ming, suddenly turned pale, her brow furrowing tightly.

A strong sense of nausea welled up in her heart."It hurts so much..."Wang Donger clutched her chest and groaned in pain.

"Xiao Qi?! What's wrong?!"

Noticing Wang Donger's abnormality, Da Ming and Er Ming hurriedly stopped and asked with faces full of tension.

"I... I feel unwell..."

Wang Donger pointed at the high-tech academy ahead, her voice trembling.

"As soon as I get close to there... I feel sick all over..."

Da Ming was stunned, and then his gaze fell on the dense spirit tool facilities around the academy. A flash of inspiration suddenly crossed his mind.

"Spirit tools?!"

Only then did the two of them remember that Tang San had put something in Wang Donger's soul, making her unable to touch or use spirit tools, causing an instinctive rejection.

They had already made it here, only to find she couldn't go in?

They didn't believe for a second that Tang San didn't know about this.

First, he told them the recruitment information late, and now he didn't tell them that there were many spirit tools here, meaning Wang Donger couldn't enter at all.

Tang San is truly a troll! At the very least, he should have removed the soul restriction!

Did he really expect them to figure out a way themselves?
