Chapter 7 - Consequences

The dimension created for the hearts game: Killer's Table was reduced to tiny molecules that quickly vanished from existence.

Kai and Ryker soon appear in an open space.

This space was like a long corridor, or better yet, a long street that stretch beyond infinity.

At the sides of this long street were multiple buildings for entertainment purposes.

And above it all were four symbols that hover across this infinite space like suns and moons, bringing about day and night and creating a beautiful violet color mixed in with red and blue colors to give a vibe suited for everyone.

These symbols were naturally Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades!

Ryker ignored all of the messages sent by the system and instead checked his balance.

"I was so close to rob— err, I mean getting those guys donations!" Ryker shouted with regret.

"What can we even buy with 150 white chips?" Sighing, he searched around him and saw the buildings around him.

Quadramon Delicacies

Elfie Treasury

Fornax Workshop

Player Adversary

"Delicacy? You can eat here? Now that makes me wonder if eating here is the same as eating back on Earth!" Ryker said, licking his lips with a starved expression.

"Come on little bro. After such an amazing victory we need to full our stomachs!" He laughed, grabbing Kai hand before rushing towards the building marked Quadramon Delicacies.

Kai simply let Ryker drag him away, his eyes focused on the games system beside him.

"Robbery!" Two minutes later Ryker loud shout could be heard inside the building.

Every player inside attention were drawn to his voice.

They looked at him with mocking eyes.

"1,000 white chips, 2,000 white chips..." Ryker sat around a table as he scanned the entire menu with a frightened look.

"Why is the cheapest thing here 250 white chips?!" He asked with another shout.

He turn to the waiter beside him who had four-arms dressed in a white uniform and a black apron.

The waiter looked at Ryker, clear disdain in his four eyes.

"Look if you can't afford our food you need to leave."

His voice laced with a disrespectful attitude got Ryker anger flaring.

"You want to fight?!" He shouted, fury burning in his eyes.

"Are you sure you want to do this mister 'can't pay my own dinner' man?" The waiter retaliated as three other four-arms waiters surrounded Ryker.

"Don't start crying when I beat your sorry—" Ryker got up, fist already ready to deliver some punches when Kai grabbed him.

"We will take one fisher steak." Kai said calmly, pointing at the cheap 250 white chips food.

His calmness seem to have an effect on the four-arms waiter as he and his friends backed down and took his order.

"Is that all?"

"Yes." Kai nodded and the waiter walked away.

"New players are the worse." As the waiter walk away one of his waiter friends exclaimed not even trying to lower his voice.

"It's a surprise they even won their first game."

"They we're probably carried by some veteran."

"Do they even have enough chips to afford our food?"

"They ordered the cheapest food so probably?"

"Heh, if they don't then we will just beat them up and show them not mess with us Blankers."

Kai and Ryker heard everything they said but didn't do anything.

Ryker couldn't hold it in for long sneered. "So they are just some worthless Blanker?"

"And they think they can act so cocky." Ryker laughed, feeling a great deal of his anger go away.

He knew Kai style so he simply let him deal with it.

"Did you finish that stupid guide yet?" He dropped it, turning back to Kai and asked.

"Yeah, it was rather simple." Kai answered.

"What it say?"

"For some reason it was made for us humans. Looks like whoever oversees the games already done their research on us." Kai thought out loud but it was really him just talking to himself.

"Anyways, it said we humans are a garbage species and the only way we can survive in the games is to join one of the four main Factions." He summarized.

"You're... joking right?"

"Nope."

"Then what about those weak four-arms creatures that only have their fake muscles to show?" Ryker shouted once again for all to hear.

Once again all attention was gathered on him. This time all players even the other species looked at them as if they were truly fools.

Ryker only sneered seeing those gazes.

"Well actually. Those guys are called Quadramons and are ranked above us humans in the games."

"Wait, there's ranks?"

"Yeah, but I can't see them all. At most it only allows me to see F and E ranked species."

"So what are our rank?" Ryker asked with an anticipated look.

"We aren't in the rankings."

Ryker still looking on with anticipation said, "that must means we're ranked above F and E!"

Kai shook his head, crushing his dreams. "Nope, it just means we aren't on the rankings."

"..."

Kai seeing Ryker become quiet continued, "We aren't on the rankings because we're the only two humans in the games."

"Compared to all these species we humans have only achieved one victory."

Ryker hesitated before saying, "are we really the only two humans here?"

"Why are you so worried?" Kai said with a raised eyebrow.

"It's a good thing. Just imagine if there are Handlers on Earth. Wouldn't that just mean we are doomed?"

"Handlers aren't all that." Ryker scuffed, reminded of Amore pitiful defeat at their hands.

"You can't use Amore as an example. Besides, we already confirmed she is still alive." Kai explained.

"You of all people should know she was holding back for whatever reason."

"In fact, say for example there was someone on Earth who could manipulate others as easily as Amore? We were free from her manipulation because we wouldn't just trust others easily, same for the veterans. But what about other humans? Someone like Amore could easily bring Earth into chaos, toppling world leaders and turning the whole planet into their own personal playground." Kai added.

"How are you so sure those cards even work outside the games?" Ryker asked with a genuine look.

"It said so in the guide." Kai replied.

Right then and there, the same waiter arrived with the food.

"Here is your fisher steak. I hope it can full the two of you stomachs." The waiter said with a mocking remark.

Ryker and Kai didn't give him any attention.

Instead, Ryker used his bare hands and cut off only a quarter of the steak for himself.

"As the little bro you should have more." He said, stuffing the quarter of the steak in his mouth.

"You know we could've just split it fifty-fifty." Kai said, not rejecting the extra steak.

"How could I do such a thing as the biggest one here?"

"Well thank you and I hope this isn't some little scheme you're making to make me do something for you in the future."

"I would never..." Ryker said while avoiding his gaze from Kai who already finished his piece of the steak.

His eyes then landed on the waiter who was still standing there.

"What do you want?" Ryker asked.

"How unrefined. You two just eat the steak with no manners at all." The waiter said with his voice laced in disgust.

"So what?" Ryker asked again, his mouth a mess filled with steak crumbs.

The waiter ignored him realizing there's no point talking sense into Ryker.

Instead he turn to Kai who seemed to be the most logical one.

"Since you finish eating you need to pay up. That will be 500 white chips!" The waiter exclaimed.

He expected some sort of reaction from Kai but got nothing.

He turn to Ryker knowing he was probably fuming as of now but also got no reaction out of him!

"Umm? Did you not hear me..." The waiter feeling like he was being humiliated was about to repeat what he said when Ryker raised his voice.

"You guess right little bro. He really did go and increase the price!" He said, clapping his hands together loudly.

The other customers hearing the disturbance once again couldn't take it anymore.

"Can you get this imbecile out of here?"

"What species is this! They are so annoying!"

"Fuck! I'm trying to enjoy my food after a long brutal battle against a Five of Hearts and some idiot is here ruining my mood!"

The customers all began yelling curses at the waiter.

The waiter quickly noticed that things were getting out of hand gaze turn cold.

"Pay up and leave!" He shouted at Kai.

"Who said were paying?" Kai said, finish wiping his mouth and laying back lazily on the chair.

"If you don't want to pay then die!" The waiter quickly became hostile.

He raised his muscular hand at Kai intending to crush his head!

"You know even a plastic knife can be lethal." Kai exclaimed.

He wasn't asking, he was saying as if what he was saying was the truth that can't be lie.

He then raised the same plastic knife he was just talking about and although the waiter hand was already reaching for his head...

The plastic knife arrived first and pierced into one of his four eyes.

Ryker also joined in and punched him in the face, on the same knife.

The punch caused the knife to go in deeper and letting the waiter to let out a pain filled shriek.

The waiter went backwards, his other arms trying to grab the knife out of his eye.

"What did you do to me?!" He roared, unable to open his other eyes.

"I just exert a bit of pressure into the muscles that allows you to keep your eyes open." Kai walked up to him and grabbed what looks like a pistol that was at his waist.

He studied it for a while before tossing it to Ryker.

"I don't know how to use this thing."

Ryker looked it over and let out a casual laugh.

He then held the gun up and pointed it at the waiter head.

"If you want to scheme against us brothers then expect consequences!"
