"Where are we going now?" Zachary asked warmly, glancing at his wife before starting the car.
Sienna adjusted her seatbelt and turned toward him. "Of course, we're going home." She smiled, but she noticed the reluctant look on his face. "Honey, did you forget that your parents are coming to visit us this afternoon? We need to hurry home; you don't want them to arrive first and make everything even more awkward."
Zachary sighed and started the car. He didn't say anything else, focusing on the road as he drove.
Sienna understood why his mood had suddenly changed, so she reached over and patted his arm. "You should give your dad a chance, Zach. Agree to his request, huh?"
He glanced at her briefly, then looked back at the road. "I'm just tired of hearing him tell me to go back and lead Sterling Capital."
"Seriously, why don't you want to go back?" Sienna asked, still puzzled.
