I haven't been updating at all, and a lot has to do with my mental and physical health. I'm genuinely so sorry. I haven't given up on these two at all, but it'll be a bit before I can think clearly or even manage to write. I've been so close to finishing the story and intend on doing so!
I also may put the backstory on hold and continue writing the modern day, as that may play a part as to why I'm lacking motivation (aside from my physical health and medication issues).
