Chapter 11 - The Shadow Twins

Meanwhile, Leon thought that his search for the golden wood was almost over, and he turned his face westward, returning from where he came.

As soon as Leon took a step westward, he suddenly stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide and his expression frozen for a moment. The scene seemed strange, and mystery hung over the place, but Leon's smile broke this atmosphere.

It was a cold smile accompanied by even colder laughter, while Leon's eyes sparkled like shining stars in the sky.

[Notification: Warning, an unknown object is approaching the player]

"Oh, hey, hey, I know that, I can tell from this distance, but it's okay, I think this is the right time to have some fun."

[Notification: Operation successful]

[Notification: Adapting and dominating traits are being utilized to the maximum possible extent]

[Notification: Operation successful, the player's adaptation and domination abilities have been significantly upgraded]

While the alternative assistant was doing her part in enhancing Leon's abilities and ensuring they were utilized to the maximum possible extent, Leon was advancing down the hill, a fierce aura of magical particles swirling around him, and his facial expressions indicated that he was eager for this.

"Hahahaha, it's been a while since I faced a good opponent, well, come closer, you lone golem."

While the golem army had made its way northwest until it was no longer visible to the naked eye, one of these golems was lagging behind, but it seemed that this golem had lost its way and found itself heading towards the place where Leon was hiding.

Since it was a single golem, Leon would not shy away from confronting it, especially since this golem was advancing eastward towards Leon.

"Hey, alternative assistant, looking back at my memories in that cave, I heard you say that you used all the healing potions in the storage dimension, didn't you?"

[Notification: Yes, that's right, all magical potions in the storage dimension were depleted at that time]

"Good, I understand from your words that the storage dimension still exists."

[Notification: Yes, the storage dimension still exists]

Upon hearing this, Leon smiled narcissistically as if the world was in his hands, then he interrupted this atmosphere by asking the alternative assistant: "Hahaha, good, now bring out the Shadow Twins."

[Notification: Hmm...]

"Hmm? What now? I said bring out the Shadow Twins, the uniquely designed daggers, can't you recognize them? Aren't you supposed to know their forms since you can look through my memories?"

[Notification: Ah, that's not the problem, the real problem is that these daggers do not exist in the storage dimension]

As if this news was a slap that woke Leon from his sleep: "Haaah, what are you saying? How can this happen? Aren't they supposed to remain stored in the storage dimension?"

[Notification: Yes, but for some reason, from the moment I opened the storage dimension to retrieve the healing potions inside the cave, these two daggers were not present within the storage dimension]

Suddenly, expressions of anger and annoyance replaced the confidence and arrogance that had been on Leon's face moments before: "Damn it, first the Abyss magic and now the Shadow Twins, what could be worse than this now?"

[Notification: Searching precisely within the storage dimension]

[Notification: Search operation completed successfully]

[Notification: The materials stored within the storage dimension are a collection of primitive weapons, nothing more, there is nothing special inside it]

Looking at Leon, who saw the golem approaching him little by little, to the extent that it was now possible to accurately determine the size and features of this golem from this distance, its size was enormous, three times Leon's size, and its body was made of thick clay, and the density of its magical particles was relatively high.

At this stage, Leon was perplexed, as this golem did not pose a real threat to him, but confronting it without a good weapon slightly upset the equation. However, Leon had no other choice but to confront it.

"Okay, alternative assistant, bring me a dagger."

[Notification: Okay, a medium-range dagger will be brought out now]

[Notification: Extraction operation completed successfully]

At this moment, a metal dagger appeared directly in front of Leon... Leon gripped the dagger firmly in his right hand while taking a slightly bent stance, and in return, the golem had already arrived, and the distance separating it from Leon was only a few meters.

At this point, Leon preferred to initiate the attack. In the blink of an eye, Leon was brandishing his dagger behind the golem's neck directly, then he pounced on it and plunged his dagger into the back of its neck while the golem behaved like a raging bull, thrashing right and left and trying to push Leon off its back.

While this golem was struggling to push Leon off its back, Leon, too, did not want to remain clinging to the golem's back for long.

Leon was looking for the closest places where the golem's core might be located, as destroying it was the only way to defeat this golem. And looking at the golem's movement, it was clear that Leon's attack and stab to the back of its neck had not yielded any benefit, and it was clear that its core was not there.

But Leon was not an easy target either, as he pulled his dagger from its place and then began to deliver a barrage of direct stabs to the golem's neck to ensure that its core was not hidden in its neck.

And since this barrage of stabs also yielded no result, Leon jumped off the golem's back after struggling to balance himself while clinging to its back.

As soon as Leon jumped, he was in a vulnerable position, suspended in the air, devoid of any means of maneuver. At this moment, the golem quickly turned, its fist moving faster as it headed towards Leon, who was suspended in the air without any means of maneuver.

In response, Leon's arms intertwined in front of his face in an attempt to avoid fatal damage.

As soon as Leon's arms intertwined, the golem's massive fist collided with them forcefully. Due to the immense power of the punch, Leon was thrown more than five meters backward, where a rock lying behind him stopped him.

This caused Leon to sustain significant damage, as a little blood began to come out of his mouth while he had a slight coughing fit, but despite all this, Leon smiled calmly as if he was completely satisfied with what had happened to him: "Hey, hey, good, you're not bad, you deserve a good end at my hands."

As soon as Leon said this, he began to attack again, ignoring the damage he had sustained moments before, and as Leon renewed his attack, his speed had increased from what it was, and even his wounds were healing very quickly, this was the effect of the adaptation trait.

While Leon's right fist was tightly closed around the dagger's hilt, Leon's left hand was busy casting magic on his enemy, and before Leon's dagger reached the golem's body, Leon cast paralysis on his opponent. For a moment, the golem was unable to make any movement, this was a perfect opportunity to end this fight.

With all his strength, Leon's dagger pierced the golem's chest area, and as the dagger slowly advanced, cutting its way through the golem's body, a different sound could be heard from the sound of piercing the golem's body, it was a harsher and sharper sound.

At this moment, Leon's determination increased even more, and he pushed the dagger forward with much greater force until a shattering sound echoed.

This sound was followed by cracks that began to appear on the golem's body, and as soon as Leon saw this, he realized that the battle was already over and that he had finally managed to destroy the golem's core.

Leon pulled his dagger, which was in a miserable state, from the golem's body, and as soon as Leon did this, the golem completely collapsed before Leon's eyes, announcing Leon's victory in this battle.
