"You're still here?"
Elroy stood at the door.
"Um, yes."
He took a breath, looking at me for a moment then turning away. There's something he wants to say.
"Speak."
"... Oh. Don't you think that was a bit too much?"
I stared at him for a moment.
"Be serious."
"OK fine. Let me close the door first."
As he shut the door, I went back to my seat.
I prompted him to take a chair when he returned, but he shook his head.
Looks like this is urgent.
"Isaac..."
I shot him a look.
First Kyra, now him.
How disappointing.
"I'm sorry. Wilbur."
"You may proceed."
"We've got a problem."
"I can tell."
"I've been sensing energy lately, strong energy."
His heightened senses were never wrong. My interest has been sparked.
"How many?"
"Two. Possibly." He said. "Listen Wilbur... I think we should strike first."
"No. That'll scare the people."
"Then what?"
"I'm going to the airport."
"More running?" He frowned at me.
His frustration didn't matter to me at this moment.
"What about the kids?"
"Put their safety above their feelings."
"I understand." He agreed, hesitantly.
"I should go."
With that said, I stood, heading for the door.
"Hold on."
I stopped.
"Where are we going anyways?"
"Don't worry about that."
"And what if they get to us before then?"
"We'll proceed with your plan."
I turned the door knob, leaving before he could say anything else.
The moment I was outside, I paused for a bit, letting out a deep sigh.
After seven years... they're...
"You okay daddy?"
I heard a voice from behind me. It was my daughter, Tasha.
I didn't see her until now. Maybe I'm getting a little rusty.
"Yes, I'm okay darling."
I didn't want to make her worry.
"You sure? You don't look good."
I closed my eyes, smiling for a bit.
"Don't worry about me sweetheart, daddy's..."
When I opened my eyes, she was gone.
Strange.
I didn't think about it much.
Then I was on my way.
