Chapter 133 - Playing Games is Actually to Protect the World

"Onyxia?!"

Everyone, still stunned by their sudden appearance in the ruins of Schrade Castle, turned to look at Wayne.

Wayne: "Yes! The daughter of Neltharion, the former Aspect of Earth, and his consort Sintharia—her name is Onyxia!"

Wayne's words completely confirmed Onyxia's suspicions. Looking at this mortal who could see through her every secret, she beat her wings. Having lost much of her gathered energy due to the sudden scene change, she directed her remaining "Deep Breath" flames at Wayne.

Wayne sprinted to the side, putting away his weapon as he ripped a Flash Bomb from his belt and hurled it at the diving dragon's head!

He didn't have time to warn his teammates. While players like Corrine, who had played Monster Hunter G, had already turned away and covered their eyes, the uninformed Shadowbreak and others were temporarily blinded by the sudden, intense light, just like Onyxia.

Onyxia breathed fire blindly, but her aim was off. Unable to pull up in time, she slammed headfirst into the ground. The impact knocked her into a daze.

Not everyone involved in the battle had been transported. The two Dwarves, Anasha, and Sandar's two warlock colleagues—those who had never played the net cafe's games—remained behind. To them, the people and the dragon around them had simply vanished into thin air.

"Quick! Attack her! The world we're in won't last long!" Wayne drew his massive axe, sprinted forward, and performed a leaping slash on the dragon's wing. A deep, bloody gash appeared. Corrine, Oneria, and others who had been helpless earlier now swarmed forward, their daggers a blur.

Andromath and the other mages, having recovered some mana, continued to bombard Onyxia with Arcane Missiles and other spells.

After a moment, Onyxia struggled to her feet. She beat her massive wings to create wind pressure, trying to sweep away those attacking her in close quarters, while lashing out with her foreclaws and tail. But after her struggle with the magical shield and unleashing two consecutive "Deep Breaths," most of the energy in her body was spent. The shock of the scene change had also taken its toll, and exhaustion finally began to show.

As the group swarmed her, she exhaled a burst of fire around her body. Corrine and Oneria couldn't dodge in time; their clothes caught fire, and they cried out in pain. Shadowbreak chanted Fast Heal to treat them, but Onyxia wasn't finished and prepared to breathe on them again.

FUS ROH DAH!

A roar that drowned out every other sound on the field erupted. Wayne had used the Dragonborn's shout, "Unrelenting Force." The powerful shout turned into a massive physical push that shoved Onyxia's flames back into her own face, scorching her!

"Ah!!!"

Onyxia was being driven mad by everything happening. Scarred and wounded, she let out a piercing shriek. The shockwave from the sound forced everyone to crouch and cover their ears.

"Arrogant mortal! What have you done to me?!"

"Summon Water Elemental!"

Before she could get an answer from Wayne, Andromath shouted a spell for a Level 5 Water Magic spell from Heroes of Might and Magic III!

Magical energy condensed at the tip of his staff and fell before him, transforming into a massive Water Elemental with a finned tail! Now everyone understood: in this converted scene, they could use any skill or magic they had ever learned and mastered in the games!

Ana: "Bless!" Golden magical energy spread to every teammate present. This was a buff to increase damage!

Marlin: "Haste!" A white whirlwind blew from his staff to everyone's feet. The exhausted group felt their bodies become much lighter, their movements becoming incredibly swift!

Zaldimar: "Fire Protection!" Red magical energy gave everyone the ability to resist fire damage!

Sandar : "Summon Flame Atronach!" As a warlock, he summoned the Flame Atronach from The Elder Scrolls V. This elemental creature didn't look like the bulky, burning fire elementals from Heroes of Might and Magic III or World of Warcraft; it looked more like a succubus that had been set on fire. The female-shaped atronach was fearless of fire, capable of both ranged attacks and standing before its master to block damage.

Corrine's dual blades hummed with energy, and her body emitted a red light. She had entered the Demon Mode from Monster Hunter G!

Raymond followed suit, shouting a spell: "Slow!" But the magic he cast hit Onyxia and bounced off like a drop of water hitting an umbrella. It was a Level 1 spell from Heroes of Might and Magic III, a very common one, but it had no effect here.

Wayne turned and cursed at his foolish apprentice: "You idiot, do you think a Black Dragon is going to be affected by Level 1 magic?!"

Shadowbreak dropped his two-handed hammer. He clenched his fists and stacked them before his chest, closing his eyes and focusing on the scenes he had played in the game. As his mental strength condensed, a longsword shimmering with holy light appeared in his hands!

"Dawnbreaker! It's really Dawnbreaker!!!" Shadowbreak was so emotional he almost wept. He hadn't expected that what he had been dreaming about for days would manifest in this life-and-death battle!

But while the others were merely using in-game skills, Amy's actions shocked the casters present. She chanted a strange spell no one had heard before, yet it felt strangely familiar. She gathered Arcane energy between her hands, adopting the same posture as dual-casting Destruction spells in The Elder Scrolls V, and then channeled the energy into Onyxia, causing it to explode. Unlike Arcane Missiles, this channeling was instantaneous. With her continuous casting, the scale of each explosion and the mana consumption grew stronger than the last!

Old Marlin asked his daughter, "What magic is this?"

Amy looked a bit dazed but answered focusedly, "I don't know. I call it 'Arcane Blast'!"

Onyxia was furious but helpless. She fended off these skills and spells she had never seen before, having no idea how to counter them.

Oneria was anxious on the sidelines. Having only played The Elder Scrolls V twice, and as a stealth thief in the game, there was no place for a stealth rogue in the current situation. She shouted in frustration, "Argh! I haven't played enough!"

"I have come a long way to fight for you, my Thane of Whiterun!"

To Oneria's surprise, Lydia suddenly appeared by her side!

Onyxia was now thinking: Where am I? What am I doing? Who are these people I'm fighting? She was wary of Wayne's massive shout and didn't dare breathe fire again. But facing the relentless waves of attacks from this group, she knew she had lost all chance of victory in this strange place. She beat her wings with all her might, preparing to fly into the sky.

"Immobilize!"

Wayne wasn't about to let this monster escape. Although it was a dangerous gamble, in his and Mathias's plan, this moment was the most crucial link before achieving their final goal!

But the Black Dragon was too large. Wayne's single immobilization spell only made a small part of Onyxia's wing stiff, failing to stop her ascent.

Amy and Marlin immediately supported: "Immobilize!"

Zaldimar and Raymond: "Petrificus Totalus!"

Ana shouted the levitation charm: "Wingardium Leviosa!"

Andromath cast: "Fly!"

Their magic targeted Corrine and Shadowbreak. Under the spells' effects, the two actually took to the air, brandishing their weapons to chase Onyxia into the sky. Oneria and Lydia fired daggers and arrows incessantly.

Sandar, ignoring the pain, used Life Tap several times—sacrificing his own health for a massive surge of mana—and unleashed the ultimate killing move from Heroes of Might and Magic III: "Implosion!"

Onyxia knew clearly that her wounds were becoming more numerous and severe. If she didn't leave now, she truly wouldn't be able to. But under the influence of these strange spells, her wings had become as rigid as steel plates. Her back had taken a heavy hit from the "Implosion," and her four claws were gradually becoming paralyzed and unresponsive.

"Wayne!"

"Wayne!!"

"Wayne!!!"

Everyone shouted Wayne's name in unison as they cast spells and attacked, holding Onyxia in place, waiting for him to deliver the final, fatal blow.

Wayne gripped his axe, looking at the slowly descending Onyxia. Just as he prepared to step forward and deliver a full-power strike to the dragon's head, he heard a shout from behind:

"Rozan! Shoryu Ha!"

A plump, round, black-and-white body flashed past him and leaped into the air. With one leg tucked and the other extended, the energy surrounding his toe transformed into the shape of a green dragon's head. Wayne knew this was clearly the Monk skill "Flying Serpent Kick" from World of Warcraft!

In this world, the only person who could perfectly combine "Rozan Shoryu Ha" and "Flying Serpent Kick" was the same person who had once combined "Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken" (Meteor Fist) with "Fists of Fury"!

"Chen?!" Wayne cried out in surprise!

"Hayaa!"

"Well done, Uncle!" Li Li's voice cheered.

Onyxia, struck by the blow, lost her balance and crashed heavily from the air. This time, she no longer had the strength to fight back.
