The bedroom is quiet and warm. Dante and Leo are resting together after their long night.
Suddenly, a loud and hard knock hits the door.
"Boss? It is Etienne. I am asking to enter. I have news about the shipment," the voice calls out from the hallway.
Dante sits up. He does not look tired at all. He is a man of pure action. "Enter," he barks.
Etienne walks into the room fast. He keeps his eyes away from the bed out of respect. He looks straight at Dante.
"Boss, the main ship is delayed at the docks," Etienne says. "The rivals are moving in. They think they can take the cargo."
Dante begins to dress. He moves with a calm and heavy power. He is the richest man in the city. One ship does not shake him. He has so much money that he does not even blink at the loss.
"The ship will deliver eventually," Dante says. His voice is cold. "Everyone in this city revolves around my business. They cannot stop the flow of my empire."
"Then why are we rushing, sir?" Etienne asks.
Dante looks at Etienne with eyes like a predator. "I am not going there for the money, Etienne. I am going because there is a betrayal inside my house. Someone used my codes to delay that ship. I am going to find that traitor."
"There is more, Boss," Etienne adds. "Chaos is starting at the hospital. Our injured men are being attacked."
Dante grabs his black jacket. He looks at Leo. Leo is standing up now. He looks strong.
"Do you trust me that much, Dante?" Leo asks. "To handle the hospital alone while you go to the docks?"
Dante stops. He looks at Leo. He reaches out and grips Leo's chin with a firm and possessive hand.
"Who are you again?" Dante asks.
"I am your fiancé," Leo says. He does not look away.
"Exactly," Dante whispers. "You have my power. Go to that hospital. Kill who you have to kill. The things you can do, do them with pride. The things you cannot finish... leave those for me."
Leo nods, but then he turns his gaze toward both Dante and Etienne. His face becomes hard. He looks at them with the eyes of a true master.
"Listen to me, both of you," Leo says. His voice is cold and clear. "Dante, you are stubborn. Your body is already covered in scars from your old wars. I am not adding any more to that collection."
Leo steps closer to them, his eyes jumping between his fiancé and the guard.
"If you go to those docks and you get injured... if I see even one new mark or a single scratch on you when you return... do not bother coming back to this house," Leo commands.
The room goes silent. Etienne freezes. He realizes that this command is for him just as much as it is for Dante.
"I mean it," Leo continues, looking at Dante. "If you come back bleeding, stay outside. You are not welcome in this home until you learn to protect yourself. Etienne, if you bring your master back with a wound, do not bother to bring yourself back either. Stay on the street."
Etienne bows his head so low it is almost touching his knees. He finally understands the truth. The power in this house has shifted. Leo is not just a partner; he is the new Boss who tells the old Boss what to do.
Dante looks at Leo. He is shocked for a second, but then a dark, proud smile grows on his face. He loves this fire. He loves that Leo is strong enough to threaten even him.
"I understand, my love," Dante says with a smirk. "I will keep my skin clean just for you."
"See that you do," Leo says. "I will handle the hospital. Now go."
They leave the room together. Dante heads for the cars, moving carefully because he knows Leo is watching. Leo heads for the hospital with a small team, ready to show the city his new power.
Etienne follows Dante, but he is looking back at Leo with total fear and respect. The new Master has arrived, and his word is law.
