Chapter 18 - The Herta's Paper Lands on the Universe's Top Journals — The Entire Cosmos Is Shaken!

The Blue's First University, female dormitory.

After finishing the design blueprint for the Magical Girl Transformation Device · Soul Gem, Herman did not immediately contact Patavia, the IPC's emissary. Instead, he decided to first publish The Herta's paper on the Solitary Waves Theory, which she had solved not long ago.

That way, her reputation would rise. When the time came to cooperate with the IPC and negotiate the price for selling the Magical Girl Transformation Device, he would be able to demand more.

In addition, he also needed to purchase Dreamstones and Memoria from the Family of Penacony—the Planet of Festivities—in order to produce a completed Soul Gem.

"Haa..."

After organizing his thoughts in his mind, Herman took a deep breath and spoke to the Fourth Mirror in the room.

"I have a task for you. Summarize the solution to the Solitary Waves Theory and turn it into an SC-level paper. Next, I will publish it in the universe's top journals!"

"In addition, help me place an order with the Oak Family of Penacony—the Planet of Festivities..."

"Yes, Mr. Herman!"

The Fourth Mirror responded swiftly. Its CPU began running at high speed. By the time night fell, everything had been processed.

Of course, Herman did not directly submit the AI-written paper from the Fourth Mirror to the universe's top journals. He intended to have The Herta review it first.

Thus, Herman quickly closed his eyes and contacted The Herta, asking her to conduct a final review.

Very soon, The Herta finished reading the paper and made six revisions...

Then her voice rang out beside Herman's ear.

"The paper can now be officially submitted. I truly did not expect you to be willing to handle such troublesome matters. If it were just me alone... I probably would not even bother publishing a paper."

"I am your cheat," Herman replied. "The things you don't wish to handle, just leave them to me."

With that, he picked up Herta's phone and logged into the two most prestigious journals in the universe.

Galaxy Nature.

Cosmos Science.

Using his personal account, he submitted the paper titled: "On Demonstrating the Solution Formula to the Fourth Cosmic Conundrum: Solitary Waves Theory..."

The moment Herman's paper was submitted, it immediately caused a stir within both Galaxy Nature and Cosmos Science.

Many of the scholars working at these two journals were members of the Intelligentsia Guild.

There were even geniuses holding positions within them—including the 79th Seat of the Genius Society, Chadwick.

Chadwick, a future genius who would research the Imaginary Implosion Pulse—one blast capable of shattering twenty-four planets.

Thus, a pearl would naturally not remain buried.

Not long ago, Chadwick had personally heard Nous describe through calculation that the Genius Society had welcomed a new colleague—the 83rd Seat, named The Herta.

Now, someone using The Herta's account had submitted a paper to Galaxy Nature and Cosmos Science. Naturally, it had to be taken seriously.

Chadwick adjusted his glasses and began carefully reviewing the submission. Very quickly, he noticed that the formatting felt highly AI-generated—mechanical and rigid. It reminded him of an old acquaintance, the 76th Seat, Screwllum.

"Could it be that Herta also has an AI assistant—a mechanical intelligence?" Chadwick murmured.

Continuing his review, he soon discovered that although the formatting felt rigid, the content itself was undeniably excellent.

The paper thoroughly described the reasoning process behind solving the Solitary Waves Theory. Chadwick mentally followed along. He realized that even if he were to lead a team from the IPC—or even assemble a research group from the Intelligentsia Guild—there was a significant probability that, given decades of effort, they could derive the solution following this line of reasoning.

This made Chadwick believe that the paper was highly likely to be authentic. The Herta who submitted it was indeed the real one.

"The Fourth Cosmic Conundrum has truly been solved... Each generation produces its own talents," Chadwick sighed in admiration.

He then stamped the paper with approval.

Approved.

His thoughts drifted afar as he silently reflected.

Herta is indeed a genius.

But I, Chadwick, am not inferior.

It has been two and a half years since I began my research into Imaginary Implosion Pulse.

Perhaps before long, I will complete this project.

When that time comes, my reputation will surpass even my current standing. I will not be outshone by those who come after me.

With that thought, Chadwick rose and informed everyone in the office that the paper was genuine.

Chadwick—the 79th Seat of the Genius Society, editor-in-chief of both Galaxy Nature and Cosmos Science, a deep collaborator with the IPC, and a scholar of the Intelligentsia Guild—his judgment carried unquestionable authority.

As a result, the numerous scholars in the office hurried over to read the paper written by The Herta, summarized by the Fourth Mirror, and published by Herman.

"So this is the line of reasoning that solves the Fourth Cosmic Conundrum, the Solitary Waves Theory?"

"No wonder so many teams across various schools, even using the computational power of the Emperor's Scepter, failed to conquer it. The entire approach was wrong from the beginning!"

"An extraordinary perspective of understanding. Approaching it from this angle—Miss Herta's intellect is truly exceptional!"

"If she were to join the Intelligentsia Guild and accumulate experience for a period of time, whether it be Candelagraphos, Quantum History School, Armed Archaeologists, School of Interstellar Energy Resources, or School of Evolutionary Perfection... any would be possible!"

"Stop imagining it. Miss Herta is already the 83rd Seat of the Genius Society. Mr. Chadwick personally confirmed it."

Within the office, these top-tier scholars—renowned throughout the universe—burst into excited discussion.

From this paper, they saw The Herta's brilliance—genius-level insight that directly pointed toward the answer of the Solitary Waves Theory.

Beyond that, they saw the singular research capability unique to a member of the Genius Society.

At the age of eighteen, The Herta had independently grasped the correct research direction and solved the Solitary Waves Theory alone...

That was something none of them could accomplish—even with the computational power of the Emperor's Scepter.

Unless Chadwick himself led a team and gathered the collective strength of numerous scholars.

But that was practically impossible.

After all, Chadwick, as the 79th Seat of the Genius Society, had his own research to pursue—such as Imaginary Implosion Pulse...

Chadwick made the decision.

"Place Miss Herta's paper in the headline section of the next issue."

"Agreed. The content of Miss Herta's paper is simply too outstanding!"

"Seconded!"

...

One day later, Galaxy Nature and Cosmos Science—the two most prestigious journals in the universe—both released Issue 42...

Whether scholars of the Intelligentsia Guild or members of the Genius Society, all subscribed to it.

And then they discovered that the front page of this issue detailed The Herta's successful solution to the Solitary Waves Theory.

In an instant, both scholars of the Intelligentsia Guild and members of the Genius Society began treating Issue 42 with utmost seriousness, reading it word by word and line by line.
