Ten days passed in the blink of an eye, and the Fairy Knight military entrance exam began.
Takeru made his way to the castle where he was escorted by the guards to a large field behind the castle, where all the fairies who were taking the exam were.
As soon as he showed his face, all of the fairies gave him a mean look, and some started whispering about him.
"It's the mutant," one of them said, instantly showing Takeru that he was not welcome at all.
Takeru calmed himself and ignored all of their comments. He knew that they had every right to hate him after what he had done.
"Guys, please don't be mean to him. It was just self-defense," one of the fairies said as he approached Takeru.
He had red hair which flowed to his back, eyes yellow as the shining sun, he had an impressive physique, he was wearing black jeans with a blue jacket.
"You were defending yourself, right?" The fairy continued before he placed his arm around Takeru's neck.
'What the! Am I hallucinating, or is this guy being nice to me?' Takeru wondered.
"Uhm, yes, it was self-defense," He responded.
"See guys, also I heard that the guy has light magic, that should prove how pure he is." The fairy continued on defending Takeru.
"Luck! Stop being so nice to him," the others responded.
"Yeah, I also don't trust him," Zak appeared out of nowhere and added.
"Well to be fair, you don't trust anybody, Zak," Luck responded.
"May I get your attention, please," a voice said from behind them.
All of them turned around and saw the king, and instantly, they bowed down to him.
"As most of you all know, because of the war going on outside, all of the Fairy Guardians are not here, including the fairy elites, and so I am taking it upon myself to hold this exam." King Carter said.
'The king is gonna be holding this exam, I guess I gotta give a good showing.' Zak thought, as he let out a faint smirk.
"I will need to see how good you all are at using your magic and also how you do in combat. Those are the only requirements." The king said before calling his assistant to teleport them all to a giant forest.
The trees in the forest were 20 to 30 meters long with pink glowing petals, and in the trees there were a bunch of targets placed there.
"For the first test, I need you guys to destroy as many targets as you can. There are approximately 10 231 of them in this giant forest, and there are approximately 134 of you guys. Your score will be counted after every target you kill." The king said.
"Now then let the fun begin," his majesty dissappeared.
All of the participants spred themselves in the forest.
Takeru jumped on the trees up, and when he saw a target, he attacked his heart, forcing his magic out to defend himself.
Light magic: Light arrow
A brilliant light pierced through the target, scoring Takeru his first point.
"He really dies have light magic,"
"No way he actually uses light magic,".
The fairies said as they could not believe their eyes. Light magic was the rarest magic in existence and undoubtedly one of the strongest.
"Hahaha! Impressive Takeru, but you're not outshining me." Luck said before he unleashed his magic and pierced through a target.
"What was that?" Takeru asked.
"My ability, Penetration magic, it allows me to penetrate anything I point at," he explained.
'That's some overpowered bullshit,' Takeru thought.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Many targets were getting destroyed left and right. There was no time for them to chit chat.
Takeru moved around as well, scoring points left and right.
His light magic blasting targets all around.
Zak could not be left behind. He used his sword to cut through a lot of target, his speed was unreal, being able to go tree to tree in a matter of seconds.
Everybody was using their magic, but he was not. He was just using a sword and his wings, swiftly scoring a lot of points.
In the scoreboard, there was one participant who had not scored a single point at all. She was just standing there watching them all, allowing them to get a head start.
When she decided to start, the whole atmosphere charged.
Lightning magic: Thunder God
Her magic allowed her to summon a thousand lightning bolts from the clouds, which decimated about a 1090 targets in a single shot.
"No way, who is she?" The others asked.
"Her name is Ailo, I heard she was the little sister of the Fairy Queen, who is the third wife of his majesty," the fairies mumbled.
The other fairies did not want to be left in the dust. They also wanted to show off their powers to his majesty.
Beam magic: Omni directional beam
Another fairy used his magic, shooting multiple colored beams which destroyed a lot if targets simultaneously.
All the other fairies unleashed their magic as well, and very quickly, chaos erupted.
The forest became a light show, with multiple magic powers being shot everywhere, other fairies getting hurt in the process, and the trees getting destroyed instead of the targets.
Those who failed to keep up quit, and those who could continued.
Every last one of them gave it their all.
Flames burning everything around, water putting out the fires, lightning being shot everywhere, it was very dangerous for somebody who was not using magic, but somehow, Zak was still fine.
The exam ended, and all of the injured participants were disqualified and taken to the hospital.
After the injured were gone, only 110 participants were left, and then his majesty showed the score:

"No way, the difference between number one and number two is massive," the fairies said, unable to believe what they were seeing.
"I am very impressed by the scores for the first test, but now I need you all to rest, the next exam will be in 3 hours," His majesty said, dismissing them all.
