Chapter 4 - Chapter 4-The Choise She Shouldn't Make

Aarya should have pushed him away.

Every instinct screamed it.

Every part of her knew this was wrong-

Dangerous.

Irreversible.

And yet-

She didn't move.

His presence was suffocating now.

Not in force-

In intensity.

His hand still held her.

Not gently.

Not cruelly.Like something he refused to lose.

"Let me go," she whispered.

The words lacked strength this time.

And he noticed.

Of course he did.

His head tilted slightly.

Studying her.

Like she was becoming something new.

"You don't want me to," he said quietly.

Aarya's eyes snapped to his.

"That's not true."

But her voice-

It betrayed her.

Something flickered in his gaze.Dark satisfaction.

"Then fight me," he murmured.

He loosened his hold.

Just enough.

Giving her a choice.

Aarya stepped back instantly.

Her breath uneven.

Her heart loud.

"Stay away from me."

This time-

It sounded real again.

For a moment...

He didn't move.

He did something unexpected.

He stepped back.

Distance.

The tension snapped-

But didn't disappear.

"Run," he said softly.

Aarya froze.

"What?"

His gaze locked onto hers.

Burning now.

Unstable.

"Run," he repeated.

"If you can." Silence....

This was her chance.

Freedom.

Aarya turned-

And ran.

Through the dark corridors.

Through endless shadows.

Her pulse pounded in her ears.

She didn't stop.

She couldn't.

Because if she stopped-

He would be there.

And then-She did stop.

Not because she was caught.

Because something felt... wrong.

Too quiet....Too empty.

Slowly-

She turned.

He wasn't chasing her.

He was standing exactly where she left him.

Watching.

Waiting.

Like he already knew.

Aarya's breath slowed.Her steps faltered.

And then-

She did something she couldn't explain.

She walked back.

Not forced.

Not controlled.

Choosing.

His expression didn't change.

But his eyes-

Darkened.

"You came back," he said quietly.

Aarya stopped in front of him.

Her heart still racing."You didn't follow."

"I didn't need to."

Silence fell again.

Heavy.

Dangerous.

Aarya looked at him-really looked this time.

And for the first time...

She didn't just see a monster.

She saw something worse.

Something that could pull her in.

"This is a mistake," she whispered.

His hand lifted again.

Slower this time.Giving her time to move away.

She didn't.

His fingers brushed her cheek.

This time-

She didn't flinch.

His voice dropped into something softer.

"Yes," he said."But it's yours."

The words shouldn't have affected her.

But they did.

Aarya's breath slowed-then stilled.

His hand was still against her cheek.

Warm now.

Or maybe it was her skin that had changed.

"This is wrong," she whispered again.

But she didn't step away.

Kael's gaze dropped-

From her eyes...

To her lips.

Something dark flickered there.

Something restrained.

Breaking.

"Then stop me," he said quietly.

He didn't move closer.

Didn't force it.

He waited.

And that was the most dangerous thing he could have done.

Aarya's fingers curled slightly.

Her heart was loud now-too loud.

She should have turned away.

She should have pushed him back.

She didn't.

Instead-

She stepped closer.

That was all it took.

His control snapped.

His hand moved to the back of her neck-firm, unyielding-pulling her in.

And then-

He kissed her.

Not soft.

Not gentle.

Controlled hunger.

Aarya's breath broke-

Her hands instinctively pushing against him-

But they didn't stay there.

They tightened.Pulling him closer instead.

That was his undoing.

The restraint disappeared.

The kiss deepened-

Darker.

More consuming.

Like he wasn't just touching her-

He was claiming something far deeper.

Aarya should have stopped.

Instead-

She responded.

Not gently.

Not carefully.

Like something inside her had already chosen.

That was what made it dangerous.

Because this wasn't control anymore.

This was the beginning of something neither of them would be able to stop
