When Kaelen woke up again, the outside was covered in white snow. Below the altar's base, a group of kids was sitting huddled by a fire. Besides the original three children, Kaelen also saw four new faces.
The oldest was only as big as Harbet, the youngest was still being cradled in arms. Even though there was the heat of the fire, every child's lips were dark purple from the cold. The exposed skin and flesh all turned pale blue.
Kaelen looked at the surrounding scenery, seeing the Shrine was cleaned quite thoroughly. At least it was not as messy as the beginning anymore. One day naturally could not clean this much. Kaelen guessed that he had slept for at least three days or more.
"Harbet, have you decided to leave this place? If you stay here, at least you will be protected by the Deities."
An Elf clan child spoke up. This boy had a similar age to Harbet; the proud long hair of the Elf clan was cut short, jagged like a dog gnawed it. Harbet added firewood to the fire, answering:
