Chapter 266 - Leng Yaozhu's Journey to the Undead Plane

Bonus Chapter. Enjoy!

============================

On the night he returned to the Spirit Pagoda, Huo Yuhao locked himself in his room and took out the scale that shimmered with red and blue light.

The process of fusing the external Spirit Bone was much smoother than he had expected; it integrated perfectly into his body with almost no rejection.

With a thought, he activated the external Spirit Bone.

A halo of red and blue light spread outward from his chest, covering his entire body in an instant.

In that moment, he felt as if he were tightly wrapped in a thin membrane of interwoven warmth and coolness, which then solidified into a complete set of Dragon-scale armor.

The armor was an interweaving of red and blue; the ice-blue scales glinted with a biting chill, while the fiery-red scales shimmered with a scorching glow. The two colors fitted together harmoniously on his body, bearing some resemblance to the Spirit Body Enhancement of a Dragon-type Spirit Master.

Huo Yuhao looked down at his new armor and reached out to tap the plates on his chest, producing a dull, solid echo.

He then tested several offensive methods, from ordinary Spirit Abilities to a full-strength strike with compressed Spirit Power. As Gu Yue had said, no attack below the level of a Titled Douluo could penetrate the armor's defense.

Furthermore, he discovered an additional surprise: this Ice Fire Dragon King Armor's defense against both ice and fire attributes was ridiculously strong; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he was immune to both.

Even better, the armor could completely retract beneath the surface of his skin when not needed, leaving no trace, and it wouldn't interfere with wearing battle armor in the future.

After finishing his experiments, Huo Yuhao retracted the Spirit Bone, put on his coat, and stepped out. He walked to the door of the neighboring room and knocked gently.

"Come in." Leng Yaozhu's voice came from inside.

Huo Yuhao pushed the door open and entered. Leng Yaozhu was leaning back on the sofa, wearing simple white pajamas. Her long hair fell loosely over her shoulders, making her look like a completely different person from the cold and majestic Vice Tower Master the people of the Spirit Pagoda usually saw.

A thick stack of files was spread across the coffee table in front of her, and she held a pen in her hand. It was clear that quite a bit of business had piled up over the past few days.

Huo Yuhao walked to the sofa and sat across from her. He was in no hurry to speak and simply waited quietly.

After a moment, Leng Yaozhu signed her name at the end of the last file, set the pen aside, and looked up at him. "Is there something you need, coming over so late?"

Huo Yuhao's voice carried a rare hint of youthful excitement. "It's good news. I couldn't explain it clearly over the Soul guidance phone, so I didn't mention it then."

After saying this, his expression gradually became serious. He unconsciously leaned forward slightly, hands clasped over his knees, as if weighing how to begin.

"Aunt Leng, Elder Yi gave me a gift before." He paused, looking up to meet Leng Yaozhu's eyes. "It's a Demiplane he created, which can also be called a Small World."

Leng Yaozhu had been leaning back relaxedly, but upon hearing the words "Small World," she almost subconsciously pulled away from the cushions and sat up straight. In those eyes that were usually composed, a rare and undisguised look of surprise now emerged.

Huo Yuhao had met her first after transmigrating Ten Thousand Years into the future, and she was the only person in both timelines who knew he could travel between the two Worlds, so she naturally knew of Electrolux's existence.

Especially after learning that he was the true founder of the soul spirit system, Leng Yaozhu had always held a deep, heartfelt respect for Electrolux.

Because someone capable of creating an entirely new system was a rarity in any era.

But even so, creating a Small World was far beyond her imagination.

On the Douluo Continent, not even the strongest Quasi-God-level powerhouse of the current age could possibly achieve such a feat.

Creating a plane was simply not a Domain that Mortal strength could touch; it was the authority of a god, a great power only a deity was worthy of possessing.

She finally stood up from the sofa, her white pajamas swaying slightly with her movement.

She looked at Huo Yuhao, her eyes shining with a hint of eagerness. "Take me to see it."

Huo Yuhao had said all this partly out of a desire to show off. He had kept the secret of this Small World buried in his heart, and the only person he could share it with was Leng Yaozhu.

So when Leng Yaozhu said "Take me to see it," an irrepressible smile appeared on Huo Yuhao's face, and he replied crisply, "No problem!"

He immediately raised his hand, his fingertips tracing several fluid lines in the void before him. His movements were much more practiced now, the magical circuits flowing naturally with a single thought.

A hexagram array soon appeared on the ground, its complex patterns flickering like breath, enveloping both him and Leng Yaozhu. The light of the array flashed and vanished, and the two figures suddenly disappeared from the room.

A familiar sense of dizziness washed over them and then quickly receded.

When Huo Yuhao opened his eyes, what he saw was no longer the warm and familiar room in the Spirit Pagoda, but that gray, overcast sky.

Beneath his feet was dark, cracked earth, and the distant horizon was shrouded in an eternal twilight. There was no sunrise, no moonrise, and not a single trace of the vibrant color that life should have.

A faint chill permeated the air—a cold that wasn't the biting sting of ice and snow, but the deathly silence after vitality had been stripped away.

Leng Yaozhu had changed into a normal long dress before coming. Now, standing beside Huo Yuhao, she looked out, taking in the entire World.

It was exactly as Huo Yuhao had described: dim, desolate, and devoid of life.

Leng Yaozhu's perception had already spread out. How vast was the mental force of a Limit Douluo? Within a few breaths, she had brought everything within dozens of miles under her control.

However, the information that fed back made her expression shift slightly. The structure of this space was extremely complete; it had a sky, earth, air currents, and a comprehensive framework of Laws.

To be able to create such a World, Elder Yi's strength at his peak was likely even more unfathomable than she had previously imagined.

Just then, a rustling sound suddenly came from the distant horizon.

At first, the sound was very faint, like countless tiny bones rubbing against the sand, but it quickly grew louder, becoming an overwhelming wave of noise.

Leng Yaozhu's brow twitched. In her perception, countless deathly and cold auras were frantically surging toward their location from all directions.

It was the Undead creatures of this place. They had caught the scent of living people, like a pack of wolves that had been hungry for tens of thousands of years finally smelling blood.

An "Undead army" surged out from behind the distant horizon, a mass of white bones, with decaying armor and rusted weapons glinting with a ghostly light in the gloom.

Their numbers were staggering; one couldn't see the end of them at a glance.

Leng Yaozhu simply stood in place, without moving a single step.

Nine spirit rings rose one by one from beneath her feet, and the aura of a Limit Douluo erupted like an invisible storm.

However, the surrounding Undead creatures that had already closed in were not intimidated in the least by this aura, which was enough to strike fear into a Titled Douluo.

They were mindless, undying things that knew no fear, and they continued to roar and wave their broken weapons as they charged toward the two from all sides.

Leng Yaozhu's expression remained unchanged as she gently raised her right hand.

A wisp of gold-red flame shot up from her fingertip, transforming in an instant into a Phoenix spreading its wings, sweeping outward with a blazing heat that could incinerate all things.

Wherever the Phoenix flame passed, white bones were reduced to ash and ruined armor melted into molten iron. Those seemingly fierce Undead creatures didn't even have time to let out a scream before they were burned completely away.

Within a radius of several hundred meters, a blackened clearing was instantly swept clean.

Leng Yaozhu withdrew her hand and remarked, "Their numbers are significant, but their strength is average—mostly at the level of a Spirit Elder. They aren't of much use."
