============================
It was spring once more.
In the north, the ice and snow began to melt, and the earth, which had slept through the winter, gradually woke up. The sunlight grew warm, the wind became gentle, and an aura of vibrant life permeated everywhere.
However, for the southeast coast, the change in climate was not particularly obvious; the winters here were never cold to begin with, so spring arrived silently.
But as the mild sea breeze blew past, carrying a faint scent of the ocean and brushing against the face moist and soft, it was exceptionally comfortable.
After a vacation, East Sea Academy became lively starting from this morning.
Today was the first official day of school. People came and went at the school gate; having been apart for a whole vacation, everyone was particularly affectionate upon meeting, chattering about interesting things from their break as laughter rose and fell.
Huo Yuhao appeared in the Class Zero classroom early in the morning, and at this moment, he was all alone. He sat by the window, his face propped up by his hands, his gaze somewhat blurred as he looked out the window, though his mind was on other matters.
There was simply no fixed pattern to the timing of the travel between the two Worlds. Sometimes it happened only once in several months, and sometimes the World changed again after just a few days.
This time, he had originally thought he wouldn't transmigrate during the All-Continent High-Rank Soul Master Academy Soul Dueling Tournament.
Unexpectedly, after the auction ended, he arrived Ten Thousand Years into the future once again. Before the Transmigration, Princess Xu Jiujiu had handed the Ice Jade Scorpion left arm bone to Huo Yuhao as agreed. He successfully fused that Spirit Bone that very night, and his Spirit Power increased by one rank as a result.
In the World Ten Thousand Years later, after achieving a Breakthrough to Spirit King in Shrek City, Huo Yuhao did not stay for long.
Once the matters on Aunt Leng's side were handled, he returned to Donghai. However, Gu Yue had returned to her Clan and did not go back with Huo Yuhao.
Yesterday, seeing that Gu Yue had still not returned to Donghai, Huo Yuhao felt a bit puzzled.
With school starting the next day, he didn't know what she was busy with.
He sent a message over, and Gu Yue only replied with three words: "See you tomorrow."
Before long, the Class Zero classroom became lively. Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and Xu Xiaoyan arrived one after another, each full of energy, looking as though they had rested well during the vacation. Even as the morning bell for class rang, Gu Yue's figure was still nowhere to be seen in the classroom.
"Yuhao, where did Gu Yue go? Why hasn't she come yet?" Xie Xie leaned in with a gossipy expression, looking as if he were certain Huo Yuhao must know.
Huo Yuhao glanced at him but didn't reply.
Just then, the classroom door opened, and the teacher, Wu Changkong, walked in first. He still had that cold and aloof appearance, dressed in white with an expressionless face.
Gu Yue, who hadn't appeared before, was following right behind him. Huo Yuhao's gaze fell on her, and a flicker of doubt flashed in his eyes. Her appearance had changed again.
After Gu Yue, another figure followed into the classroom. She had long silver hair that fell softly over her shoulders, shimmering with a metallic luster under the lights. Her silver eyes were equally lively and bright, and her features actually bore some resemblance to Gu Yue's, yet she was even more playful and cute.
Huo Yuhao's expression shifted slightly—wasn't that Na'er?
Shouldn't she be at Shrek Academy? Why had she come to Donghai?
Although Huo Yuhao had many questions in his heart, he did not show them at this moment. However, looking at these two extraordinarily beautiful faces, Xie Xie immediately stood up from his stool.
"Teacher, has a new student joined our Class Zero?"
Before Wu Changkong could speak, Gu Yue beside him spoke up first: "What? You can't recognize me?"
As soon as these words were spoken, the gazes of Xie Xie, Xu Xiaoyan, and Tang Wulin all focused on Gu Yue at once. She clearly had an unfamiliar appearance, refined as if she were a character stepped out of a painting. But this tone of voice and sound were clearly identical to Gu Yue's!
Although Huo Yuhao had seen Gu Yue during the vacation, she had changed back to her original appearance at that time. Only now, with the start of the new semester, did she finally reveal her true appearance to everyone.
Xie Xie's eyes widened, his mouth hanging open wide enough to fit an egg as he asked stutteringly: "You... You're Gu Yue?!"
Seeing the shocked expressions on the faces of the three, a trace of a smile couldn't help but appear on Gu Yue's face. She slightly tilted her chin, her purple eyes carrying a bit of pride: "This is my true appearance; my previous look was a disguise."
The others hadn't expected that the originally ordinary-looking Gu Yue would actually be this beautiful in her true form. But on second thought, given Gu Yue's strength and temperament, how could she be an ordinary person? Thus, they quickly accepted this new reality.
At that moment, Wu Changkong's cold voice rang out: "Xie Xie, sit down!"
Hearing this, Xie Xie shrank his neck and sat back down obediently, not daring to say another word.
Wu Changkong's gaze swept over everyone, his tone as cold as ever: "Na'er is a new member of Class Zero. Same as before, today's first lesson... combat practice!"
After saying that, he turned and walked straight out of the classroom. The others exchanged glances and quickly followed.
Huo Yuhao slowed his pace, leaned toward Gu Yue, and asked in a low voice: "Why did your eye color turn purple?"
This time, Gu Yue's appearance was basically the same as what he had seen during the vacation, with the sole exception of those eyes, which had turned from pitch black to a deep purple. That purple was deep and mysterious, like the most brilliant stars in the night sky, making one unable to resist sinking into them with a single look.
Gu Yue naturally took Huo Yuhao's hand, the movement as familiar as if they had done it a thousand times.
She tilted her head, Huo Yuhao's shadow reflected in her purple eyes, and said softly: "I went back to the Clan for a Bloodline Awakening, so my eyes turned purple."
"Bloodline Awakening?" Huo Yuhao nodded thoughtfully but did not pry further. Everyone had their own secrets, and he had his too, so he never asked too much.
He just smiled and asked again: "Then you won't change your appearance anymore, right?"
Hearing this, Gu Yue's gaze drifted toward Na'er beside them, and a meaningful smile curled at the corners of her mouth: "That's hard to say."
Huo Yuhao followed her gaze; Na'er was currently looking around curiously, taking in her surroundings as if she were a kitten that had just entered a new nest.
Walking behind them, Xie Xie was currently tugging on Tang Wulin's clothes and asking in a low voice: "Do you know her?"
The "her" he was referring to was, naturally, Na'er. Xie Xie might look careless, but he was actually quite observant. He had been paying attention to his good brother, and the way Tang Wulin looked at Na'er did not seem like he was looking at a stranger.
Tang Wulin nodded, his gaze falling on the silver figure ahead: "I met her during the vacation. She knows Gu Yue, and she knows Yuhao too."
He paused and then added: "But I heard she belongs to Shrek Academy. Why did she suddenly come to our Class Zero?"
Hearing this, Xie Xie's eyes darted around, his mind already wandering who knows where.
