"This sucks."
Luca slumped onto the couch in the reception room at Blanchet Mansion as soon as we arrived, letting out his frustration.
He seemed entirely at home as if he owned the place.
‘Even Joshua’s never like this.’
I took a seat on another couch and smiled.
"It's still better than receiving direct orders like I did."
"I have so many brothers, why did I have to be the one chosen for this? There are still so many things I want to do in life!"
"Don't talk as if you're about to die, Luca. You're making me more anxious."
My words prompted Luca to sit up straight and let out a sigh, though he still wore a deeply furrowed expression.
‘This is quite a contrast from how he acted during the graduation exams. So, this is the real deal, huh? Reality’s really hitting him hard.’
"To be honest, I always knew something like this would eventually happen."
After a moment, Luca ran a hand through his hair and continued,
"But I didn't expect it to be now."
