Chapter 145 - Chapter 145: Standing Before the Impossible

The battlefield had gone quiet again, but this silence was nothing like before. It was not calm. It was suffocating.

The sky remained torn open, and from that fracture, massive figures continued to descend. Each one carried a presence that made even the strongest warriors hesitate. These were not ordinary enemies. Each of them felt like a disaster on its own.

Riven stood still, staring upward. His grip on his sword tightened, but for the first time, he could feel doubt trying to creep in.

This is beyond anything we faced before

Even after everything, even after growing stronger, this felt different. This felt like standing in front of something that could not be overcome.

But he did not step back.

Not anymore.

Beside him, Godwin took a single step forward.

The ground beneath his feet cracked slightly, not from pressure, but as if the world itself reacted to his presence.

Stay behind me

His voice was calm, but it carried absolute authority.

Riven did not argue this time. He understood. This was not a fight he could lead. Not yet.

But that did not mean he would do nothing.

I will support you

Godwin did not respond, but he did not stop him either.

That was enough.

The figure standing in front of them, the one who had called this final phase, watched silently. Its eyes moved between Godwin and Riven, as if measuring both of them.

You continue to resist

Its voice echoed, calm and steady.

Godwin looked at it without any change in expression.

And you continue to underestimate

For a moment, nothing moved.

Then everything exploded at once.

The massive figures from the sky attacked simultaneously. The battlefield shook violently as power surged from every direction. The guild and the allies reacted instantly, moving to intercept as many as they could.

But it was clear that this was no longer a battle they could fully control.

Riven activated his Intent Vision again.

This time, it struggled.

Too many powerful forces.

Too many broken possibilities.

But he forced it to work.

He focused on what he could handle.

An enemy descended toward the right side. Riven moved before it landed. He reached the impact point at the exact moment it touched the ground and struck immediately. The enemy staggered, surprised by the timing.

Riven did not stop. He followed with another strike, then another, using every opening his ability showed him.

This is what I can do

He could not fight the one in front of Godwin.

But he could reduce the pressure.

He could protect the others.

Nearby, the tall ally engaged one of the massive enemies, his movements sharp and controlled, but even he was being pushed back slowly.

The woman created barriers and traps, but they shattered under the enemy's strength.

The younger man fought with speed, but even he could not keep up with the overwhelming numbers.

The battlefield was slipping again.

Riven clenched his teeth.

Not like this

He pushed harder.

His vision expanded again, not fully stable, but enough.

He started guiding others even in the middle of his own fight.

Move left now

Attack from behind

Fall back two steps

His voice cut through the chaos, and once again, people listened.

Small changes.

Small movements.

But they created openings.

And those openings saved lives.

Above them, Godwin and the main figure finally moved.

Their clash did not create a simple shockwave.

It distorted the space itself.

The air twisted, the ground split, and for a moment, it felt like the world could not handle the force of their collision.

Riven looked up briefly.

He still could not see everything.

But he could feel it.

That level

It was still far away.

But not unreachable.

The main figure raised its hand, and a massive wave of dark energy formed around it. It expanded outward, threatening to swallow everything below.

Riven's eyes widened.

If that hits, the entire battlefield will be gone

His mind raced.

His Intent Vision reacted again.

This time, it did not show hundreds of paths.

It showed one.

Just one.

A narrow, almost impossible chance.

Riven took a step forward.

Then another.

He ignored everything else.

Ignored the fear.

Ignored the pressure.

He focused only on that one path.

Godwin noticed.

For the briefest moment, his eyes shifted toward Riven.

The attack above continued to grow.

Time felt slower.

Riven moved faster.

His body screamed from the strain, but he did not stop.

He reached the exact point shown in his vision.

And then he jumped.

Straight into the air.

Toward the edge of the forming attack.

The others saw it and froze.

What is he doing

Riven raised his sword.

Not to block.

Not to overpower.

But to redirect.

Just slightly.

That was all he needed.

The moment the attack released, Riven moved at the exact angle his vision had shown him.

His blade touched the edge of the energy wave.

And shifted it.

Just enough.

The massive attack changed direction slightly and passed over the battlefield instead of hitting it directly.

It still caused destruction in the distance, but the guild survived.

Riven fell back to the ground, landing hard.

His body gave out immediately.

But his eyes were still open.

Still focused.

He looked up at the sky again.

Breathing heavily.

I can reach it

Not now.

Not yet.

But one day.

Above, Godwin continued fighting without pause.

And for the first time, the main figure's expression changed.

Not anger.

Not frustration.

But recognition.

The battle was no longer one sided.

The final phase had only just begun
