Evening, Hufflepuff Common Room.
Karl, having already issued the Hero's Call, was waiting for the heroes to arrive.
Apart from attending Herbology Class in the afternoon, he had spent the rest of his time tangling with Madam Pince in the library.
As it turned out, Karl lost.
Whenever he got even slightly close to the Restricted Section, Madam Pince would appear like a ghost.
And she would be wielding a feather duster that looked like it had seen many battles, ready to shoo him away at any moment.
Should he try it at night?
But the problem was that just because Harry could do it, didn't mean he could.
There were many dangerous Dark Arts books in the Restricted Section of the library; Karl, for one, didn't believe for a second that there were no protective or alarm spells set up there.
Maybe the moment he opened a Dark Arts book, an old man with a long white beard and a big red bird would pop out.
With blue eyes, a crooked nose, and a smiling face—that would be much scarier than the Dark Arts.
Where could he learn the Fiendfyre Curse? Or maybe...
Just as Karl was racking his brains, Judy arrived, holding Fire Treasure and leading Audrey and the four of them.
That's right, the Hero's Call was delivered by Fire Treasure.
Karl had already discovered that Fire Treasure's lethality toward young witches was maxed out; even Prefect Judy couldn't resist it.
However, the effect on the young Wizards seemed a bit weaker, as all of them had miserable expressions on their faces.
"What's wrong with you?"
Summers replied listlessly, "The Potion Class homework is too much, and it's especially difficult. Cedric and I have been working on it for hours and still haven't finished."
Karl looked at Cedric in surprise, "You find it difficult too? No way, right?"
It was normal for a slacker like Summers to be stumped by homework, but how could an ace student like him be in the same boat?
Cedric glanced at Summers with melancholy, then silently looked up at the ceiling.
Although he didn't say anything, in reality, he had said everything.
Karl understood and gave Cedric a look of sympathy.
It seemed that no matter where you were, it was the same: you don't fear an opponent like a Dragon, you fear a teammate like a Troll.
"What about you two?"
Shabi and Stebbins were slumped on the sofa, which made Karl think of a classic meme.
"We have Transfiguration Class tomorrow morning, and we haven't finished our homework yet."
"Come on, guys, that was yesterday's homework, right?"
"Does it make a difference? The difficulty of the homework won't decrease. Someone like you who gets points added won't understand."
"Someone like me?"
"Someone who gets points added!"
Karl suddenly realized, "That's right! I would have forgotten if you hadn't mentioned it!"
Shabi, Stebbins: (¬_¬)
"Ahem!"
Ignoring their scornful looks, Karl turned his gaze toward Prefect Judy, who was playing with Fire Treasure.
"Prefect, Headmaster Dumbledore asked me to pass a message to you."
Judy elegantly lifted her long, slender neck, "What did the Headmaster say?"
Karl then repeated the conversation he had with Dumbledore in the Headmasters Office.
After listening, a joyful light flashed in Judy's eyes, and she couldn't suppress the corners of her mouth from curling upward.
"That's great! I've long been sick of these school uniforms whose style hasn't changed in hundreds of years!"
Besides that, the moment she thought about being able to fleece... earn Galleons from other pure-blood families, she couldn't suppress her excitement.
"Our Hufflepuff Anxin Fire Clothing Shop needs to be established as soon as possible!"
Holding Fire Treasure and rubbing her cheek against it, Judy turned her head to look at Stebbins, "Did you reach an agreement with Madam Malkin?"
Thinking of the golden Galleons, Stebbins immediately perked up.
"It's settled, it's settled! It's just that preparing the fabric and such will take time, but my mother's craftsmanship is absolutely top-notch!"
Everyone agreed with this, as most Hogwarts students bought their school uniforms and robes from Madam Malkin.
"What about the design sketches?"
Karl, being watched by Judy, didn't want to speak and pointed at Audrey.
"Hehe, Karl's drawings were too ugly! So I redrew them!"
Audrey took out a dozen pieces of parchment from her bag and shared them with everyone with a grin.
"How are they?"
Shabi: "Wow! So these clothes are actually this pretty! I thought..."
Stebbins: "I didn't realize it, Audrey, you actually have this skill!"
Summers: "They really are different! Before, I thought they were about the same!"
Cedric glanced at the expressionless Karl, swallowed the words that were about to come out of his mouth, and continued to look up at the ceiling.
Watching the few of them mocking him to his face, Judy almost couldn't hold back her laughter.
"What are you all saying? What you drew, Audrey, is just pretty; Karl's original version is what you call art!"
Karl: (▔,▔)
You guys don't know a thing! This is called being a soul artist!
Damn it! I don't want to talk to you!
"By the way, Karl, I received a letter from home. Before Halloween, we can publish 'the lion, the witch and the wardrobe' and 'Prince Caspian', happy?"
Karl raised an eyebrow. Of course he was happy! It made his hard work transcribing it before school started worth it!
"Hahaha! Actually, it's alright! Why don't we discuss the four ways to draw the clothes?"
...
Hufflepuff had two classes on Friday morning. After the classes ended, Karl received one piece of good news and one piece of bad news.
The good news was that in Transfiguration Class, Professor McGonagall added another five points for him.
The bad news was that after History of Magic ended, Karl asked Professor Binns about the early days of the school's founding, but he didn't get any useful information.
Professor Binns was an outstanding Wizard and historian during his lifetime, which was why he was invited by Salazar Slytherin.
When he arrived at the school, the Castle had already been built, and he usually didn't pay much attention to things other than magic and history.
So, regarding Karl's question, Professor Binns just answered with many other things about the school.
For example, Helga cooked well, Rowena didn't like going out, Salazar liked silence, and Godric was the most restless.
Hmm, useless knowledge has increased.
Just after finishing lunch, Karl was dragged out of the Great Hall by Nina.
"Where are you taking me?"
Seeing that they were getting further and further away from Hogwarts Castle, Karl sensed something was wrong.
By this time, they had already passed the greenhouses and were walking west along the edge of the vegetable garden.
"The Forbidden Forest, of course. I promised Cho Chang I'd take her on an adventure this weekend. For safety reasons, let's go scout the path first."
In the Hogwarts curriculum, first-year students have no classes on Friday afternoons.
Besides teaching upper-year students, the Professors also had to deal with first-year students running around the Castle, so it was the perfect time to sneak into the Forbidden Forest.
Karl: (⊙_⊙)
When others transmigrate to Hogwarts, they always take their little friends to explore the Forbidden Forest. Why is it the other way around for him?
"My dear classmate Nina, my best friend, Cho Chang's safety is very important, but what about mine?"
What does that mean? Bring me to scout the path?
As everyone knows, being a scout is a very dangerous profession.
The corpses of a certain Yordle could pave the entire Summoners Rift.
And several layers deep at that!
