Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Island Arrival and Revenge Plans

Island Arrival and Revenge Plans

"How did you escape?"

"I don't know. After they took me, I was knocked out cold. When I woke up, I was in the desert. If I hadn't run into some herdsmen, I probably would have been wolf food."

In the car, Hong Fei answered Tony's questions, a lingering fear in his voice.

"You were lucky, then. I thought you were dead."

"What about you? Mr. Stark, I saw the news. It looked like you were hurt?"

Tony said with a casual air, "Just a scratch. I was only stabbed once; I didn't even make a peep."

I almost believed that.

"Kid, you need to thank me, you know? If those bastards hadn't snatched me away from the militants, you'd probably be dead right now."

Tony assumed the kidnappers had focused all their attention on him, which was why Hong Fei had escaped.

"Thank you, thank you so much!"

If it weren't for you, how could I have made so many small fortunes in such a short time?

Tony smiled smugly, then changed the subject. "Don't worry, I will definitely find those people. With their level of audacity, they won't stay hidden for long. As long as they show their faces again, I guarantee I'll grab them by their tails. Maybe I'll even let you have your revenge. I remember that bald guy hit you a few times, right?"

Hong Fei nodded shyly.

Frank, you just wait.

The vehicle stopped at the port. They got out and boarded a yacht, arriving at a nearby isolated island. The brightly lit villa at night was very eye-catching.

Entering the villa, they walked through the corridor. Pushing open the door, explosive music instantly assaulted Hong Fei's eardrums.

Standing in the wide hall, watching the flashing lights and the dancing crowd, Hong Fei was stunned.

The lights were colorful, and the people were all young and beautiful women.

"Don't just stand there. I said I'd invite you to my party, and now it's your time!" Tony shouted in Hong Fei's ear, then shoved him into the crowd.

A moment later, Tony stood on the stage and picked up the microphone. The music stopped abruptly, and everyone's eyes converged.

The spotlight hit Hong Fei's head at the right moment. Tony said, "Ladies, open your eyes wide. What you see now is the absolute protagonist of tonight! He looks a bit shy; please don't let this continue, okay?"

Immediately, the girls screamed enthusiastically, their gazes burning as they looked at Hong Fei. For a moment, Hong Fei felt like a little lamb surrounded by a pack of wolves.

Not long after.

Hong Fei extricated himself from the crushing crowd. Apparently, the girls who were busy having fun didn't notice that Hong Fei had already left.

His Bagua Dragon Steps allowed him to slip away without even a touch.

Good kung fu!

Pushing open the door, Hong Fei was stunned again.

He saw Tony and Pepper tightly embracing each other outside the door, practically devouring each other.

Six eyes met. Hong Fei was the first to retreat. He walked out of the room, closed the door to block out the noisy music, and said, "Excuse me."

Tony was stunned. "Why did you come out?"

Hong Fei told the truth. "It's too noisy in there. Giving me a headache."

Pepper broke free from Tony's embrace and smiled triumphantly. "See, I told you. Not everyone likes a party full of women like you do."

She turned and reached out to Hong Fei. "Hello, I'm Mr. Stark's assistant, Pepper Potts."

"Hello, I know who you are. I'm Hong Fei."

Tony slapped their joined hands apart, then frowned. "Do you know how many people would kill to throw a party at my place? Do you know that if you just go in there and shout, everyone would listen to you? You could wake up tomorrow morning with a pile of women."

Pepper stood to the side and pursed her lips.

Hong Fei scratched his head honestly. "I still think it's a bit noisy..."

Pepper burst into laughter.

Seeing Tony's unpleasant expression, she took the initiative. "Alright, if you don't like the noise, let's go somewhere quiet. Follow me. What would you like to drink? Would you like to try the coffee I made myself?"

"That would be great, thank you."

The three of them went upstairs and entered a spacious and quiet living room.

As soon as they sat down, Tony couldn't wait to ask, "Are you sure you're really a man?"

Pepper, who hadn't walked far, immediately turned back.

Tony waved his hands quickly, then leaned back on the sofa and said, "Alright, it seems you don't like the big gift I prepared for you. Let's talk about something else. Are you Asian?"

"Chinese descent."

"Hmm, very good. Do you own a building?"

"Yes, it was left to me by my parents."

"Then you shouldn't be short on money."

Hong Fei nodded. "Indeed. But in your eyes, I must be a poor person through and through."

"Ha, interesting. Not many people in the world can call themselves rich in front of me."

During the awkward conversation, Pepper brought the coffee and then left unobtrusively.

A moment later, Tony said, "You are the first guest I've personally driven to pick up, but you still didn't give me any face."

"Sorry, I really do prefer it a bit quieter."

"It's okay, I'm not blaming you. I'm just a bit curious. Besides, I also wanted to ask you to keep a secret for me."

Hong Fei blinked blankly.

Tony: "You participated in the testing of the reactor and the Mark I Armor with me. To be honest, I've had many more ideas in my head that I wanted to try, but the conditions were limited at the time, so I made an ugly piece of scrap metal. Now that we've returned safely, I think it's time to turn my ideas into reality. Simply put, in the future, you might see something very similar to the Mark I Armor, but I need you to keep this secret for me until I'm willing to announce it myself."

Hong Fei nodded immediately. "No problem, I promise I won't mention this to anyone."

"Very good. I originally wanted to use money to seal your lips, but I think you might need a more precious gift. For example, Tony Stark's friendship?" As he spoke, Tony reached out his hand.

Hong Fei smiled brightly and reached out to shake it firmly.

After not even two seconds, Tony immediately pulled his hand away. "Alright, I rarely shake hands with people. This time it's for the sake of us having lived and died together. I won't shake your hand again in the future, especially since I now suspect you don't like women at all."

So, there's a reason why some people don't have friends.

After reaching an agreement, Tony sent a helicopter to take Hong Fei back to the city, and at the same time, he gave Hong Fei a private number. However, Hong Fei felt that the two probably wouldn't meet again very soon.

Sleeping until dawn, he opened the door, and Frank was standing at the entrance.

"Your business is done. Now, can we talk about the intelligence I want?"
