It's been an day since Garret was Captured supposedly he was going to be fighting a barroth although he didn't know how true that was but their was an match before him it was yian kut ku vs kula kut ku and yian kut ku won it was obvious fire sac and flight plus better physical stats it would obviously overpower the egg thief while eating his morning aptonoth tail suddenly a loud voice could be heard from behind the monster cages they always started arena fights like this it was irritating sometimes but it was also interesting to hear the matchups that will come out of the announcers mouth.
Announcer:"today is a special challenge! We have a freshly captured challenger today is the day they make their self known in our arena place your bets now!" As people bet on the other monsters some that were interested bet in the newcomer wondering who was fresh in the arena as Garrett cage was put moved to the Arena entrance hatch two poachers on top pull the lever opening the door while an poacher with a light bow gun shot the lock opening the cage as Garret stepped onto the Arena rock the second door opened revealing an barroth as the same poacher also shot the lock barroth ran out enraged both of them began circling each other.
Meanwhile in the private stands a woman with red hair wearing rathalos armor and a great sword sat down smoking a crushed up smoke nut in a pipe raising her eyebrow curiously looking at her right hand man Stark The leader of this operation legendary poacher Amelia spoke Amelia:"so…this is my new fighter" stark nodded noticing she looked unimpressed asked her what was wrong.
Stark:"what's the matter?, you don't like it it's a juvenile zinogre rare now a days" Amelia smoked her pipe starting to explain exactly what the problem was Amelia:"that's the problem it's a juvenile it won't last a week in my operation I might as well dock your pay but my interest is piqued if you think this thing is worth a full paycheck I'll hear you out" Amelia turned to her left looking at her son arkon he seemed detached truth be told he was guilty he didn't think monsters deserve to be treated like this but you can't pick your family or with your born into the best he could do is care for them after their fights even that was difficult a lot of the monsters here were either extremely aggressive or became hyper aggressive because fighting and this arena is all they know they couldn't even be returned to the wild Amelia spoke requesting something Amelia:"Arkon! Go get mama some fruit and more smoke nuts" he stood up and went to go do what he was told.
Meanwhile back in the arena barroth charged but Garrett jumped to the side as it slammed into the wall as Garrett charged forward to going for the neck it's one its head hitting him in the face with its head causing him to go flying back if there was one thing about this fight it was on his side since they were both physical based monsters their wasn't an advantage other than the fact he was a lightning monster not only did he have type advantage but because he charged electricity from static and blunt damage this fight was in his favor barroth lowered its head as steam flew out its crown it charged immediately he jumped to the side and slashed its leg causing it to fall over.
As he charged forward trying to get on barroth back it swung its tail hitting him in the face but instead of trying to resist the force he let it guide him as he twirled around before doing a backflip sending a ball of lightning towards barroth as it The round aggressively was hit directly in the face with the lightning orb shocking it immediately Garrett ran forward striking out in the face before barroth hip checked him in response to the attack Garrett did a backflip landing on his feet he noticed barroth mud hardened up from the electricity as barroth charged he slashed its leg again running forward it tried to hit him with his tail again but this time he caught jumped over it landing on its body as he started slashing away putting gashes on its shell.
As barroth thrashed and crashed around barroth charged into the wall Garrett jumped off as it slammed into the wall he managed to remove some mud but still enough their Barroth recovered and started shaking its body sending mud everywhere causing Garrett to dodge to avoid getting soaked barroth charged but he jumped up slamming shoulder first into its back pushing it into the ground.
As he bit barroth neck now that it was exposed the muddy wyvern thrashed and cried it got up dragging him through the ground garret held on for dear life but his grip strength wasn't strong enough after a few more times he went flying off the landing on his back breaking the rocks with his heavy landing as he looked up barroth was already over him ready to smash his head into the ground he rolled over doing a sweeping tail attack knocking barroth over as he leaped back he started focusing his thunder bugs howling fiercely going into his supercharged state before gathering Lightning bugs jumping forward and doing in electric slash which cut barroth carapace.
As the brute wyvern roared Garret closed the distance and slammed barroth into the ground with ease thanks to its damaged legs it couldn't put up as much of a fight as it struggled he threw his paw up and brought it down on its stomach then a second strike to the head as barroth collapsed dead he sliced it open and started eating it as people got payed for betting on him Amelia raised her eyebrow in surprise Amelia:"I stand corrected your share will be transferred I do believe you have delivered me a champion in the making" Arkon couldn't help but be stunned by the power display while eating Garret noticed something growing out of the wall dragonfell berries he approached and swallowed them quickly before being tranquilized and giving her a bigger cage for winning Arkon appeared shortly after he woke up giving him herbal ointment at first he was hostile but after realizing he was trying to help he proceeded to calm down.
Garret soon realized their was only One way to survive in a place like this and that would make it to the top which was exactly what he had planned to do
