Marco was in a hotel room in the city of Maturín when he got out of bed and went to Cooler, who was watching news reports in Caracas that several people were being found without heads.
Cooler then says:
"Yeah, there aren't any heroes here in Venezuela, and that symbiote will most likely have a field day until you deal with it once and for all." Cooler says.
Marco then says:
"He's not the real problem, the Avengers will deal with him. We're here to find the nuclear warhead, and after that, we'll return to the United States." Marco says.
Cooler then asks:
"Are you going to let him live? Aren't you the deadliest vigilante of them all? Where's the cold and calculating Punisher?" Cooler asks.
Marco then replies:
"Would you kill Goku from the beginning of the Frieza Saga? I'm waiting for him to become really powerful to kill him, besides, everyone knows the symbiotes' weakness: fire and noise." Marco replies.
Cooler then says:
"According to the rules of this universe, when symbiotes feed excessively, it means their power will reach a very high level and they will produce offspring. If this comes to pass, Lasher will become very powerful, and this could be dangerous for all of South America." Cooler says.
Marco then asks:
"Can you help me with mental training?" Marco asks.
Cooler chuckles slightly and replies:
"Of course I can help you, but be aware that mental training will be one-sided." Cooler replies.
Marco then says:
"Okay, this can be considered a test when facing guys like Hulk or Sentry." Marco says.
Cooler uses telekinesis, turns off the TV and orders:
"Sit on the floor and empty your mind." Cooler orders.
Marco sits on the floor, and soon after Cooler sits on the floor and says:
"Now get ready for a one-sided beating." Cooler says.
Marco takes a deep breath and begins to concentrate, and then the mental training begins.

Inside Marco's mind, Cooler appears and he sees a lifeless desert.
Cooler then says:
"I was expecting a little more, but it's okay." Cooler says.
Marco then says:
"I chose this location to be the first mental training test; if I don't disintegrate in a few seconds, it will be a good start for someone who has never done this before." Marco says.
Cooler then says:
"Let's see how much you can handle facing a stellar-level being." Cooler says.
Marco stretches out his arms and says:
"It won't be so easy to defeat me; once a Marine, always a Marine." Marco says.
Cooler then says:
"You will experience what it's like to face an extremely powerful enemy." Cooler says.
Cooler uses his speed and throws a punch that explodes Marco's head.
Marco's body lies on the ground, gushing blood, until his head regenerates.
Marco gets up from the floor and says:
"Okay, now it's my turn." Marco says.
Marco unleashes his full power, releasing a dark aura, and flies into the sky.
Marco then raises one of his hands and a yellow, disc-shaped energy emanates from him, and Marco shouts:
"Take this! Destructo Disc!!!" Marco shouts.
Marco throws the ball towards Cooler, who doesn't care at all about the attack and asks:
"Was that all? What a mes-" Cooler asks.
The Destructo Disc cuts Cooler in half, and Marco takes advantage of this, launching several energy blasts towards Cooler, causing a cloud of dust.
Cooler appears behind Marco and says:
"Good attack, but be aware that it only managed to hurt me because it's an attack that seems lethal regardless of power level." Cooler says.
Marco tries to throw an elbow strike, but Cooler kicks him and sends him flying several kilometers.
Marco falls to the ground, his entire body charred by the power of Cooler's kick.
Just as Marco was about to get up, Cooler appeared in the sky and with just one finger he created a supernova and says:
"Resist this and you will be a prodigy." Cooler says.
Cooler launches the Supernova, and Marco prepares to resist.
Within seconds, a large explosion occurs, generating a gigantic cloud of smoke.
As soon as the dust cloud cleared, Marco was there on the ground, or what was left of it.
Cooler gets down to the ground, finds Marco's leg and says:
"Not bad, I expected your whole body to disintegrate. Having your leg still alive means you're not so weak, but you need to train more." Cooler says.
A few seconds passed and Marco's body was fully recovered.
Marco then stands up and says:
"I expected to be disintegrated in seconds, but at least my leg survived, that's a good start." Marco says.
Cooler then asks:
"Weren't you supposed to be naked?" Cooler asks.
Marco then replies:
"If this were the real world, yes, but since this is my mind, I will always have my Kevlar vest, no matter the situation." Marco replies.
Cooler then says:
"Okay, now the mental training is over, bye!" Cooler says.
A portal opens and Cooler flies into it, and then everything goes dark.

Marco gets up from the ground and finds the legendary BFG-3000 weapon beside him.
Cooler then asks:
"Was this here before?" Cooler asks.
Marco then replies:
"No, but since it's here, it's going to become part of my arsenal." Marco replies.
Cooler gets up, finds a letter on the table, and says:
"This is for you, it's from a guy called Doom Slayer. " Cooler says.
Marco then picks up the letter and reads it.
